I LOVED it while I was watching but somehow it has sort of slipped away from my memory now. (Loss of memory, I use that trope for myself! 😂) I agree with your thoughts on the series. I didn’t like the lying and felt it was just not necessary to further along in the story plot. “Drama didn’t make sense” We are on the same page. I just ask it to make sense. Overall, I enjoy your review and as always enjoy watching your videos!
Bon jour, ma cherie, would you please add Love Class 2 to your every growing list of series to watch. And, if I may say, I think it prioritizes the emphasis on romance that you really seem to look for in your romance stories. I don't recall whether you reviewed Love Class (2022) previously, but this is a sequel in title only. The story do not continue. New characters enroll in the same class. Pretty sure you'll like it.
Oh really, it's not a continuation? And heere I was waiting for S2 to air so I could watch the whole thing ! Oh well x) But yeah don't worry, it's already in my list :D
In my own personal world of ratings, any series 8.5 or higher is an excellent series, although I am quite stingy with 9.5 and 10 (the truly elite). 7.5 and 8.0 include very good shows, but probably had some flaw I could not overlook. 7.0 encompasses the merely good, not great. Below 7 is where "bad" starts for me. Though 6.5 might be better characterized as "missed the mark," "went off the rails," or "botched execution" rather than truly bad. I rarely score anything below a 5.
That's actually how I try to see things. But that's precisely what's wrong. I try only x) Because in reality I can't help but view anything under 8 as not very good.. And it's a problem because a lot of dramas fall in the 7 category :/ And also the fact that when I rate 7 or 7.5 myself I don't view the drama as not veyr good but good ! But when it's to pick a drama to watch it's more complicated..
I rated it 8.0. Since I rarely grade any short series over an 8.5, that's a very high score. I like the concept of "starting again," but didn't necessarily like the way they did it. But it was an enjoyable six hours. I agree that the decision on what to say to the guy without memory did not always sit well. The Japanese often present series with a "high concept" premise. Memory loss may be a cliché, but I felt like what happened after was reasonably innovative.

Yeah I agree on that. It felt a bit new to say it differently x)
