- First time out camping SOLO at 70 years old. So its a ride camp and cook series. All natural and no talking. nice little creek for a pull over and coffee break with beautiful trickling water -very calming and music to ones ears.
Here is the link to Part 2. - • 70 Years Old - Very Fi...
nature at its best in the Australian bush. birdlife galore.
rough bush track riding with the only sound effects being the exhaust note and the odd rock touching the 350cc single.
join me on part one of this great ride out with really nice calming effects from just good old nature at its best. Авто/Мото
Thanks for your great videos Warro, your RE knowledge is so informative and helpful and now I'm into your camp & cook videos. Great work mate and we're in the same age group 👍👍😊😊
sounds good to me. im in the process of shortening that clip as the view till was just 6 minutes so my bet is 80% never even seen it past that time in.
took 25 hours to do so i will reduce its length and view time.
good to hear you checked it out too.
all the best!
Good on ya Warro, you're definitely a character! I was feeling a bit blue and this definitely cheered me up. Thanks mate!
well i only got one real laugh when doing it as its constant work. when i lost balance on that rock and fell over it flashed back to weeks earlier and down on the ground on that suzuki vstrom 250 sx...lol
all the best plus good to hear it brightened up your day too!
Great video Warro. Thank you for taking the time and trouble for shooting and sharing this with us, very much appreciated 👍
thanks...all good there and happy to hear you enjoyed the view experience too.
all the best!
Thanks for the great impressions. I'm jealous of the freedom and nature in Australia. Keep it up. Kind regards from 🇩🇪
Thanks for watching! might be different in other parts of the country but in most cases i'm on the open road within 3 minutes from home and after that virtual carefree riding.
glad you enjoyed it too. more to come on this ride.
Another good video Warro, love the sound of the creek and the birds in the trees. I carry my leatherman charge with me at all times, very handy and well made bit of kit.
thanks -i was going to silence the creek and add music but wife said leave it.....lol leatherman is pretty good. i bought another knife in part 2 of the clip which has fitted a large pair of sharp sissors.
i actually use it to make a tim can stove....lol
Nice place, sound is great, better than music. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for visiting. in the process now of editing part 2. nice waterfall in that clipplus some bird life too
Good on you Warro, I’m 63 and getting a new knee in a couple of weeks so I’ll be sorted, age is no barrier, all the best from the UK 🇬🇧
thanks....all the best your way on the knee side too. i actually lost balance in this clip and found myself on the ground...lol happened as quick as i when i came off that suzuki vstrom 250 sx....lol had to do that take again
How did it go?
Thanks for helping prove that age is a state of mind... another 70 plus Aussie
great to hear you looked and the content too. all the best!
That was just the best look - and sounds - I've had of a typical Aussie bushland setting for quite some years Warro. It reminds me very much of Victoria's N/E alpine area. Your close-ups on flora selection are brilliant too. I've worked out of Australia for over 30 years now, but it all comes back; many thanks, from a 73yo country boy
thanks. it took quite a few hours to do and put together this clip. i think roughly 25 hours compared to the previous ride clip i did on the hunter 350 which i bowled over in 45 minutes. so overall its hard to say if its worth going in this direction but theres still part 2 of this one to come.
i find most only watch for a very short period of time so i'm curious if by putting more effort into the clip like this one -is worth it or just throw em up...lol
all the best and good to hear you enjoyed the ride
@@ridewithwarroare you on road tires off road?
Yep nice video, relaxing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi All -- Just advising I am now working on the edits for part 2. of the SOLO overnight camp and cook section!
great journey with the 350 doing its thing just love that sound
thanks...on the 350 reborn it has a great note and gets more series in part two. overall an interesting ride experience.
all the best!
So enjoyed the video and the sound was quality and made me feel i was there with you. And the countryside was beautiful 👍
great to hear you enjoyed part 1 of the first in series of ride/camp/cook. appreciate the response too
all the best!
Absolutely Brilliant! The Great Outdoors! What More Do You Want! “Fantastic”
Couldn't agree more!
