- This is a long test of the Cobra soundtracker system
I go into how the circuit changes your signal and I also do testing on how it can improve your range
Today songs are Pat Briscoe “drifting” and gorilla rodeo “time and again”

ARE SOUNDTRACKER RADIOS BETTER? RANGE TESTING HOW IT WORKS, IS IT WORTH HAVING???
Thanks for clearing that up Johnny. Great video.
No problem buddy 👍
I used those for many years and yes the sound tracker does work. Usually with those cobra's the speaker goes out and people think the radio is messed up. Pretty common problem with a easy fix.
Thats great, I needed a comment like yours to show people that it does indeed work. Good tip on the speaker issue. I'll remember that.
Interesting video. I always thought this was just a bogus sales gimmick… thanks for the explanation.
Yeah I had my suspicions about that as well that’s why I put it to the test I appreciate the comment thank you! 👍
@@JohnnyNJones yessir. I just found your channel and have been enjoying your radio vids 👍🏻
Broadband theory is actually quite interesting. It sometimes seems like if a person learns and understands it’s behaviour long enough, divorce is inevitable.
Thanks for the videoon the ST- LOL- I have 2 but I like and don't like- Hard to explain - BUT They look cool. 21 in S.C.
To each their own my friend, we all like our specific radios 👍
In my case I like really old ones
@@JohnnyNJones I have one in my truck, and talk skip everywhere with it, I just don't care for the receive with the sound tracker on, it cuts it down( on mine) I like old radios as well hence- Old Radio Night on my channel- you can see the 25 in actio, Have a great 4th.
Oh yes I watched year streamed before I was there for quite some time I remember
You have yourself a great Fourth of July as well
Great video i have a soundtracker ssb out for repair right now not one of my best radios for sure its a quirky sort of a rig.Lots of good info now i understand how the soundtracker thing works.
Im a big fan of the band Queen and i recently came across this video of Brian May doing a Rainbow song Since You've Been Gone and he knocks it out of the park.
Next is Rumble by Link Wray.
73's 514 Ontario Canada
Since you’ve been gone as one of my favorite songs from post dio era rainbow
Richie Blackmore was a pretty great guitarist I’ll say that but I feel like Tony Iommi was more my style
So I’m definitely glad black sabbath/heaven and hell happened
I’ll check out the other song though for sure
@@JohnnyNJones Im a big fan of Dio ,a small guy with a massive voice.
Oh yeah he was very short he looked similar to rhea Perlman that used to be on cheers remember that show
She was Danny DeVito’s wife
So Ronnie definitely was Italian, he was also the one who did the 🤟 sign first
He said it was a hand signal that his grandmother did to ward off evil
But of course Gene Simmons claimed that he invented it
When dio was asked about it he said “yeah well Gene Simmons thinks he created everything”
It’s very close to being true, Gene tried to trademark everything he possibly could
I never really cared for Kiss personally, I thought it was more gimmick than music.
@@JohnnyNJones Yes ive heard that too about the hand sign and Dios grandmother. I was never a big fan of Kiss either ,although Gene Simmons is a smart guy when it comes to making money.
73's
Speaking of Dio That’s my last videos recommendation I hope you haven’t heard it before
Oh by the way I listened to that song rumble Very twangy and early rockabilly style it’s quite nice
I noticed that you like songs that are purely instrumental
I’ve got a perfect one for you but I’ll put it in my next video 👍
It’s amazing to think you’re using a dummy load with that kind of range. Very cool radio!
Yeah it was a nice test that really showed how useful soundtracker could be
Cool video thank you!!!!
No problem! Hope it was helpful!
You the man Johnny Jones fucking legend....!!!!
Thank you Mr. Bigfoot You’re a pretty big legend yourself 👍
I know this is a year later, but does Cobra even make sound tracker radios anymore? I don’t think I’ve seen one for at least a good year or so.
I just checked and yes they are making sound tracker radios still, they have a few different models with it included.
@@JohnnyNJones thanks for the reply 👍🏼
@@bobdillashaw4360 no problem 👍
johnny jones do you have a base station you might want to sell you have enough radios. OR are you a hoarder that keeps everything.
I have one base right now, but it requires a power supply because the AC transformer is out.
Do you need an external speaker for one of these? Or does it have a built in speaker of sorts or noise that comes out of the mic. I just bought one and have lots of questions
No it has an internal speaker most CB radios (if not all of them) have internal speakers but you can buy external speakers if you’d like
You might want to watch my beginners guide to CB radio it’s my most popular video
It’ll answer some of the questions you might have
looks almost as same as uniden pc68 ltw.
Yep especially with the dual knobs
