@@LesDoesitAll-l8bbelieve it or not, the live at Madison Square Gardens (1973), is even better then the studio version. Out of all the amazing songs they have, the live of this, is one of my two favorite lives.
One of the best songs from one of the greatest groups ever. That guitar solo just rips your heart out, and Jimmy Page did it in one take. This is a great song to hook you. Now start at Led Zeppelin I and listen to their whole catalogue start to finish. Huge spread of genres but not a bad song.
Amazing discography. They do blues, rock, jazz, folk rock, etc. sometimes, all in the same song. If you want to increase your number of followers, do more Zeppelin.
Greetings from Canada. Blues Rock at its finest. It was the Blues that bonded them together. Zep are also masters of Prog Rock, Funk Rock, Hard Rock, Folk Rock, Psychedelic Rock... and even more. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Yes you’ve been asleep, but so many other reactors were too, you won’t be disappointed diving into this rabbit hole. When we say they are the greatest band, we are telling you the absolute truth, it’s harder to pick your favorite song they do. Every song you hear will be your favorite, until the next one, I have like 3 that are lower on my list. Robert Plant lead singer & harmonic * Jimmy Page lead guitar band founder producer mixer * John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin etc. & John Bonham (Bonzo) greatest drummer ever. Their first day of rehearsal was on August 19,1968 together until September 25,1980, when sadly their friend & drummer passed away. They are each the GOAT of their crafts, & together The GODS Of MUSIC! Rock Blues Funk Folk Reggae Prog Mystical. These guys love the Blues & do it to perfection. I will subscribe after you do 3 songs by them, & hopefully you’ll do many many more. The majority of us have loved them for 50 years or more. Thank you for your reaction.
@@LesDoesitAll-l8bif you do any lives, you may have to print copyrighted across it, if you do that we can see the video too which seeing it 100’s X we still love to watch. You picked a great one to start with. If you just want blues from them, let me know & I’ll point you to them, but their rock & acoustic songs etc. are great too. Jimmy Page is the GOD of riffs, & amazing solos. I came back for another watch.
Jimmy did this solo 1st time in 1 take using an amp he'd never even seen before. He just plugged in and ripped THIS out. The engineer who recorded it to this day rates it as the best solo he ever heard
Now you should watch this live at Madison Square Garden, as well as Stairway to Heaven from the same concert. You will definitely become a fan of the greatest band ever!
Just a visitor. Might sub if you do more Zep. As many others have said , Zeppelin is one of the handful of bands that are on the Mt Rushmore of classic Rock. They owned the early 70’s …and had an air of dark mystery about them that made them seem larger than life and captured people’s imagination. SO much swag and charisma on stage….they were a colossus of a band that all other rock groups were measured by. They were the model for hard rock bands that came after.
Perfect title! This song, quite literally, did change my life. At the tender age of 10, I had never heard a guitar bleed before. Never heard it weep tears of pure blues. This song set me down a life-long obsession with Blues fusion, and I still hold this as the greatest Blues Rock song ever recorded. The studio and live versions are completely, shockingly different... a tribute to how much they loved to improvise and evolve their songs on stage... but both versions are equally magnificent!
I’m getting on now lol 72 , but I feel so privileged to have seen led Zep in concert in the 70’s wouldn’t have missed it for the world , listen to the live , no bad tracks , brilliant band 👍🏻
Immediately watch the 1973 Madison Square Garden Live version of this song. You will see for your first time what the greatest rock n roll band of all-time looks like and see where the term Rock Gods came from.
When I was a kid I thought Led Zeppelin and Def Leppard were the same band. Then I actually heard Led Zep when I was 13. I still think they're really weird. And amazing. Also - I'm not much of a blues guy but i do adore blues in 3/4 time, and I've realised there's another one Zep did, "Tea For One"
Greatest band of all time MORE LED •"Stairway To Heaven" •"Dazed And Confused" •"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" •"I Cant Quit You Baby" •"Whole Lotta Love" •"All My Love"
You like guitar riffs? Jimmy Page is your man! He's 80 now and STILL the COOLEST MAN ON THE PLANET. He produced ALL their music and has been remastering their stuff lately. They have a lot and most all are FIRE! I'm 77 and STILL can't decide my favourite Zeppelin song
Led Zeppelin will surprise you with every song. They are my favourite band. I reckon there is probably only 3 Zeppelin songs that i don't bother with. Everything else is fire! Zeppelin fans will try their hardest not to single one song out as their favourite...an impossible task, although if a gun is held to my head, i'm nominating this song.
@LesDoesitAll-l8b Yes more Led and plese do the studio versions first if you're gonna do their Live stuff. Its also amazing but check out the studio stuff first.
Introduce Yourself to them by watching ing “How Many More Times” live on Danish radio. They were young and light years ahead of anyone at that time. The proof is the standing to test of time 🍃
Seems you've stumbled onto one of the best rock bands of all time. Not just that, but one of their best songs, though to be honest, there's a LOT of them. If you want to see more from them, check out a song called "Kashmir". The Drummer, John Bonham passed away shortly after it was recorded (Which saw the end of Led Zeppelin), but studio and live recordings exist, but a great performance is actually the Celebration Day tour, where John Bonham's son sat in on drums for his RIP Dad, and they all killed it! It's not just epic, it's Iconic! If it's a killer guitarist you want, there are several going for the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) title. In the more progressive area (Open for debate, as are all), you have Steve Vai. Check out "For The Love Of God" with the Holland Orchestra. Excellent! You couldn't have a list like this without Eddie Van Halen! Check out his solo in New Haven 1986. For the Blues, there's options, but for me, Stevie Ray Vaughn is the man, not to dis many other greats. If you don't watch Stevie play Texas Flood at El Mocambo followed by VooDoo Child at Austin City Limits then your guitar players education is simply incomplete. All of these players have many great songs, but this list should wet the whistle quite nicely to begin with.
You'll never regret "gettin' the Led out." 😊 There are really too many amazing tracks to list, but a couple I like are "Immigrant Song" and "When the Levee Breaks." Just explore and enjoy!
