I'm a new drummer (@ 60 years old) learning my favorite band Led Zeppelin. I am discovering that in order to play like John Bonham I must learn Jazz. Excellent instruction! Learned so much in just 1 video! Thank you
Hey Zac love your playing, love your channel. Would it be possible to see a recording of your performance? I'd love to see a drum cover, or playalong, or maybe a performance with a bass and piano player.
Love your channel!! Thank you for making these amazing quality videos for us drummers. Practicing again basic concepts is a great thing. Are you planning on making intermediate and advanced level videos? Greetings from Seville! Keep it up :)
Very nice Zach. Just a helpful tip. When you explain things in person to someone you have to talk slow and repeat your self multiple times so that the person can let it sink in. You don't want to do that in videos. In your video's you're explaining everything twice. We all know how to replay it if we have to. It's great stuff, but the pace is really slow. I think you can pick it up a bit. We'll let you know if you're going to fast. Keep up the great work.

Hey Alex! In this video, I was using an old Rogers R380 (I think) and some Aquarian head I don't know the name of...

Hey Larry, thanks for the tip! I’ll keep that in mind for future videos. Thanks again!
i have to say that i like that approach a lot, since it actually feels like an in person teaching situation, which i personally like alot. cheers
@@nilsjunior7851 I agree, this style works well for me, thank you for the great lessons Zach!
It depends on your experience. Very beginners benefit from slow repetition. If you need a faster pace speed up the video. Great job Zach
What ride cymbal did you use?
Thanks for watching! I used a 22” Istanbul Agop Traditional Jazz Ride in this video.
Thank you so much!
