Exactly, Those were just the cooling towers, and those things are HUGE! So by the video, it looked like he was well over a half mile away from them, and you wouldn't be able to get anywhere near them until the AR-carrying guards more less do a cavity search on you and your truck. lol. I've made a lot of trips into the plant in my county, and even tho' I'd been in there 1000 times and they all knew me, they would still search me and my truck like it was the first time they ever saw me. They don't play or take any chances when it comes to getting into the main fence around the plant.

Very clean until you have to figure out how to dispose of nuclear waste. Which depending on type of fuel used can stay toxic for over a million years. To this day we haven't figured out how to store it safely for that much time. There are millions of gallons of contaminated water just sitting in short term storage as we have no long term storage for the waste set up. Same with thousands of tons of spent radioactive fuel. Never mind there is always a risk of nuclear meltdown. Even with safer tech and human error nearly out of equation, its not a question of if but when natural disaster strikes causing a serious melt down.

All power plants are connected to the national electric grid (except for Texas for now) and supply power to the grid. In our area there's two grids, 500KV (the largest towers with typically 3 wires per phase) and 230KV. The 230KV lines also power up the major substations that send out 69KV - 130KV lines that feed the substations to typical cities and towns. The large substations near power plants in your area is where your power comes from via smaller substations along the way, but the power is coming from the grid. Think of it like a canal of water where you get your drinking water that is fed by pumps all along the canal. You might be drinking water that was pumped into it from anywhere - no way to know for sure, but most will be coming from your local area.

Some smaller reactors operating in deregulated markets have become uneconomic to operate and maintain, due to competition from generators using low priced natural gas, and may be retired early. The 556 MWe Kewaunee Power Station is being closed 20 years before licence expiry for these economic reasons.
Newer plants are designed for a 40 to 60 year operating life. At the end of the life of any power plant, it needs to be decommissioned, cleaned up and demolished so that the site is made available for other uses.

Nuclear reactors are being decommissioned because they are hitting the end of their operational life. The local NJ nuclear plant, I would visit occasionally, and 'back in the day' would have minimal security. That changed DRASTICALLY after 911. They surrounded the plant in razor wire, built 100' guard towers, security at the gate, check under car with mirrors, swab car for explosives, check with guard at reception, (all had M16's and 9mm across their chests), radiation monitors, escorted by person I was visiting at all times..... yea, a little different from walking in through the cafeteria open door.

Well there are several types of Nuclear reactors. Personally I am a fan of LIFTR style reactors or the old school MSRE reactors. The reason is those reactors are generally safe to operate and is capable of burning up high pressure reactors nuclear fuel. You can google and look up Oak Ridge Labs and the MSRE experiment there are several documents and some small older videos in regarding that experiment. My advice is to get a Radiacode either 102 or 103 and play around with it. Learn just how hot natural radiation around you is and explore for your self. The Radiacode 103 is the latest generation I don't think its out for everyone yet but it looks cool from what I have seen about. Check out Radioactive Drew on youtube it's really interesting how some things around you can be really hot.

I missed where you discussed getting an extra $1100 for a load in the video. I caught the part where you negotiated that you wanted $700 for a load and they said that they were at $600 and you said the lowest you would go would be $650 and they said that they only had $603 into it and you said that you would be available if they changed their mind and then a few minutes later they got back to you and said that they would agree to the $650. So, I caught that part.
And actually, I'm wishing that you would have discussed a little bit more on how that was a more important part of the video because it just goes to show that when the Brokers constantly tell you that they only have a certain amount in a load that they are completely full of shit. If they are claiming that they only had $603 into their load but they were willing to come back within a few minutes and agree to pay you the $650 for the load, there is no way in hell that they're losing money and you know damn well that they had way more money into it and could have probably come up easily to the $700 or even $750.
They more than likely had at least $900 into the load so they were just trying to negotiate as much as they could to squeeze you down to as little as possible. There's no way they were agreeing to take that load and lose money so I wish you would have pointed that out more in your video but you didn't.
Anyway, can you explain where you discussed getting an extra $1,100 for a load in your video I didn't catch any of that in the video and I thought I watched the entire thing. I will admit I was doing a few other things at the same time so maybe I missed it so let me know where it was in the video. Thanks.
