I commented the same thing on a short for this series. It's either he's faking amnesia or he regains his memory at some point and keeps pretending. It's the storyline for a manwha I'm reading at the moment. The wife fell down a flight of stairs (unintentionally) moments after her husband issued her divorce papers. When she regains consciousness in the hospital her husband is nice to her and so she pretends to have forgotten him in the hopes of reconciliation. Their case is a little different in that it's pretty much an arranged marriage and in the three years of the marriage the guy's been abroad for most of it
