- @Aztrosist gives you a rundown of Loss - also known as CADbortion, Loss.jpg and | || || |_, refers to an iconic cartoon strip from the video game-themed webcomic series Ctrl+Alt+Del[1] in which the female lead suffers a miscarriage. The dramatic tonal shift for the series was unexpected, and for many readers, unsuccessful, leading to the strip being widely mocked online. In the decade since its release, it became the subject of widespread mockery among its readers, and has since been widely parodied in minimalist interpretations of the strip's four panels, represented as "| || || |_".

I've been living under a rock when it came to this meme. I heard of it, but never cared to learn of it
gonna look for who asked. it's like leaving a review of a restaurant going "i've never been to this restaurant" and leaving 1 star.
Is this loss?
I thought (and still think) this is a reference to 9/11.
It's not
@@yasininn76then what is it about
@@MetalGearMechWars miscarriage
Of course it is, since it is the memorable day Lego Star Wars 2 hit the shelves
just heard about this from facebook, where every one is "Loss"
what was the original comic about, what’s the context?
Miscarriage

The issue was it was a gag comic. The 1000 comics before that were all jokes, then Loss comes in and gives everyone massive tone whiplash.
That comic was heavily criticized for being crap, for pandering to the gaming community, and its creator for being a hack and inserting himself into it as the main character (this was on /v/, one of the most toxic sites ever). The series itself was a meme, so when it tried to insert that kind of theme it was just the perfect storm and it was laughed at into oblivion. This is the aftermath.
I unironically, liked the story ark that lost us from when I read it at the time and I did not understand why people were being weird about it.
I’m living under a rock… along with everyone else.
Till today, I still don't get the point of the meme. Is it a joke? Prank? Intended to make fun of the webcomic author? Then again, this coming from a guy who doesn't get the Rick Astley as a rickrolled meme.
It’s basically the same as the rick roll, just to trick you friends into looking at something they didn’t expect over and over.
I too have been living under a rock... it was called 'working for the railroad'. It sucked too.
Gotta help those synths
This meme reminds me of the devil vortex meme in the geometry dash community anything you see can either be loss or devil vortex saws
I feel so old -_-
Aztrosist from Sleep Deprived??
Yes
Brooo it sounds just like her
Since I didn't read the comic series that 'loss' is from, I didn't see any issue with it. Even if I did, I understand that self-published comic artists will have 'out of character' things show up, usually due to something happening in their life.
Based on the title of the strip, and the positions. To me, it comes across as a story about a young husband arriving at the hospital and finding out that whatever happened to his wife, they lost the baby. To me, it's a tragic story and should not be mocked. Now, the mimic versions are not mocking to me... so don't go thinking I hate the meming on it.
With that in mind, the anniversary update version having an 'I know' face on the husband actually comes across as losing the baby was intentional by the husband. So that one actually does upset me a bit, as that husband I want to punch in the face.

The rock on the bottom of which this nonsense is drawn is where you are spending your life under. 99.9% or more of people have never heard of it. I just learnt about it today accidentally, because I never just pass by something I see but don't understand. None of the people I asked later about this, as an experiment, had an idea. And, as opposed to me, that fact didn't bother them, so they still don't know. Nerds are not many, while there are numerous species of them, which don't share their cultures with each other. I recommend you to move out of your mental bubble into the big world and realize the diversity of it, at least to the extent to which your shrunk imagination would allow you to. May blow some fuses.