Thanks for the effort of making this video. The sound of the creek is perfectly adequate.
thanks and good to hear. now working on the edits for part 2 of the solo camp/cook side of it.
good to hear you enjoyed it too
Fantastic video mate, loving the natural soundtrack of nature and the classic 350 of course 🙂🏍👍🇬🇧
Thanks 👍 apprecite the comment too. drone comes into play in part two
Amazing watching what the bike can do. And you have a knack for finding beautiful spots. Another great post thanks Warro
all totally stock too. thats the main attraction. no real tyre help in the rough stuff...just the stocks
Nice to see afilm with no talking or lecture on how to suck an egg!! Most of us who have reached our 60s, know how to survive a bit of wild camping! Nice bike to. Thanks.
all good ive linked part 2 to this clip in the description. i think its even better than this one
You living a good life there mate. 👍
thanks its a nice area to ride. just working now on the edit putting part 2 of that solo ride together.
all the best!
Really enjoyable watch Warro , your doing good for 70 keep pressing on as long as you can . Cheers Paul
Thanks 👍 was a pretty good event even if the view rate was pretty disappointing.
all the best!
Love your videos.
I'm quite sure its a ton of work to be a utuber and personally I can say it's not for me.
But, I appreciate your videos, always excellent content and I look forward to seeing another one.
The main thing to me is in my life I have to enjoy my time.
Hope you are.
Fair enough! yeah its a fair bit of work. i'd say 25 hours to do this not counting part 2. plus deal with flat batteries camera malfunctions forgetting to turn them on camera fallovers wrong setting bad audio no audio...not a picnic out there...lol
Getting out and living the life....keep on keep'n on!
interesting ride...thats for sure
I have to admire your spirit! I'm a couple of years younger and I don't think I'd be heading off to camp on my own. I did a trip on my hunter a couple of weeks ago with some mates, 450 miles in total but we older gents elected to go "glamping" instead of camping , it was a bunk house with facilities, the thought of waking up in the morning on the ground doesn't do it for me, I might not be able to stand up! 🤣🤣😂
but did you have a good time out with the boys. if so great to hear and the hunter 350 is a nice ride experience too.
all the best!
it was epic, and I rode it like I stole it! after 1800 miles it is a little cracker.
Enjoyed that...brings me so much memories of the good old days.your videos of nature with all the sounds that comes with it charge my batteries up.thanks for all the work you do to share with us..Ride on Amigo
Glad you enjoyed it. all the best!
Wonderful photos of plants and flowers. Great sounds of the 350 engine. Keep them coming!
Thanks, will do! good to hear you enjoyed the ride clip too.
Goals, sir. I'm just 56 but love riding and hope to fir many decades more. Good on you. 👊👍
thanks and always good to hear from a guy with a positive outlook. part 2 coming shortly.all the best!
nice work Warro .happy 70 th birthday . i was 74 in March this year and my wife 72 end of June . we ride scooters now ,hers a vespa 50 and i have a honda sh125 and a yamaha nmax 125 . keep up the good work i always look out for you on utube , best wishes from England .
thanks. i wil be doing a clip today on a new stove light-up plus i will be on my xmax 300. scooters i enjoyed the ride so all good there.
On with it man ! LOVE this video ! thanks for sharing and happy trails!
Glad you enjoyed it! i think there is 2 or 3 clips on this.all the best!
Really enjoyed this video Warro, thanks and keep them coming, take care as always. 😊😊😊😊🇬🇧👍🏻
Thanks, will do! had the hunter 350 out today on a trial run on dirt. ran really well so i think it will be good there too
Ahhhh, the type of riding I dream about!
a great area to ride. all the best!
Hello Warro from Yellowstone, I am a 73 year old retired chef who is about to start riding again. I have 3-500cc RE Bullets and enjoy all the Enfield channels as well as yours, I am always watching your videos and watched your other cooking video as well when you made the burger. I have paid close attention to your 350 reborn models but I don't think they have enough power for my size and the high winds here in the Rocky Mountains. I also use the Stanley 2 cup stove and have an entire cooking system with a propane rocket burner that nests inside a canvas carrier and fits in my saddle bag. Keep up the great videos! Brian Lloyd, Cody/Wyoming
thanks and appreciated. just bought the new hunter 3 weeks ago and its more a peppy type of ride and not far behind a 500 in pickup to 45 mph i'd say.
only done 40 miles on it so far but did a couple of ride clips in the past week all up now.
i actually had to buy that stanley 2 bit cup set from the usa as i couldnt get it here.
comes in handy too.
got a nice tent to show and a nifty stove in part 2 of this
all the best!
