Absolutely amazing.... It's a shame that one diver died. It's amazing that all the children, and their coach were brought out alive. Thanks to all the rescue divers, and everyone involved in this multi-national effort. Miracles do happen !!!
As a buddhist I understand that this is an exchange of one life for thirteen lives to be the spiritual guard of the cave. When it is time there will be another incident to occur to make a change of guard .
I still have not have enough of this amazing rescue! I watch every interview and every documentary available on RUclips! These divers were god sent to this operation!
Totally the same here. I started last weekend with the movie, "13 lives", then watched "The Cave", and I've seen over 15 hours of interviews, documentaries, news clips. Definitely ABC news has the best coverage of it all, and also University talks.... really interesting, really incredible and amazing.

I have no other words yonday but to say Thank you to ALL rescuers..to ALL who are involve on this operation. I am a Filipino but I feel so happy to see how the boys were rescued. How they team shows positive spirit and how ALL thr volunteers gathered together from food to final rescue. The farmers are so generous to loose their crops for the sake of these young ones. I am not a Thai, but I would say THANK YOU for showing the world that in critical times like this, people show LOVE. Love to neighbor.
Good job on detailing what went on behind the scenes. Many people simply could not understand the situation and risks in getting the boys and their coach out. A monumental international effort.
Thank you to all involved with this operation, although I have watched many many of the videos from other networks, but I’m still got a goosebumps feeling...you could call it anything, miracle, luck, etc: but most of all, it is a teamwork from a very and highly experienced professional especially the cave divers 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thai people just learnt this risky operation to bring all trapped footballers out of the cave by injecting ketamine to resuce their anxiety from the movie. It was very low chance of survivor 100% safe mission really. All volunteers with experties were great on their decision to carry all out through long diving condition. Well done!!
Been to cave once and I’ll never ever go in one again and that was just walking. These men were truly heroes to do what they did and repeat again multiple times.
I don't think "expect" is the right word though. Would be fair enough to say that a chance of death seems plausible (and it's understandable) since the kids weren't familiar with diving and they certainly weren't in healthy conditions. It's 12 minors plus an adult coach that they had to take out from the flooded, muddy cave. When the former seal officer lost his life, it was obvious that this wasn't anything less than a mission impossible but what good would it do to tell the press? The parents were waiting with little hope everyday but they still held on. Obstacles always popped up along the way almost every day of the rescue. And yet they'd miraculously made it.
Nobody talks a lot about the US military but their high level of problem solving was so critical to the success. This could have gone so bad if it wasn't well planned.
Yea the Americans should have done the entire rescue on their own because they can do everything better than anyone inthe world because they are Americans

john Baldock well, actually, it wasn’t only US and UK. There were US, UK, Thai, Australia, Japan, China, and some other countries. So, of course, the credit in all this help not go to UK and US only but some other countries I mention above as well.
Incredible effect by all to save these boys, out safe and alive 👍🏻👍🏻👏👏. I just have only travelled to Thailand a month or so after this tragedy…..I cried just watching the movie now on Netflix. I can’t believe that it took each boy about 8 hours to be rescued out. So does that mean they were swimming for 8 hours under water with the diver from one stop to another? How did the sedation of them last that long? I have so many technical questions, like how long does each tank allow one to breathe for? I know in the movie, the younger one Mark had mask difficulties & he was given a 2nd dose to get him out. A lot of the reporting was interviewing the British divers, but wasn’t it the two Australian’s that has specialised experience came up with the final plan on how to really get them out? Do we know who ended up providing the 600 tanks? That was awesome news. I wonder if the Thai government will help compensate the poor farmers that helped with allowing the flooding of their lands? I wonder if they will use the sedation method again in other rescues? Does it pose any morale/ethics? As long as the children are not harmed by this drug to sedate them. I do hope that now after this incident, that this Thai cave closes all season during monsoon season just to be safe. I wonder if it has attracted more tourists to the caves or people are scared to go in there now? I hate caves, they scare me. So I give kudos to the boys for being brave & having courage. I would have been scared to death, in the dark & cold. Rip, the naval seal that passed. Your passing wasn’t in vain. I wish all the whole kids and their families a blessed life. I hope you can live a happy life despite the trauma you all have been though. Love and light to you all. I know it’s all passed now, but those meteorologists people should really lift up their game in regards to notifying the public of dangerous & extreme weather. It’s their job.
not a single one, because there were ZERO US divers that rescued the boys. This NBC report is so typically American, making it look like the US did most of the work, when they did not.
Loads of caves flood, it's something cavers are aware of and check out before going. Even if some vandal wanted to spoil the cave in this fashion the cost and difficulties make it fairly impractical. It's more a case of common sense, i.e. Before going down any cave, I check the guide books (if there is one), ask around if anyone has been down recently and what conditions are like, check the weather forecast and then check the level of any entrance streams. If in doubt I go to a dry cave or do something else. Of course there's always a chance you can be unlucky like these kids and get caught out by a flash flood, but most incidents can be avoided if you're sensible.
speleokeir .I don't think so .that your own sense of just around the cave area say 10km radius can be enough to determine forecasts .What's about rain happens hundreds of miles away and only flood reach the place of the cave ???
In places like Thailand where you get intense rains the danger of getting caught out is bigger I agree, but it would be more practical to set up a store of emergency food, sleeping bags, clean water, a mole phone to the surface, in the highest points of the cave (assuming those don't flood at the height of the monsoon). I know of a few caves where that's been done due to high flood risk. Sounds like the authorities are going to turn the cave into a tourist attraction anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they change access procedures.
U hv to watch this Thai boys cave rescue story clip from beginning to the end - real live account from key members of the rescue team itself - it’s as good as a documentary movie in itself - realize after watching this clip it’ll be impossible for any movie producer to replicate the actual rescue mission- it has to be done via interviews with these real people themselves as U can see from the clip - the only missing link to complete this clip is hearing the stories from all the boys themselves.
this is a local initiation custom to go through that long cave system, right once it starts raining so there is no turning back and they have to exit the other side of the mountain. Apparently they got lost or went too late.
Edward Angel they walked in about 2 miles and then heavy rain and mud flooded their path to get out. The flood water was deep and in certain areas the water was up to the roof of the cave. the water was also fast moving and they would have drowned trying to swim out without help
It was not flooded when they went in. After an hour, they walked back to the entrance to find out that it was totally flooded. Then water level rose and they were forced to go deeper until they found a high ground about 4 km from the entrance.
Juan Flores they walked in when the cave was dry then the rain quickly poured in chasing them deeper and deeper into the cave. it's not the coach's fault as exploring the cave is considered a mainstream activity there. It was just unfortunate that the rain season came a bit early this year in that region.
It’s an explorable cave. They went there for sightseeing. When they walked in, it was not flooded. They explored it for an hour and walked back to the entrance but it was already flooded. They tried to find the way out, but were forced to go deeper because water level was rising. This is how it happened.
Jimmy Berry You can send money to their Go Fund Me account. The reason you haven't so far and won't is because you are like most Americans you only pretend to care but really you don't. And the proof in that is because you won't donate a dime to none of the survivors because again, You don't Care. SMH.
Absolutely amazing....

