    I thought about using a floor jack to hold the sink up in place. Clamp and 2x4 looks good! Thanks!!!

    Great video. What was the depth of the drill into the countertop? Some tops like sintered stone come in 12mm thickness.

    I'd like to use a larger sink. Can the sink be supported by the plywood countertop eliminating the mounting brackets?

    Hi, I am checking to see if the Zline sink you used for this video will fit in my cabinet with enough space for the faucet. Could I ask you some technical questions about the dimensions and position of the sink assembly and installation?

      @@ApplianceEducator honestly I was just curious, since I didn't see any specialty tools. Nah, I'm not comfortable drilling the stone i.e. I don't think it's a good idea. I looked at a few videos and I don't like any installation methods I've seen. Instead I'm going to build a wooden support bracket and then put bolts in it from below, with a nut between the bracket and the sink surface, pushing the sink up towards the stone countertop. This way I won't have to rely on the silicone alone, and I also won't have to drill the countertop. I feel like drilling the countertop is both risky and also doesn't make for a structurally strong connection

    I need to change my under mount dual basin sink to a large single basin sink. The countertop is granite and the surface is in perfect condition. Do you think it is better to switch to top mount to make installation and future replacements easier?

    • @ApplianceEducator
      @ApplianceEducator  2 года назад

      Hey there, Nick from the team is in the same position with replacing his sink. It is definitely a bigger project. Are you planning on doing it your self or have a pro cut the counter top?

    Question- looking to do an undermount sink. Getting new cabinets installed. In your opinion, is this something that can be done once the cabinets are installed or should i wait to have granite in place and then install? Big difference?

    • @ApplianceEducator
      @ApplianceEducator  Год назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment. After speaking with our product specialist, it would be better to install the sink and adjust cabinets instead of the granite counter top. We would recommend installing the sink last after counter top has been placed and secured. It's still recommended to buy the sink first then cut the sink cut out in the granite to the actual sink size, not just the generic cutout as sinks can be a tad different which makes the cutout work or not. Please let us know if you have any other questions! We hoped this helped!

      This method is safe. Just be sure to use any included brackets and correct drill bits to make sure the process is done correctly.

      Thank you for your feedback, Booble B. All of our future videos won't have music backtracks. To be honest, it started out to hide the poor mic quality and ended up being even more distracting but we've upgraded equipment since and are excited to move forward with less distractions and more focus on appliance education!

    No stainless steel rod for the front edge of sink? You will end up with cracks in a few years. Also, how many pounds of weight do you think that sink will be good for with the 12 anchor points? I would have thought there would be better, more secure anchoring methods by 2020? I guess not. As an education video, please try not to use a black background, when you are working with a black sink. Just makes it distracting and less visible on what is going on. Many people using many different devices to watch videos, so this is just a tip to consider your variables and being more aware in the video before making it. Cheers!!

      From what I have seen is that other companies don't use as many connection points that we use so for every addition connection point there is more strength and more weight bearing capability than other companies. Also with 12 connection points there should not be a need for a strengthening rod. Thanks for the feed back on the set. We have moved away from the black background to have a brick backdrop.

    • @philindeblanc
      @philindeblanc 2 года назад

      @@ApplianceEducator The number of connection points wont matter as they are all around the sink, not in anyway supporting the counter at the thinnest points. The 2 cracks most countertops will get are the sink corners at the edge of the counter. This needs a re-enforcing SS rod along the stone to keep it from cracking, particularly 2cm stones. As for anchors, I have seen the lead models used, for one reason, preferred over plastic models, as the metal threading inside can separate from the plastic, and there is little to no epoxy to hold that contact point in. With the lead, it expands and it is the only material and secured by epoxy full contact.
      As far as your set design, try something other than a blood sucking cult like a FreeMason nodding brick.
