Well done. Is there no pub within walking distance of the camp site? A hot pub meal would have been a perfectly good way deal with the dark evenings. I’m going camping next weekend at a thing called the Minivernale in Allanche at 1000m in the Monts de Cantal in central France. It’s run by somebody I know who is a member of a sidecar group who do a lot of winter events. I’ve been thinking about the road conditions in the mountains on my solo motorcycle since booking and have in fact booked a place to stay on the Thursday night so I can arrive at the camp site early on Friday afternoon and avoid riding in the dark. It looks as though I need not have bothered as the temperatures are forecast to be unseasonably high at between 4° and 14° which should be a lot more comfortable than the -10° it was there last night. The only downside to the higher temperatures is that it is usually a weekend camping in the snow and that is not likely to happen this time. Thanks again for posting the video.

Hi, for longer touring I definitely prefer the Hiimalayan, I'm 52 years old and fnd it more comfortable in the upright riding position, better visibility and better for loading up like a pack horse. It just doesn't stop ! 😊

Well Charlie muddy boots on the carpet. Thought must be the daughter but no, ‘‘twas you. Naughty my ex wife would have cattle prodded me for that😂. Braver than me I went out on my car the other day and it is literally salt crusted. Didn’t seem that bad on road but keeping bike off roads with the salt. Spray bike with fs365 and do not wash
I do the hoovering so it's my problem. 😂 I do coat Roger in acf 50. 😊

3:11 hey another great video. Fair play you must be first also in a tent this year. Thats a medal 🏅 in its self. Can I ask, what video editing platform are you using, I guess its ran off windows 11 stitching insta and go gro together. Ive made the mistake of buying a chromebook thats not compatible with insta editing and now seeking cast iron advice. Any help greatly appreciated and keep this up x😊

Great video Charlie! I wood go riding here in Washington State in the North West US but it has been down to 0 F or -17 C with snow on the ground. I have ridden in cold snowy weather but that was many years ago when I was in my 20's. Not some thing I want to do at the ripe old age of 72.

Yep, 59 yesterday and right there with you. For more than 30 years my bike was my daily transport and I did go to rallies all year round, I've camped with snow on the ground a couple of times but I'm afraid that like you these days I like my central heating!

Lovely Mother and Daughter video Charlie. You need waterproof boots and as a backup waterproof socks. Cold wet feet (or hands) make the whole of you feel cold. I also wear a belt with built-in handles for my granddaughter to hold onto when she goes pillion. Enjoy the Dragon.

From a wrinkly old Biking camper, any tree can be a danger in high winds Charlie, but the ones to really watch out for even in fine windless weather are Beech Trees, young or old, diseased or healthy. I've seen them suddenly drop a bough in mid summer with not even a breeze blowing. So no camping under Beech Trees, even in fine weather, otherwise our nutty Nomad could get flattened. 😄 👍

Excellent Charlie 👍. A proper mum and daughter bonding camp. Here's a tip for you, when I used to camp years ago up in the Yorkshire dales, with mates, I found that if you stick a your pullover in the bottom of your sleeping bag, it keeps your feet toasty warm 😉 try it, it really works.
I shoved a hot water bottle down there instead. 😂
I believe one of Mick Jagger's kids went to Marlborough College too. We spent many Sundays in Savernake forest pick nicking with the Kids when we lived in Swindon. Now we live in Ohio USA and spend time travelling the USA with the camping trailer. I did take trip on my Suzuki V Strom 650 out to Utah. 6500 miles round trip. That was fun.
Lovely to see your daughter as pillion.my wife refused to be pillion due to a school friend dying as a pillion. However my 3 daughters have all been my pillion and loved it. Great days out, great bonding, forever memories. The middle one has done all her tests and progressed to a 650 gladius and now a street triple as well as her 140i bmw. A true petrol head. It’s strange because I am a terrified pillion

Great video, lots of fun! Quick tip to stay warm tho, invest in a decent camping inflatable mat with a good R value, blow up mattresses are very cold to sleep on due to there being so much air inside them and little insulation, so comfy in the summer but won’t keep you warm
