Truly amazing video. Im 25 and having a rough time with these thoughts . I've had a great career so far as a cook . Worked my way up quite fast, now i plan to do a 4yr degree for computer science. This is probably the hardest decision I've ever made in my life. It's really nice to know I am not alone.
Not only are you not alone, I am a Spanish teacher, very good at what I do, and am pursuing a degree in computer science, as well! haha. Good on you for chasing what you want, man
I'm 49 working as real state administrator for the last 15 years..and now really thinking estudy to be a nutritionist a 3 years carrer..I'll keep my actual job and study saturdays
Same. I've done my graduation in journalism but want to try data science. I'm confused on how to go about a bachelor's and masters in data science. Wish me luck :)
At 38 now, I wonder I didn't see your video when I was struggling but now I'm here listening it AFTER I did a big change in myself, thank you! This is exactly the same reason I had to break my comfort-zone of 15 years to take step into evolving myself into next version (still going through). Although, I'm successful enough as freelancer but I have so much inside to share with the world and help them for solutions which is beyond my self-career.
This is the best of the best career shift video I have come across. Trust me I have watched many. This one is the best till now. I loved her spirit . Amazing lady
I like the way you think ma'am. My dad's advice is to work and get vested and wait many years unhappy in a JOB I hate and retire! I keep telling him. No!!!!!. Everytime he speaks on things like this he make me think about rich dad poor dad.
Good & practical advise she gave as compared to those who tells "follow your passion". Half of the population don't know what their passion is. You will feel the same boredom kicking in after few months. So follow your guts. Don't be afraid to change careers if you feeling strongly about it.
Good luck to you, Fredd! I left a miserable job after 7 years and I just wish I had done it sooner! I'm going to be getting a master's degree now and also becoming a musician too...all in my 40s :-)
Ive been in childcare for 15 years bc i had to. My girls are older and ive been debating changing jobs. This video has given me the push! I loved it!!! Thank you! Imma put in my application tomorrow for university to study sociology!
I’m 34 and have been thinking about a career change where I’m no longer in the corporate world. This has truly gave me that additional confidence to just do it and pursue another degree where my passion is. Helping others see the beauty that we have been given in life. Thank you for this moving speech!
It feels amazing finding someone that also thinks the same. I am in the process of a career change it is difficult, however now I feel more motivated. I really liked the video!
hello Aditi....this is vivek from india....i truly appreciate people like you who are willing to give their time and talents to enrich the lives of our young people.
I've been working as a writing tutoring and customer service/admin jobs since I was 25. I am not almost 32 and my husband has convinced me to try for the computer field as a tester as I wanted to change careers but wasn't sure what path to take. I have been learning slowly, but this lady really helps you decide to take the plunge.
Now I m feeling I m not alone to feel lyk this..Relieved n got confidence that yes this career is not for life..I can make career shifts.thank you so much mam for inspiring..
Ty for your video I’m changing my career at 57 yrs after being laid off in 2.2023 Having some hard time deciding what I can do for work. I still have a lot to give. I also like the new outdoor activities I have done in last 12 mos
I'm an electronic engineer, then I study a master degree in Marketing at 32 years old, today I've my own food business at 37 years old but now I'd like to work in the tourism industry, maybe adventure tourism. I love to travel, the adventure and meeting people from other cultures. People in Mexico don't understand why I change carrers, the think I'm crazy but I don't want to waste my life in a job I hate.

Hi am so glad I came across this video! Thank you Aditi for this. I usually feel like an alien for not being able to settle, and for wanting to change career every 2/3 years. I am now thinking of changing again. I am bored. Thank you so much for making me feel a bit more normal and giving me the strength to fight the current :) Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your story Aditi. It was wonderful and inspirational, thank you so so much. I think the fear is hardest part to come to terms with. Fear of what will happen if i lose this steady income. But like you said if you never take a risk you will never know.

You're living under the paradigm that money comes from a job. Most people that build wealth don't have jobs, they invest in some form of property. Not just physical property like Real Estate, but intellectual properties like writing a book, or perhaps starting a simple business being the only supplier for a very niche product (this can often be done out of a garage). Replacing income can be much easier than people think. From there if you spend your time setting up systems that others can run, then you can hire employees to run the system while you pursue your next endeavor.
in short, don't try to become a doctor because you think doctors get paid well (comparatively, they don't). The only reason you should pursue being a doctor is if it is for the fulfillment of your soul. To that end you first need to change your inner conversation from "I can't afford that", to "how can I afford that".