Brian, Don't hesitate with the 350: I'm a big guy, nearly 300 lbs., and it is absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough good things about the J-series 350. You will love it!
Lovely. I hope to be riding when I’m in my 70’s. Good for you mate!
Go for it! plus good to hear from a viewer of the clip too. all the best!
Love the sneak peaks of part 2!
go to hear. don't forget to sub and like the clip!
Very nice video Warro. Super enjoyable, especially your comments!
thanks. part 2 may be up later today
Wonderful Sir.., thank you for the video, Its really inspiring to see gentlemen like you enjoying life ! :)
thanks. i dont mind the odd run down a dirt track just to check out what the area is like. all the best!
Just a lovely video! Thank you for sharing, Warro!
Ride Safe 🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it and it's my pleasure. all the best!
Bloody beauty mate! Love those helpful captions and appreciate the editing. Thanks for taking us on your solo trip; looked a bonza!
Glad you enjoyed it. motivated me to get into and start work on the edit side to part 2.
Absolutely amazing video Warro, the places you take that stock Enfield mate you got some guts 😅. Thanks so much, I actually really love listening to the creek in the background and I can’t wait for part 2 😊
No problem 👍 believe it or not that enfield i pre-ordered 14 months ago in that colour just to do the series on camp/ride and cook.
there wasn't much interest so i never went further there.
probably for the better as i have much better equipement now and part 2 on the camp runs will show a couple of interesting items
all the best and good of you to respond to the clip
Brilliant !!😍👍 Definitely time for a sump guard and some dual purpose tyres 🤔
thanks and a sump guard would definately come in handy thats for sure. pasrt 2 has a lot of good stuff too. drone shots/smart looking tent/unusual stove nice angles.
all the best!
Very well made film, keep them coming. I am 76 and just bought a Honda CRF300 Rally so you have plenty left in the tank! Regards from Tasmania.
thanks and appreciated. once had a crf250 rally...great bike
Thank you for a relaxing video. Now I’m off to look at more of your uploads.
Enjoy! just put up part 2 of this clip up today. it should be worth a watch. nice creek and cook too.
all the best!
What a wholesome video. Be careful on those rocks!
one must always tread carefully. slight balance issue there...lol
Loved the footage. Planning some overnight trips myself on the 350. Im inspired.
Go for it! should be enjoyable
Haven't watched since I left the CT125 and bought a Versys X300. I'll be 77 in August. My brother is 71 with a matching bike like mine. We like riding back roads and easy forest roads. Good to see you again ... I need to catch up.
actually had a x300 versys myself about 5 years or so back. did a test review on one too. apart from that hard seat i thought they ran pretty well.
now got the new suzuki vstrom 250 sx which i plan to do a ride camp on soon.
still got part 2 of this to edit and complete.
the old ct125 days -enjoyable but a slightly underpowered experience!
I really like seeing you take a road bike into the scrub. One of the best things about going bush at this time of year; no snakes and no flies. The close to the ground angle on the fire trail works well but only in small amounts like you did in the clip.👍
worst enemies..snakes and flies...lol always keep my eyes on the ground in summer. angles wise i'm trying different things to keep it interesting rather than outright bordom.
part 2 has some nice stuff in it too so should well be worth watching.
all the best!
The "music" the best! The creek, the birds, the RE. 👍👍
good to hear you enjoyed it
Thanks Warro. I reckon the natural sounds of what is actually happening, minus the music is fine. Unless the cockatoos break out in orchestrations with a brass section, natural is great. Bike working sounds nice too. Thank again...............Tim.
Good to know! thanks for the imput and all the best!
Thanks for the video. Nice soundtrack and interesting ride.
Glad you enjoyed it. all the best!
Great video Warro , the sounds of the creek and the birds are the only music you need, keep on doing vids , I’m just about to click over 69 yrs. 😅and am about to set off on my first solo trip/camp can’t wait
hope to hear back that you enjoyed the experience. i was a bit concerned camped out there in the guts of the australian bush for the first time but once i went to sleep-i recall nothing...lol
creek was actually pretty load really and i had a bit of trouble concentrating on doing my clip.
but so far the viewers appeared to like it. i had plans to cut it out and add music...wife said leave it....more peaceful so i did.
all the best. part 2 is interesting drone shots/smart tent/unusual stove etc
Nice sounds out in the bush, well done, be careful out there young fella.
