from software is a perfect example great development.... A team that stuck to what they know, built a fanbase, slowly expanded on gameplay, while sticking to their guns, what they do best, and achieving greatness... Knew they had the ability to finally go open world, and seemingly nailed it.... can't wait to livestream this.
I'm a samurai and have purposefully went off course and it's been amazing. So far I've stumbled upon a dragon and fought a pumpkin head boss in a random dungeon. Fought dozens of weird things along the way. I've loved every minute of it! Great game!
IGN y'all are funny for this one lol. 15 things the game doesn't tell you. I'm pretty sure there's about 300 things a Fromsoftware game doesn't tell you 😂😂
The "Encounters trigger when fast travel..." section is wrong. The time of day triggers those NPC events, not fast traveling. "If for whatever reason she doesn't appear..." It's because she's only there at night...
You get Rune Arcs for beating bosses while summoned. I’ve been farming easy bosses as a summon to get a bunch. Plus you get to help with the struggle lol
To the people who read the comments before watching the entire video: Stop watching!! These games are best to explore for yourself. Especially during your first playthrough. That's the magic of the souls games. Learning from your mistakes, discovering new areas, items and enemies. Stop playing these games ( or any game actually) with a guide by your side. It ruins your whole (first) experience when you already know everything in advance. Happy gaming!
Im so mad those springs don't deal fall damage. Thank you for including details that may be braindead obvious to some; I'm 46 hours in and had no idea how to reach that shoreline.
Absolutely loved Bloodborne, Sekiro and many others plus souls like games, especially Lies Of P which is better than many FS games. Tried Elden Ring and it seems like a major step backwards to me. Not sure why it just feels.....cheap. I'm gonna buy it though and give it a go since it's rated so well. Maybe it's just that it's open world and from the beginning it doesn't at all feel like a finished game with it not giving you a single goal
not always the case, in previous souls games, if you needed to trigger an event in an area, sometimes fast traveling out of the area after certain conditions are met is what helps refresh the area and gives you the npc/boss/invader spawn, hence why fast traveling out is mentioned here
It for sure tells you that you can fall into them. What is up with these videos where it says "__ Things the Game doesn't tell you!" , uhh yes it does.
Stuttering wasn’t as bad as some say, but my rig is brand new and high end. On the other hand, the key binding is the worst I’ve ever seen. Unplayable with mouse and keyboard. It’s more than just the keybindings, it’s the whole flow of combat with the mouse. It’s obviously not tuned right for mouse and keyboard. It’s fine with controller.
Stop watching and go completely blind! This is the only game to play a game like this, in-game events are all based on your initial reactions to them!!

Praise Bandai namco
Every game they have made is just purely fantastic (we don’t talk about ds2)
CD Project RED did the same with the Witcher series. I'm thankful at least in this that history repeats itself.

hi fellow samurai
The jump attack is so awesome. And so much more forgiving than the rally mechanic in Bloodborne or the partying in Sekiro.
Partying? WOOOOO NINJA PARTY
Don’t drink the sake
3:52 The game absolutely DOES tell you this.
it tells you about a few of these. If you read the spiritstream popup, it talks about negating fall damage.
IGN y'all are funny for this one lol. 15 things the game doesn't tell you. I'm pretty sure there's about 300 things a Fromsoftware game doesn't tell you 😂😂
Indeed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Especially when the game isnt even released yet
That's where Vaati comes in
No one ask u nothing bot
@@kennethlamb4054 a lot of ppl play the game already

Incorrect. The boss on the horse close to Morne Castle doesnt spawn at a certain time of day. It depends if you fast travelled or not
One of the only games where not telling you something is a feature
You get Rune Arcs for beating bosses while summoned. I’ve been farming easy bosses as a summon to get a bunch. Plus you get to help with the struggle lol
Or just invade
Just want to say they do tell you about the springs and the fall damage as a tooltip
Most of these things are written in the item descriptions
Learn what the quick item pouch thing is and how to use it, so you're not cycling through your horse and different healing flasks and such.
I’ve been trying to tell my roommate how helpful it is and he still has his horse and other stuff set to the same place as his flasks haha
Setting the quick item pouch button (Y) to one of the elite series 2 paddles is absolutely glorious.
How ?
Some of them really are the things which many don't know unlike other similar videos on other channels.
Press the hit button to hit
Learning not to use square to attack was a challenge 😂
Lmao yooooo this comment was me last night playing for the first time.
Rena appears at night specifically. Save your runes.
The game actually does tell you alot of the things on your list. You just have to read lol.

