Our Travel Agent takes care of Us and this Package , How -YF is the package that has been added to our Booking and have yet to use it ....We just DIS-CONNECT ..... Dam They would charge Me more to open My Bottle of Wine , That's more than I would PAY for WINE ,,,,,,,,And , Cruise ON !!! PS... Holland American...
What do you mean by REFILLABLE water contains on the water package? If refillable, why would you need multiple containers, as the various size of packages offer?
Thank you for the video. It was very informative. We booked the Haven on Escape with the UNLIMITED OPEN BAR PACKAGE for $109. I thought that we would be getting a better deal since we paid for the Haven suite. I just want to get a few glasses of Beringer wine or some Prosecco. Do I have to upgrade to the $138 package to get these? Thanks in advance!! 🍷
We cruise NCL all the time, but free at sea is no bargain. We pay a lot for free at sea drinks, nothing free. Free is free. Just getting nickel and dime. Oh well they got you know matter.
I'm going on my first cruise on the Norwegian Sun in February 2025. I saw all of the drinks packages were a huge ripoff and I won't be buying any of them. I mostly drink tea and coffee, I don't drink soft drinks and only occasionally drink fruit juice since I have high blood sugar and avoid sugar as much as possible. I rarely drink alcohol and 2 drinks would be my limit.
No - you pay it up front and it is not refundable if you don’t drink enough. If you don’t think you will consume $109.00 worth of beverages per day during the week, then you can pay a la carte for your beverages - but you will be charged the 20% gratuity at the time of purchase (so don’t accidentally tip twice - unless you really love the service!)
How do people afford to cruse. It’s $100+ per day per person, plus cost of excisions, plus gratuity, plus port fees, plus air gate, plus the cost of the room. Seriously it seems very expensive!!
Shop around. There are deals to be had. Royal Caribbean and Carnival are more affordable, especially when you bring your own soda and wine on board. There is no corkage fee if you consume wine in your room. Find a travel agent that will work with you. If you live near a port, find a cruise out of that port. It can be a very enjoyable experience if you plan accordingly.
It is unlimited if you buy the package - which in 2024 is $16.50 per person per day as an add-on if you already purchased the Free-at-Sea beverage package. If you upgrade to the Ultimate beverage package (about $35 per person per day), then you get Starbucks included - plus bottled water and energy drinks, unlimited premium cocktails, beer, and wine.
You can call the line and speak with an NCL agent. My mom got hers reimbursed, even though my dad is keeping his drink package, because she medically cannot drink.
I’ve heard that if you contact the cruise line you can request that the person who doesn’t drink can get a soda package. I haven’t tried it but it would be interesting to try.
@@josievojnic I believe the reason they require everyone in the same cabin over the age of 21 to purchase the drink packages is because you can get 2 drinks per transaction and you’re allowed to take drinks back to your room. They’re trying to prevent people from sharing their package.
Thanks for talking about the Hawaii Beverage Package. That's the one that came included with my cruise.
Very helpful video with lots of detail. Thank you for a great video! My favorite cruise channel! 😊🚢
Thank you
You welcome ❤️

A bargain is not always a bargain.

No you can always purchase drinks not covered by the glass
While in the departure port and before the NCL ship departs, are alcoholic drinks free if you have the Drink Package?

Is plain seltzer water included in the soda package? It mentions tonic and soda water. Thanks for the information.😀
Not sure on that one
Question. If i have the Free at Sea, can i add the starbucks package for 12 dollars a day?
@@Chiefs555 yes - go to their website and you can add it - but in 2024 it is now $16.50 per person per day. Good luck!
I wanted to know is the soda package actually from the fountain or can. Thanks if anyone can answer
Some are on tap behind the bars or in a can
@@HighSeasCruising Thank you. Does NCL use RF ID insolated mugs like the other lines or is it served in glasses like all other drinks? Thanks
Does NCL offer sales on the beverage plans? , for those who only want the pop, coffee and water in your room plans? Thank you.
Not that I know of but with NCL you can get included drink package when booking
Do i wear a wrist band for the package. How do yhey know i have the drink package?
It will show on your account when they scan your card
A lot different than the other major lines. Other lines seem better to me.

I see the drinks package cost $109 per day plus 20% Grat. If you only drink say $55 worth of drink does that make the effective tip 40%?

Do they limit you how many starbucks drinks you can get at one time with package.
normally they make you wait 5 min between drinks
Are milkshakes included in the packages
Depends on the package but some will
So the Starbucks is $12 a day not unlimited? I should get a refund I was thinking 5 cups a day

What if the person that I’m traveling with does not drink ?
You can call the line and speak with an NCL agent. My mom got hers reimbursed, even though my dad is keeping his drink package, because she medically cannot drink.
The PoA doesn't travel to Cali... that ship lives in Hawaii
And we don't drink must at all by far.
What if the person that I’m traveling with does not drink ?
If in the same cabin and you get a drink package you both have to have one