Thanks, will do!
Well done. Great trip and what a beautiful bike.
Glad you enjoyed it. actually working now on the edits to next part.out soon.all the best and appreciate your comment too.
Lovely, mate - really lovely! I'd say stay with the bush sounds; it's very restful down by that creek. Just be a bit careful clambering around those rocks; we're neither of us as resilient as we used to be! You've put in a lot of work with camera placement and angles and it makes for interesting footage, so I hope that you get the views. Looking forward to part 2.
thanks and appreciated. i was going to cut out that creek as it was pretty loud. i actually thought i had trouble concentrating there but after a couple of hours i got use to it...lol wife said keep it it its rather relaxing so the rest is history there. all the best.
Love this video Warro. Didn’t need music with all those birds and the rumble from the 350. I own a 350 Chrome which I hope to take out on some over nighters over here in the south of Western Australia. You are so spoilt living so close to those open rural roads
totally agree. i'm pretty lucky to ride different types of terrain in all directions. from mountainous to outright flat country to like this clip. wasn't too sure about if to leave the creek sound or not but it appears right choice. wife was right again...lol
back in 1980 on a trip around australia i recall climbing up that gloster tree or something like the sound of that i think. had spikes in the side and a long way up.
all the best!
I'm on a Gun Metal Gray Classic, same panniers (work well), duffle bag on top, like you (I still have pillion). Works great! Wonderful video of your experience. Thanks for sharing! And I really like the "ground level" footage - gives a real sense of the trail. Plus - Thanks for the insight on the Niftelift AND all of your RE servicing/mod videos.
"You don't stop riding when you get old. You get old when you stop riding"
i like that last sentence..sounds good...lol
bit touchy on that low camera angle as its only about 6"" off the ground so no good on rough dirt roads. i tried it once and hit the underside of the camera.
lift may come in handy just hope i dont have to use it as i'd say in the field it would not be fun at all...lol
all the best!
Greetings Worro, I've just found you! I'm also 70 years young and looking at acquiring the exact same bike, in halcyon grey. You've given me all the information I need to make the choice over the Himalayan I've also been looking at. I'll be doing the same type of riding as you. Now that I feel confident with its reliability, I might be able to ride longer distances, and just take it easy, and camp along the way also.
Thanks for your brilliant channel. I'll look forward to tuning in regularly. ( I grew up around Bathurst so know the area well)
Cheers, Bill
main thing i feel is keep it stock and dont ride it any faster than 100 kph and you'll get a very good run out of it. give it extra oil and filter changes and if you use penrite hpr gas 10 -10w-50 ive used that in every new enfield over the past 10 years...all 20 of them....lol
Thoroughly enjoyed the video, pleased to see you still have the local Magpies visiting, I remember your video from way back with them.
It must have been been hard work but what an experience.
Hopefully good memories made, I'm going up to Scotland next month on the Himalayan, that's going to be a long haul but hopefully I'll have a few good tales to tell and look back on it with a smile.
Ride safe mate.
those magpies from the old days have now been replaced with this clan. those originals were more friendly where this mob is more cautious.
so theres the parents,3 young from 2 years back-2 young from last year and they are ready to nest again
the now patrol the park across the road and hold territory there as a pack of 7...lol
ride wise it was indeed a bit of hard work but i think the edit on part one made it worthwhile
enjoy that scotland run too
Really enjoyed the video. You inspire me to go on adventures on my classic. Thx.
Glad to hear it and enjoy the experience. i wont recommend ride and camera clips as its really not that much fun but the rides itself...quite enjoyable there
Nice video. Thanks for leaving out the music.
No problem 👍
beautiful bike beautful nature just beautiful mate
thanks. great to hear you enjoyed the clip. i put a fair effort into this one. part 2 will be pretty good too. some nice stuff in it in the stove and tent side. all the best!
Lovely. Its a short video, and i liked this format, all sounds , no narration, but titles...and the camera angles. I am from India, and the youtube feed brought you to me. I happened to own the same Halcyon grey Classic just 18 months old. I am 43, I grew up around a place that has such silent forests and streams. It was so nice watching you do things at 70 those that i wanted to do in my 20s. All the best
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am 73;and the only difference would be that my flask would be filled with Jamesons. Love my C5, its a special bike. Great video.
