Ana! Feliz cumpleaños. I loved Centro. Really intense, but I never felt I was at risk for pick pockets, but I"m always 'big city aware' of what's possible. This Sanborn's is gorgeous and the dining room equally stunning. So much to see and the sights are behind the entrances. Don't walk by, walk into!
It's okay, friend, CDMX has been very safe for 5 years to date, it is currently one of the 10 safest in the country, if pickpocketing happens but when it is too full, for example on the day of the cry of independence, but your calm is safe
I am Mexican and I live here in Mexico City. I heard comments that you could be robbed and that is not the case. As in any city, it could be that your wallet could be stolen, but believe me, it will only happen if you are in very inappropriate places with a crowd of people. Here on 5 de Mayo and Francisco I Madero streets, that will not happen. If you are observant, the people around you are not worried about their belongings being stolen. I don't like it when people say that you are risking your life or your belongings. It is not like that. It can happen anywhere in the world if you realize it. Mexico City is no more or less dangerous than New York or California Center. Enjoy Mexico City alone. Do not enter alleys or corridors that are dangerous. Only in neighborhoods like Tepito or La Bondogito or something like that. It could be possible that something could happen to you. Here, where you are, nothing will happen to you. If you go, Grivaldi, do not get drunk because there, maybe your wallet could be stolen. Ok, greetings, friend.
I loved this. 1994 I lived 5 months in a block parallel to the Revolution Monument. I walked between la Casa de los Amigos and the Zocolo on an almost daily basis, and in the other direction along Reforms to the Anthropogy museum. Sadly I cant do that anymore
That same year I was in an armed holdup in a bar, but it was so low key that after 40 years of visiting I can still say I never felt unsafe in Mexico. By the way they didn't rob the women, just the bar and the men. When I related this story yo mexican friends they invariably said "Ay, son muy caballeros los mexicanos".
The guys with the organ grinders are called organilleros. And you're being a little paranoid with regard to theft. Yes, be alert but Mexico City is not Medellin or Caracas. I follow lots of Mexican and foreign youtubers who vlog from downtown Mexico City almost daily. Abrazos! 😊
Thanks my friend!! Definitely much safer than Quito as well… especially at night. Just having the IPhone 15 pro and the DJI gimbal out I felt a bit more vulnerable of course! And thanks for letting us all know about the organilleros! Definitely adds a vibe to that area. Much love from CDMX 🇲🇽❤️🤗
Happy birthing day...great vids bro, I get to PDC in 3 weeks and happy to have found you on RUclips, I have already planned my dinner options according to some of your food spots... Thanks
No reason to be so concerned about your camera and stuff: there are tons of videos like yours in this street with thousands of watches with no robbery report.
Hey, Happy BDay Ana. Monster, Im glad you seem happier in this vid (F the PDC Policia BS). (I was also.robbed by Acapulco Police as a teen in 1993). Smart move going to CDMX. I am sure you'll find alot more great content. Be sure to post Ana singing!! ❤Ivan and Familia
@@ivansostaric6973 Thanks my friend! Happy to be taking a break from those morons and taking in some beautiful culture, architecture and gastronomy ❤️🇲🇽. Thanks for sharing your experience Ivan… seems like it’s all too common unfortunately. Ana says thanks for the Birthday wishes!
Thanks so much for adding that valuable info here my friend! I’m in love with the architecture and history here in CDMX! Thanks for watching Joey 🇲🇽❤️🤗
Great Video !!! don´t miss SAN ANGEL , COYOACAN and CHIMALISTAC neighborhoods. If you Love huge parks go to PARQUE LA MEXICANA the most modern park in the city !!
Maybe you had an incect in your backpack. Because that's what we do. I do many times that when I see an incect or something on the person and many times they say to me are you triying to robe or something. But I just try to be nice to people. or sometimes when they eat and they have something on their teeth I tell them.
In all the world you have to be carefull whith your camera, but that streets are not dangerous, i was Robed in manhatan ( bike) Las Ramblas de Barcelona ( money) and Bogota Colombia (camera). Never in Mexico city down town
you sound very paranoid about pickpocketing. At least in Madero or zocalo is not that bad, just common sense and common practice will do the trick as in why would you have important belongings in your back pockets or somewhere easy to pull out? as far as your gimbal and camera? no one will try to snatch or rob you of those in that area.
@@demayoexperience while I completely agree that it’s not the most risky place, it still happens. My neighbor got his IPhone 14 stolen out of his FRONT pocket while waiting to cross the street down there. Easy to get distracted for just a few seconds and not pay attention. Thanks for watching.
Been robbed in Madrid and Paris twice, never in México City !😍
Yea I’ll take CDMX all day over massive US or European cities for sure! Thanks for checking out the video ❤️🇲🇽