Newbies like me gonna need that guide 😄
True. And also... Don't play like a freaking noob
@@8520456 Cuz you're a noob
Mav, it’s a video game, not a sign of being a badass. Simmer down, nerd.
Also, expand your vocabulary. You throw “noob” around like confetti.
if only you people put this much effort in your studies.
Best co op of all the games also. Hope they keep the games coming

Almost as if it's there to wait for it....help you.
Game of The Year 4 sure :D = Epic Game
damn pharros lockstone is back XD
Also Patches sells Margit Shackels to make that fight way easier. Seek out Patches if you're stuck on Margit
It's the best game I've ever played.
A lot of these are time of day based, not 'fast travel' or 'upon entering new area' based.
Make a video on what they actually tell you. This is my first from software game & holy . No hand holding at all
This will be the GAME ever!
Triple H?
7/10 max
Glowing skulls have gold ruins inside of them. 💀
This game is awesome, I’d love a game like this set in the middle earth universe
Why not just play elden ring
What’s the difference between middle earth and the lands between?! Hobbits?!
Play the shadow of war games. Not as hard combat, more arkham style.
Absolutely loved Bloodborne, Sekiro and many others plus souls like games, especially Lies Of P which is better than many FS games.

Seriously, a, amazing, game….. just have to put time into it, figure it out, theirs enough channels to teach now & anything can be best….. GOTY👍
The boss thing is 100 percent getting patched out.
Defeated my first boss 12 hours in and then learned how to level up. Where do you get that in an hour? Lol
Haha! That’s crazy. You could’ve been leveling up from like hour one or two
The game told me how to level up about 30 minutes in. 😅
The horse boss killer - on horse jump and r1
The scale of this game is massive
ill watch this after my first play through, going in blind
It's click bait obvious stuff you'll discover in your first hours.
@@andrewvisser5409 hey I’m 25 hours in and still didn’t know a couple of these things haha
One thing it DOESN'T tell you is that it loves you, and cares for you...
Because it doesn't. It wants you to die. 🤣
You can change controller prompts from xbox to PC in the settings
Storm stomp is excellent for finishing off skeletons.
They do tell you about recharging your flasks in-game, actually.
after you kill you first group of monsters likely in gatefront ruins.
It's not fast travel to certain spots that unlock those encounters it's that some of those encounters only appear at night.

It has to be night time to see the invader in the warmasters shack and the same goes for Rena the witch.
Wow!
These are great tips!
This game is so cool!
third day playing this game and find this message:
"Fingers O' Fingers but hole"
right before Godrick fight
1st thing doesn't tell you is it runs like complete crap on pc awful even on high hardware freezing and fram rate drops all over
The spirits springs tutorial does tell you that you can avoid fall damage
“From Software’s FIRST attempt” that sentence made me hard.
What every From Software game never tells you: #1 - Any Narrative Plot whatsoever. 😂
What is a great rune and great rune arc? What do they do?
Impressed you could narrow it down to only 15.
Kinda rough that your first tip was to use the "help" button when confused
Which button is the Help button on the key board? The game didn't say.
Maybe it's just me but playing in offline mode seems to help the framerate on ps5
Mines fine if you set it to prioritize frame rate in the settings and then it runs like a dream
The witch only shows up at night!!!
How is everyone walking around in pimped up armour after a few days and im walking around in samurai rags and cant find anything? 😂
It for sure tells you that you can fall into them. What is up with these videos where it says "__ Things the Game doesn't tell you!" , uhh yes it does.
Hmm...a game about a lost ring in the middle lands...i wonder where they got the idea for this...
Watch the industry make a bunch of souls-like games now 🤣
It's not fast travelling to a place.. it's the time of day.
But why? What seeketh thee
That game hurts my pride a lot and so much other places too.
Where in the world do you find the twin blade before margit????
It doesn’t tell you that PC players using Ultrawide will have no support on a new title in 2022…. Unreal. HUGE letdown
Me: "Hello mr UK man, plz pronounce 'NO' for us?"
UK man: "NEERW"
Also, the game literally does tell you at least half of the things on this list jeez leweez
I’m surprised most of these weren’t “press start to pause the game”
Most of these were garbage… Any serious souls player that watched this wasted their time forsure.
@@LR.Housee agreed...I made the comment above but so many are full of "well duh" info
@@LR.Housee then the video isn't for you, this game is gonna have a lot of new players not familiar with other souls games
My PS5 is ready.
The 16th thing they dont tell you is how to game keeps crashing on ps5 every 50 min.
Why’s that white symbol on the left side of the screen? Looks like a tombstone? What’s that mean?
Auto save
First thing they didn’t tell me is the screen freeze in PC.
Heard some bad things about Elden Ring on PC regarding stutter and keybinding. It's in really bad form now. Did it happen to you guys ?
Stuttering wasn’t as bad as some say, but my rig is brand new and high end. On the other hand, the key binding is the worst I’ve ever seen. Unplayable with mouse and keyboard. can u tell us more about coop?
It's lack of information is very frustrating..
Who didn't cut out the underlying video at 7:58 ? lol
One of them should be the auto save not working on the ps5...
The game releases on the 25th Feb IGN, technically they does not tell us anything as of now, let us find them on our own
Can someone show key bindings for pc please...?

It doesn't tell you that pc version has so many issues
Things elden ring doesn't tell you:
1. As it tells you at the bottom of the screen...
If you look closely, there’s a Starbucks cup in the background
They do tell you about the second time
Love it

Can you play through the game in coop?
Yes

Right from the start or do we have to do something first?
Mostly yeah but just know that you can't summon your horse while in co-op so that reduces ton of paths
It tells you if you read the information in the menu lol
A lot of the things you guys listed are said in the game…