Well said!
Really great video warro. Loved the whole thing, the views and sounds were excellent. The length is also good, 15-20 minutes is perfect for viewing.
thanks...good to hear you enjoyed it. all the best!
Nice one, top bike and in Man City FC colours!
yeah i like the colour. blends in easy with the surrounding. all the best!
Loved this, what an adventure. Man in the wild at peace with himself. Nice bit of escapism.
yeah it was a pretty good run and good to hear you liked it as i think it gets more interesting in the next clips. i'm in the process of the edit for part 2 now and i think it will go 3 clips. lots involved.
then onto more solo rides on the other bikes to some great places
all the best!
G'day Warro, what a wonderful location, the water sounds and the birds that's one of the thinks l like about living in a Country area of Australia, great photography as well, the 350 is built tough for the Indian roads and it works equally well in OZ, mate by today's standards 70 is the new 50, l hope your still riding at 100, we have a 92year old still ride's in our Classic Motorbike Club, cheers mate ride safe, Neil 🤠.
yeah i wasn't too sure about that water side and planned to cut it out. wife said relaxing and better than listening to me...lol so i left it....lol in part 2 i must have spooked a flock of birds because they screached on and on and if i had been talking may have been an issue...but i wasn't
not sure what they were but ran into about a flock of 30 of them. maybe the exhaust note set them off. either way they had the $hits...lol
I enjoy your videos and the nature sounds. Don’t overthink the content, just go with the flow. After a few trips you’ll get a rhythm and what equipment works best while camping. I would like would like to see more of you setting up camp, cooking and the camping equipment that you use and your opinions on the suitability for motorcycle camping. Cheers!
Thanks for the tips!
Great ride and hike. I really enjoyed the sounds of nature. I thought the volume was perfect throughout. The way you added everything into this clip created excellent variety and kept it interesting. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next part. Those magpies in the opening were looking for more bike parts 😂
Glad you enjoyed it! yeah those magpies can be some-what annoying. there not there because we are friends -they are there for a free meal.
once fed there gone for maybe 3 hours and back again.
7 in the group so when you get them all together -they can hit a pretty high decibel.....lol
@@ridewithwarro Smart birds 😄
great video - loved the sound of the creek
Glad you enjoyed it
this is why I pay my internet bills for!! Lovely video
good to hear you enjoyed it. there are two or three of those in my history clips.
That was really great mate and proper butter on those pikelets as well. Water sound just right. Thanks Warro.
yeah must admit they were a bit dry to be totally honest. i tried one prior and almost choked...lol next time i will make my own or have a go at it. wife said there easy so will find out . yeah it was taking a long time to put it together as im not too crash hot on the editing side plus i dont care either so just load and cut and enough probles there.
all the best!
@@ridewithwarro puftaloons mate fried scones plum jam that's the go. Old bushies receipe.
Was filmed great wasn't it great work.
Warro might be keen on Triumph 400 Dain 🌲 Tree if it not a vibes monster.Vibes put off too time will tell.I found Interceptor skinny grips had vibrations so put grip puppies on & made a massive difference.
Don't know if Interceptor vibration was skinny grips or just vibration or my tennis elbow & but grip puppies definitely worked.Trident isn't bad no need for grip puppies but grips normal size.
@@ruahinesrider Ducati and Harley's have a few vibrations but as the beachboys said good good good vibrations.
I loved that video!!!
thanks and greatly appreciated too. all the best!
Thanks for taking us along. What a great area
thanks working on starting the edit for part 2 of the camp side. all the best!
Good for you Warro. Make the most of it. I was good to go at 70 and I'm 77 now and I couldn't do that now, can still ride though. Regards Edward.
yeah i know exactly what you mean there. might as well do it while ya can as the time will come when its not possible or just plain hard work
all the best!
Awesome video Warro 👍, a great watch and the natural nature sounds just topped it off
thanks. it appears quite a few liked the water side of it. had plans to cut it out as i thought it may be annoying. wife said leave it and the rest history.
nice stuff in part 2 too
You guys love these little bikes
sure do and best of all if one knows he can buy any bike he likes and still choses an enfield...that indicates that they are pretty good bikes and much better than one would think.
just talking 350's there as they are the pick of the singles. just bought the hunter too.
ive had 22 new enfields so i know these bikes extremely well...lol a very good value ride
Living the dream ❤
wasn't a bad experience now i have time to look back at the clip. was more like full on doing it but i think i ended up doing a reasonable job.
part 2 the drone comes in for a run
all the best!
