Your channel is criminally undersubscribed! You are an incredible visionary and craftsman, and I look forward to your content more than any other of my sub'd channels. I'd love to see you take on some large-scale Battlestar Galactica models (once we get to see your B-Wing reveal, of course)!
Liquid electrical tape. Didn’t even know it existed... awesome build Sir!
Thank You, Christopher! This series has been fun to watch and I'm really looking forward to more. I've built several iterations of the Jupiter 2 in CGI over the years for my videos. And I've built the Polar Lights version, but my Moebius is still on the shelf right now. You've given me some great, practical, ideas for my eventual build. :)
wow, cant wait to see it all together
Hi Chris. What a fantastic job you are doing!! Your client will have a museum piece for sure. Enjoy the day. Ray L
Wow...just wow.
Thanks for these videos. This is what I am wanting to do to my Jupiter 2 model. These are great and very informative. Thanks again.
All this custom work, all these ideas are once again clever and give stunning final results. I was thinking about the people who will see this kit, and probably admire it when on display in your customer's house. And they will see an amazing model kit, will feel that it was made with high level mastered techniques, but will never be able to imagine all the work, tricks, custom made parts, modifications that you did, and then in my opinion won't be appreciating it as much as we do, because thanks to your videos, we'll see and enjoy the final result, but also know all that is behind it, behind the scene. My only two regrets will be to never see it in person (models, whether they are plastic or wooden kits, Lego sets or so on, are always much more beautiful in person, and no pics neither video can render their real beauty). Then for the second regret, to see that the last video of this build has eventually come :) but it's a bit too soon to talk about the end ! So I will go on enjoying your job and next work in progress video. Enjoy the day, enjoy the hour, enjoy the moment. Thank you Christopher.
Absolutely amazing!
Outstanding model building Chris 😁👌
Really good, what a great job your doing,it looks fantastic so far.
Just jupiter no startrek enterprise cause nothing as detail as the jupiter lots of neat fun
Woow you are a Professional. Regards
Notice that there is a miniture jupiter two inside the astrogater
Yep.
Where does one get a Robot that's in scale for this kit?
My best guess would be a 3d print. Possibly on Shapeways or a site like that. Sorry, I really don't know.
@@modelsbychris Thanks! I'll go look and
see.
Hello from Lubbock, Texas. I have the 1-35 scale Jupiter 2. What do you charge to build it up. I like the work you did for your client, and I’d like the same.
I'm not going to be building any more of those for quite some time, if at all again. I've had literally dozens of people asking, and if I were to do all that have asked, all I would be doing is building J2's for the rest of my life, literally. It's just a build, at this point anyway, I'm just not interested in building again because I have so many others I want to do. But I can tell you, I would not build another one as this one was built, for less than about $4500-5000. It took 6 months, while on employment and working on it daily. Now, under normal circumstances, where I can only build in my spare time, it would take a year easy.
Hello Chris, Do you find it necessary to remove the paint from the mating surfaces?
I typically don't, and haven't had any issues. I do though often mask off areas that mate when I paint. I did that with the J2 walls and the tabs.
Where did you purchase the LED strip?
It's the ultra mini strip from adafruit.com. It is a neopixel strip, so I believe it requires an Adafruit board to work
@@modelsbychris Would a UNO work?
Where is the LOWER level??
There is physically no room for a lower level, just like the show. Could never have one.
@@modelsbychris I figured that, I do like the scale better with the Moebius however the Polar Lights version does include lower deck...its just very small
Absolutely amazing!!!
