    I would say Mexico, USA, and Canada just to show the world why the World Cup is here and why we should be to an extent be taken more seriously.

      Yeah even Qatar won the Asian cup in 2019 (and then 2024) beating Japan in the finals. If Qatar can do it in Asia then Mexico, US and Canada can definitely do it.

    Id say colombia due to the fact that this last generation hasnt reached a final something paraguay and peru have done with probably less talented teams, also given the amount of quality players they've been producing since 1987 they should more than 1 title, so a 2nd title for them is long overdue. 2nd would be ecuador who havent made a copa semi this century so they need to have good performance to demonstrate that they can compete in official tournaments.

    Teams that need this the most:
    1. Ecuador- the worst Copa America team in history, this is their golden generation, they got placed in a group with Mexico (the worst team from Pot 1).
    *HUGE GAP*
    2. United States- as the hosts you're obligated to have a good showing, a good tourney would create the much needed futbol hype in American society ahead of the 2026 world cup, if they flop they make all of CONCACAF look bad to the rest of CONMEBOL (the world even) considering they are the best CONCACAF team.
    3. Uruguay- unacceptable for a team who is a Top-3 favorite to win this tournament every time to go 13 years without a single knockout win.

    I actually think number one is Brazil, need to realign the region.
    Been being dominated by Argentina recently, and people are starting to doubt them and their players.
    2 I’d say is Ecuador, lots of hype, easier side of the bracket, questions about the manager, they needs to do something.
    3 I agree with Jack on Uruguay
    Great video idea since any team could realistically get in this list depending on how you see the question.

    #1: Jamaica 🇯🇲: We need to continue the momentum from the Nations League. My ReggaeBoyz need to advance out of the group stage and at least make the semifinals.
    #2: Brazil 🇧🇷: I've been concerned about the form of Brazil recently. They looked better in the win over England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, but the midfield and fullbacks looked shaky vs. Spain 🇪🇸. Seleção Canarinha 🇧🇷 need to make the semis (maybe even the final) for this to be considered a successful Copa.
    #3: Uruguay 🇺🇾: This feels like a potential breakout spot for Uruguay. Darwin Nunez, Valverde, Bentacur, De la Cruz, Olivera, and Caceres can go toe to toe with Argentina 🇦🇷. They have too much pedigree not to at least make the finals.

    Colombia! We’re tired of our mediocre mentality. We’ve had good teams and only one random one pulled it off back in 2001.
    We need to win this to demonstrate we’re competitive against Brazil and Argentina. This time our team is also fit.
    Colombia, we have had a softer underbelly than Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. Is time for us to rise above the challenge 🇨🇴

    I'd say the USA needs one because these are the only real competitive games it will have leading up to 2026 where they will face better opposition. It's becoming clear that success in the Nations League doesn't necessarily translate to larger stages and, given that they need a good showing in 2026, they need to prepare by having a good showing this year in the Copa America. There is also a difference between this Copa and the Centenario, as the USA will be under far more scrutiny given the upcoming World Cup and the level of the current squad compared to the 2016 squad.
    A mediocre Copa could be offset by a successful Olympics, however, as a strong showing in Paris could draw more casual American viewers to the national team ahead of the World Cup compared to a strong showing at the Copa America.

  • @thelokelo
    @thelokelo 6 месяцев назад

    I conceded Venezuela for Argentina and my whole arguemwnt for Chile was that they needed this to bounce back. Those copas were 8 years ago. Chile is out of wc qualification where they shouldn’t be and Gareca seems to be doing gods work making them relevant again but it isn’t concrete improvement unless they do well in the tournament.

  • @guipizza

    "oh captain my captain" is dead poets society. the "rugby movie with nelson Mandela" is 'Invictus'
    Most needs the cup:
    1. Uruguay, we havent won it in a long time and Beilsa needs some actual cups to lean on.
    2. Ecuador: this gen of players needs to win something to justify the hype & this FA needs to finally win something.
    3. Colombia, same Ecuador but they've actually won it in their history so need it slightly less.
    most needs a strong tournament:
    1. Brasil, they need to turn things around most.
    2. Mexico, same reason but this isnt their confederation and they lack the actual players.
    3. Venezuela, they need to build on good form instead of regressing as they have in recent history.

    For us chileans, winning a Copa América is an optimus parameter to a World Cup's road and to the tournement itself.
    We haven't seen the US team progress yet and we hear lots of rubbish on the mexican national team... But still don't know, so... We don't believe in easy nor weak rivals in this kind of tournements.

    Brazil is weak at the Number 8. Paquetá and Casemiro are obvious total ballers though. Casemiro is the best DM in the world for me. Amazing passer and free kick taker as well.

    • @cxrlxshnrq
      @cxrlxshnrq 6 месяцев назад

      We weak at number 10 not 8
      For 8 we got Bruno Guimarães, Douglas Luiz and others
      Paquetá is our only 10 and sometimes we have to use Rodrygo as a 10 or false 9, Andreas Pereira sometimes also play as our 10. Neymar would be that guy for us but he'll be back only in August/September
      And Casemiro is a 6, a position we also full of good players
      We just need fullbacks and a 10 basically, the rest I think is good

    Connor's Chile pick is bizarre. Chile is playing with house money for this Copa America. They don't need to do well because everyone understands they're a golden generation almost completely done. Chile not doing well wouldn't be anywhere close to a calamity. URUGUAY needs this far more. They have too much talent to not drub the Hell of out Group C and Bielsa has to prove the doubters wrong with a trophy.

    • @tomasmaniago5832
      @tomasmaniago5832 5 месяцев назад

      Adding to that, qualifying to the next World Cup is WAY more important for Chile than winning another Copa América. They already have 2 of those in the last 10 years, but haven't set foot in a World Cup since 2014. That is the biggest failure of this golden generation, and Gareca has a chance to redeem it.

    Definitivamente Uruguay es el mas necesitado, Vienen de una copa del mundo horrible y ahora con Bielsa sienten que es el momento de vengar ese desempeño y recuperar la gloria. Uruguay Necesita ganar esta copa y tiene argumentos para sentirlo. Argentina en segundo lugar para conservar el prestigio de ser la ganadora de todo de los últimos tres años, Scaloni entiende que el plantel sufre del Síndrome del "hemos ganado todo" y ahora que confirmo su continuidad va a meter mano cambiando jugadores que no logran recuperarse de dicho síndrome. Argentina en la medida que logre recuperar hambre de gloria con jugadores nuevos es candidato. En tercer lugar y gracias al juego que vienen haciendo Tanto Colombia como Ecuador se sienten obligados a refrendar ese desempeño con un titulo . su performance hasta el momento los obliga a tener el mejor resultado. Por ultimo hay que mencionar que si es por necesidad, México esta a la cabeza de las selecciones de hacer un buen papel por que hasta ahora no convence a nadie y personalmente veo difícil que clasifique

    Chile is a godawful take, why should they even be considerd as one of the top choices to "who needs to do well" in this copa america. Chile had a golden generation that beat prime Messi's argentina twice in the finals, also outperformed an actual solid brazil side in both tournaments and they've won not so long ago just two copa americas away. They got everything they could from that squad for the copa americas tourney. Gareka (idk how to spell his name) is also not one of the worlds best international coaches so why also does he need to prove something wtf. He's a good coach not a great one. This white guys takes are wtf, I just heard him say Venezuela is his second choice lmao I'm done 😂.