I loved the noise of the creek. So calming 🙂
Yes it was! good to hear you enjoyed the experience
Bike sure looks good decked out with camping gear great stuff mate
thanks. sort of ready for adventure. think the hunter 350 will do well too. i had a run on it today on dirt and it likes it...lol
so once run in i'll bring it into play.
all the best!
Great video! Greeting from Minnesota, USA
Glad you enjoyed it! appreciated too. working now on the edits for part 2, all the best!
This is a very good video my friend.
Thank you very much. check out the comments link for part 2. some really nice stuff in that one.

Keep this up mate, cracking video.
Thanks 👍 glad to hear you enjoyed it. working now on part 2 edit
Enjoyed watching your video from the first frame to the last. 🙂👍👌👋 I too own a Reborn Classic 350 Halcyon Green in India. Congratulations and best wishes from a 68 year old to a 70 year old. I visited Australia recently in April 2023, Vic., Queensland, etc.
Very cool! i almost bought the green myself. great bike the new 350's...actually my favourite. im in nsw so not that far from qld.
good to hear you enjoyed the clip too. working now on part 2 edits and hope to have it up on youtube soon.
all the best!
Wow Warro, incredible journey. Yes, need to get a sump guard 🙏 And stock tyres too🙌 Credit to your tenacity & courage💪💪
Thank you 🙌 i think so too. i have the hunter 350 accessory pack sump guard. it may even fit. i think i scaped the underside 2 or 3 times down that track.
gopro doesn't really show how steep it was but saying that i've been in worse areas...lol
all the best!
@@ridewithwarro I reckon it should since the frame is near identical. I’d recommend installing it Warro. The trails you go down admirably will give you a bit of peace of mind 🤙 Really appreciate your videos, the incredibly beautiful part of nature in Australia ⭐️
Got the RE 350 Classic too, just a few years behind you, I love this little bike, it's possibilities seem endless. Cracking video, loved it, I've removed the rear seat & I'm going to remove the rear pad from it to somehow fit a rack to it. Many thanks for taking the time to take us all along with you on your adventures, Steve.
yeah i like the classic 350 reborn the best. 3 weeks back i bought the hunter too and its a lot more peppy than the classic 350 -just doesnt look as good...lol or i dont think so.
heaps of stuff on this bike plus many others in my history. this classic 350 has been in some very rough country.
part 2 to this is coming out within a few days
all the best!
@@ridewithwarro Thanks for the reply
Have you filmed part 2 yet?@@ridewithwarro
I'm old but even when younger I'd get cramp in my left leg while riding. Having to extend that leg is a bastard, and there is always the fear the cramp wont stop. Nice vid. Last bike I had (sold it last year) was an import (1988 model) to Aus of a Honda spada 250. Such a bike. I bought it for my daughter in 2006. So nimble with clipons and 40hp on a v twin. It felt like that bike just wanted to have fun. Take care...
know what you mean cramp side and had a few myself. they can make you pull over very quiick when hit with a leg cramp.
riding position on this is pretty good compared to some of my other rides.
overall a pretty nice bike to ride. not blessed with much power 20 horses-more pony than race...lol
but still a nice easy relaxing bike to ride.
never saw a honda spada but 40 hp is pretty impressive indeed
all the best!
Really nice video chap , and the Enfield sounds lovely!
Gorgeous scenery 👍🇬🇧
thanks. its not too bad in there apart from being a bit on the remote side. in part 2 i camp in a much safer place. wild outdoors but i think safer...lol
Hello, thanks for sharing that trip and spirit you have. Admirations on what you did and keep it coming ;). Pretty well done ;).
thanks. good to hear you enjoyed the content
Love it Warro 🎉
thanks. put a great deal of effort into part 1. just to see if i can improve the views
Looks like a hell of a good time. My friends and I have gotten some ‘70 Yamaha AT1’s that I have rebuilt and we plan to take them on a journey from North Alaska all the way down to South Argentina. Life is always an adventure worth riding!
sounds like to me you are planing one really great ride. wish you all the best there and a safe journey. many would like to do just that trip but very few will
all the best!
