      Glad this helped Cindy, add this idea of squeezing the armpit to any of the 'Startle Reflex' movements and/or any of the movements that involve the shoulders. It should help. Try also the Shoulder Circles movement on your left side, it will release the entire shoulder girdle and chest. Thanks for watching!

    Hi, just found you. I’ve a raised left rib when lying, tight pec, inner scapula feels super tight, keeps spasming. It’s worsened a life long winged scapula. I’ve got subscapularis impingement & bursitis. Will this help? All this happened in my left quadrant after I tore my right labral in my hip. Love your speed & tone, very calming!

      Thanks Cecilia, I can’t really say for sure whether it will help you without seeing you. But as long as you take your time and go slow you should see some improvement in comfort as the muscles relax. Try my ‘Pulling Rope’ video too, it should help reduce a winged scapula somewhat. And check out my ‘Daily Routine’ video. That covers all the basic movements. Thanks for watching.

    Hi Colm, I find that I always yawn when doing this movement 😀

      Not unusual, we will tend to yawn as we relax, enjoy it!

      Hi, Colm I did the shoulder circles and this movement then did cactus arms, normally I pull in my shoulders when doing it and it's not the most comfortable, now that I did those movements before I really enjoyed the cactus arms. Is it a good thing to loosen the shoulders with those movements first then do arch and curl and cactus arms etc.

    • @LearnSomatics
      @LearnSomatics  2 года назад +2

      @@redpilled9595 Yes! Exactly that. What you've discovered is how tightness in the chest (and shoulders) can make it difficult to get the arms overhead and behind, and also make rotation of the arms difficult. That's a good a-ha moment! Nice work
