It's amazing how good the FTX brushed Tracer drives, the 2in1 brushed systems have come on a lot. The Blackzon comes with a 5 wire servo where as the Tracer got updated to a 3 wire servo a while ago.
Tomley pointed this out but another issue with these cars is that the diffs are screwed too tightly from the factory. You can see it on your video when you are turning a rear wheel and all 4 move. Slackening the screws off a smidge massively helps with handling.
Ah, yes. I forgot to mention this! Yes, we had to do the same thing. They're still a little tight (as you saw), but they were originally so tight, they were basically locked!
For the boat/ ship Use abs styrene board as it's easily cut and you can warm it up with a heat gun to form bends in it etc , I used some for the first time yesterday in forming a battery tray and rock sliders on my crawler ,, 1mm thick is the easiest to work with I've found , use revell ca glue
Better than FTX Tracer , I bought last week the HBX 16889 PRO for 83€ on Ali with BF discount. UNBEATABLE. Same car but full metal upgrades , brushless , oil shocks, 2S lipo battery , better esc and radio (more range and no lag) . FTX just rebadges HBX and other cars. 😉
@TheRCScotsman I never realised how traumatised I was by my experience until you mentioned it in this vid 🤣. I'm sure they did get better, I was just unlucky to get one of the first.

Ah, very good info! The servo may well make all the difference, for some people. I'll pin this, so folk know. Thank you.
Yeah tracers are great, almost a must have for an rc fleet these days,a lot of bang for buck

True, that! Very good price!
Surge should never be mentioned again! Biggest pos I've ever owned. The Tracer Truggy on the other hand is definitely Wookie approved.
Hahaha! Yes, I remember! Thankfully, when I said "it was better", I was solely referring to the 2-in-1. Although, the Surge I used was alright!

Yeah, it was trash. Alun refused to stock them and sent the Rep home with a whole bunch of them!@@timtheveg