Nice. I liked your vid very much, sweet relaxing nature sounds, bit of RE action too. Good on ya mate, greetings fron Essex UK 🤙🏽
Thank you very much! working on the edit for part 2. nice actual walk along the creek itself plus a brunch...lol
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I’m 64, and not getting around as well as you are. Nifty lift is a great idea!
thanks and good to hear you enjoyed it and i now carry that lift kit with me...just in case.
i actually dropped my suzuki vstrom 250 sx in mud and could get it back up...too weak in the strength side so found that lift kit.
wife said it was pretty easy to lift that honda once on the move...lol hopefully i wont have to try it...lol
working on part 2 now and the overnight camp part
all the best!
Flipping heck mate. I can’t believe where you took that beautiful bike. All in jeans and trainers. Makes me feel somewhat overdressed 😂 Great video. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Live Long Ride On ❤
that was a very easy day for it...lol you should check part 2. its out now plus i have even harder rides in my history. all the best!
i enjoyed the video emencly, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it. part 1 and 2 out of the way now to put the final together
When you spoke about your uncle who drank metho (?), I was reminded of an old fellow who lived in my hometown. Every one called him Beany, or Old Unity because he spent his winters at the Unity, New Hampshire combination old folks home/county jail. I recommend that he lived in a cardboard box under a bridge the rest of the year. He was older than dirt when I knew him and he once told me his name was Sylvanus Baker Crowell which I thought was a mighty elegant name. It was said about him that he had fought in the trenches in France in WW 1. It was also said that he had suffered what was called Shell Shock, or Battle Fatigue. He certainly was a strange old bugger, twitchy as anything. With his antics and gestures, he would have been a top tier substitute for a circus chimp. Good hearted though. He would drink Sterno, although not straight out of the tin. He would strain the solids out of ot it through a questionable pocket handkerchief and tip the pink liquid into a plastic pocket flask. He offered me a nip once, and I said, Sylvanus, that stuff is going to kill you! Well, he then pulled a fresh tin out of his jacket pocket and said with a leer, It don't say poison on it, does it? I looked and sure enough it didn't, nor did it say not for consumption. I thought that was all right, as he didn't have consumption, just a fairly strong urge to drink the cheapest alcohol he could find. He said with a wink, If it ain't bad for ya, it must be good for ya, right? Right? I also declined the second offer of a nip that he said would put hair on my chest. I was 16 or 17 back then, and I will admit to liking my lager perhaps a little bit more than was good for me. I was hoping to live for a few more years at least, and felt that nipping Sterno was counter productive. I'm 72 just now, and I'd say I managed at least that modest goal.
Love your channel youngster, keep 'em coming!v
good read there. that guy must have been quite some character. back in the '60's i asked the old man ...where's ted
he replied back in jail. apparently he had been picked up for disorderly conduct and vagrancy.
days later i recall them talking and laughing about the incident.
the judge gave the uncle 6 months in jail where today they'd get away with a lot more and do zero time.
so the joke was -your honor i can do that standing on my head. so the judge replied ...well Leslie Arthur i had better give you an extra 6 months to help put you back on your feet...lol
so he actually got 12 months!
i must admit though in my case at around 8 or 9 years of age when he got charged up with the metho -it was scary times indeed.
all i can say now he must have had one hell of a strong gut lining. although the metho does work well in my camping stoves...lol
really good fire water!
Great video. Aussie wildlife is a lot more vocal than the UK variety. Lovely place to stop for a brew ! Loved the sounds of the creek. I was waiting for you to leg it over the stream along the fallen tree. I guess you resisted the temptation :-)
Glad you enjoyed it bit risky on that tree side...lol roughly 25 feet off the water steep grade and damp. might not have ended well on a clip which overall has had a very poor view rate
Wow, Australia looks great! Such wide open spaces. Great video, thanks for sharing from the UK.
Thanks for watching! part 2 link in the description

I’m the same age as you and have just started riding again in the last few years . I agree about getting old and less agile it’s a pain.Enjoyed the video.
yeah i'd say its no picnic...lol but nothing one can really do about that. got a few looks on this clip so i have decided to get into it and work on part 2. i'd say it will go 3 clips before i ride any of the other bikes in this series.
6 bikes 20 solo runs so 3 clips each...lol
