I'm a new drummer (@ 60 years old) learning my favorite band Led Zeppelin. I am discovering that in order to play like John Bonham I must learn Jazz. Excellent instruction! Learned so much in just 1 video! Thank you

Hey Tom! Thanks so much for the kind words. Hope I can keep providing helpful content to get you sounding closer to John Bonham every day!

As a full on beginner (Who occasionally practices Jazz and other musical styles on Real Drum) I can say that stuff like this will help me learn a lot more. May take me a few tries to learn Fill 3 as I've tried air drumming to Fill 3 a few times already and I'm nearly stuck. Still nice to learn more about playing Jazz on drums and even hear you play a couple beats along the way haha. Glad I found you.

Hey Zac love your playing, love your channel. Would it be possible to see a recording of your performance? I'd love to see a drum cover, or playalong, or maybe a performance with a bass and piano player.

Hey Jean-Pol Jacques! I am using a Gretsch Brooklyn kit, with Istanbul cymbals (traditional jazz, anniversary series). Hope this helps!

Very nice Zach. Just a helpful tip. When you explain things in person to someone you have to talk slow and repeat your self multiple times so that the person can let it sink in. You don't want to do that in videos. In your video's you're explaining everything twice. We all know how to replay it if we have to. It's great stuff, but the pace is really slow. I think you can pick it up a bit. We'll let you know if you're going to fast. Keep up the great work.

Hey Larry, thanks for the tip! I’ll keep that in mind for future videos. Thanks again!

i have to say that i like that approach a lot, since it actually feels like an in person teaching situation, which i personally like alot. cheers

It depends on your experience. Very beginners benefit from slow repetition. If you need a faster pace speed up the video. Great job Zach