wdym by shame kinda sad
sadly a second one died about six months later from an infection he contracted in the cave
The British diver had been saving life in other part of the world even before these, now they are getting the recognition they truly deserve.

so great to see how many nations worked together as one team on one goal. this was truly a wonderful act of humanity
I had no idea that they expected some of the kids to die just makes it even more of a miracle than before
Jody McMullen. It makes me goosebumps
Lasna34. Even Jason Mallison was also saying that, if I remember
Not just one guy. Many divers said that some of the kids might not make it.
I don't think "expect" is the right word though. I wonder which diver Tom Hanks is going to play in the movie?
Lasna34.. hahaha! Probably true.
Judging by the recent Pedophilia allegations levelled at Ton Hanks they should keep him as far away from kids as possible.
X-Ray 911.. oh no, what?
Dont Stalk Me.. oh yes of course, there would definitely have to be some English guys. And Australian. And obviously Thai.
not a single one, because there were ZERO US divers that rescued the boys. This NBC report is so typically American, making it look like the US did most of the work, when they did not.
The best part of the rescue was when they made the media leave the site. Why didn't the media scream about their right to stay. Oh it was Thailand.
When will ABC learn to include links to other parts of the stories in the description?
Nvr son nvr.
The cave must not be used again until .at least two getaway hole drilled between end and center of 1.5 miles cave pathway

This is good, much better than the Australian one. This one has way more info. Good job!
So they purposely went into the cave to explore it.?
I never had a doubt for even a second !!!
How in the bloody hell did they get stuck in the cave in the first place???
this is a local initiation custom to go through that long cave system, right once it starts raining so there is no turning back and they have to exit the other side of the mountain. Apparently they got lost or went too late.
Edward Angel they walked in about 2 miles and then heavy rain and mud flooded their path to get out. The flood water was deep and in certain areas the water was up to the roof of the cave. the water was also fast moving and they would have drowned trying to swim out without help

This is crazy
Those British divers... 😊, God bless you.
The hand of God brought these kids out. Thank you Jesus!
How did they survive 9 days without food and water?
They had water from the top of the cave
they should of sent Buakaw in there first. Hes a very good swimmer I heard.
They are so lucky bcoz the villages where this mt. Located Are flooding now.
Can somebody tell me how the hell they got in there in the first place
Juan Flores .... Walked in
Was water in there when they walked in?
Exactly my thoughts
Juan Flores they walked in when the cave was dry then the rain quickly poured in chasing them deeper and deeper into the cave. it's not the coach's fault as exploring the cave is considered a mainstream activity there. It was just unfortunate that the rain season came a bit early this year in that region.

The Australian Doctor suggested the full face mask and testing it beforehand. Not the Americans.
So funny that when Americans are telling the tale it sounds like the Americans were calling the shots.
This is still being talked about?
where is the news on missle launch in hawaii? was it at airforce 1? where did it go?
Where is part 3
Thank you
What an MIGHTY GRAG our God Jehovah is. Thank You in Jesus name, amen.
Thank you.
Why did they go in there wtf
Did their best while expect and prepare for the worst
Awesome
Awesome until now mates
Does anyone know why they had any business in the cave? Haven't gotten to that part yet.. don't even know if it was mentioned but halp
Manda Yo it was mentioned a ton of times in many news reports.
thank you!
How long were they alll there for ?
What was the black stuff on their feet?
Dirt and grit. It is a cave after all so it was full of mud
Awesome four sum???
Nice
How did they get in there ?
they want to play in the cave but a big rain comes flooding the entrance so the kids went deeper because the water was flooding the cave
