They did this for Mario Golf. Any Mario game that isn’t mainline just feels like it always lacks content! This wasn’t the case years back!

This review is actually really well put together. Your points flowed and the voiceover combined with gameplay and your style of editing make it incredibly engaging to watch! Just a side note, I do think with all the criticisms you gave strikers, a 5 score is actually quite high, but no maybe I’m just dumb. I would love for more reviews on this style (botw 2 review anyone???)
I love how the video simply ends with 5/10 period. But yes, I agree with you, I think Nintendo have the capability to make a good online game but they either just don't want to for some reason or they're crazy. I think it's the second one.
Gotta say, even though this is kind of a different type of video, it still maintains the great A-Game feel. Great Editing JP!
I totally agree! Nintendo has completely been ignoring some obvious solutions. That’s why I always wait till the game is out for a month or so to get it.
Yeah Nintendo release unfinished games then put DLC which takes forever. The DLC content should be in the main game to make it less incomplete. I am disappointed I was excited for this game but it's stuffed up. Also speaking of audacity of Nintendo. Nintendo expects us to pay the same amount of money for a incomplete game

Thank you for your honest review. As a parent, this is very helpful with making game purchasing decisions. With so many games out there and limited finances, it can sometimes be difficult for my kiddos to understand that we simply cannot buy every single game that Nintendo throws at us.

Nice review. You're actually really good at reviews, but you can decide what you want to do with reviews, if you keep doing them they might be expected by viewers, and I don't know if that's your thing. I think you should just do what you want.

Anyone feel Hyper Strikes are all...samey? Like yeah the animations and visual flare is nice, but that's it. Every character just kicks the ball up, either jumps or waits then kicks the ball again. Imagine if Hyper Strikes gave the team who used it some sort of buff or debuff to opponents(Temporarily of course). Let me give a few examples...
Daisy: After preforming or scoring with the Hyper Strike, your team temporarily gets a flowery shield-like barrier that prevents players from getting tackled or hit by items
Yoshi: After preforming or scoring with the Hyper Strike, the number of dodges and the duration the dash is slightly increased.
Toad: After preforming or scoring with the Hyper Strike, your team's run speed is temporarily increased by 5-10%
Bowser: After preforming or scoring with the Hyper Strike, your team temporarily has a strength increase by 5-10%
Rosalina: After preforming or scoring with the Hyper Strike, players frozen with then have a temporary speed decrease by 5%
As fun as the game looks, it felt like false advertising. For a full priced game, I expected way more online support. This was a very, very good video and an eloquent way of describing the consistent frustration we feel as consumers of Nintendo Products.

I respect the opinion I was going to buy the game but now i don’t want to. I also don’t want to sit around and wait and i think Nintendo should put some more critical thinking into when the updates and game should have come out. This was very insightful!

They are just cutting corners nowadays. My theory to this is that fans will buy Nintendo games no matter what because Nintendo makes the games look so hype from the trailers. I think that Nintendo knows this and they are just free to do whatever they want with it because they know it’ll make bank no matter what. It is just so lazy of them. It’s getting me worried about other games that are coming out later this year I was thinking about getting. Is there going to be lack of content and bad online services that Nintendo with all their money can’t pour into improving their services? This is just what I’m thinking though, others may have another view of this.
@@newstar2248 I'm sorry, but the Mario Strikers Battle League trailer even looked cheap to me. Aside from the good graphics, there was nothing cinematic or hype about it to me. I see it more as Nintendo trying to use people's nostalgia to exploit them in buying half-baked content with a side of a promise of free updates coming in the near future (which can range from one measly update to a few updates that don't fix the core issue of the half-baked game).

Great video, if you are intending to make more of video games reviews in the future just keep going! You've got good arguments, you're convincing, the editing is awesome and you still manage to be funny. Though, if you want to improve you should film yourself. It's always nice to see all of the hard work you give in to be better and diversify your content, even if this new type of video was a little bit forced by the shameful behavior nintendo has recently...

I like seeing game reviews like this from this RUclipsr. You should make this a series where you do game reviews and give it a series name like “Game Grade” or something like that.

They could make a story mode where the characters team up and you pick a side and make a team with limited characters, after that they can have a multistory and multiending depending on who you choose

I've found playing Strikers online impossible. I just play solo against CPU. It is a fun game though.
Great review, funny how not a few days later Nintendo released DLC for this (not that it changes much in the long run) I would actually say the game's strength is playing locally (despite the marketing), then you can have those sweet 4 v 4 matches, and having food and friends you can trashtalk in the room with you -- that is what elevates strikers for me personally. Though I know the busyness of people's lives, and the convenience of online is slowly killing that local fun, I'm happy it is still a highlight in this game. I do feel bad for those who solely wanted to play this online however or those looking for an innovative single player experience.
I totally get what you mean - offline play with friends is really great. I guess the counterpoint then would be because the offline mode is so great, why would Nintendo make the majority of game progression/Strikers Club a half baked online experience? It should really have had a more generous offering for offline play.
I like the idea of adding game review to the Mr AGame style of great comedy and entertainment...also a lot of those game reviewers aren't 'family friendly ' and I appreciate that

Oh cool! It's great to hear a review from you Mr A. I'd love to see more. I only play Mario Party Superstars and I have to say the fact that there's only 5 maps is infinitely disappointing. I just dont get why nintendo couldnt give us a proper amount. I know it is better than Super Mario party but...not by much. And it's otherwise so fun =(

100% agree on all of your points! I'm still sticking fat with Golf because NS Sports didn't release golf at launch which is an utter crime to a degree. If these Mario sport games were like $50-$60 at launch I might have snapped up Strikers but I had my doubts and fears when it was announced. Nintendo have dead set dropped the ball when it comes to releasing games that are complete at launch and I had to say it but it all started before Reggie left Nintendo. They dont really seem to care about the end products because they know well that no matter what the put out there people will buy those games. We need to start speaking with our wallets if we want to get the message across

i was literally really tempted to get Nintendo Online subscription because of this game, and guess what.
After 7 day trial, I realised that there is not a single game I own that plays well through online. (Maybe Mario Kart and Smash Bros are okay).
But the fact that I can't play 4v4 on Smash.. serious?
It sucks how you can only play 1v1 on all other games except for Mario Kart is just crazy!

Nintendo is probably too busy working with Illumination on the Mario Movie and setting up Nintendo Picture. They don't have enough time to make a complete game, but they know that they have to release something soon.

I will not be making the same mistake either in the future. I bought Mario 3D all stars and Mario Strikers and had been let down by both in different ways when this should have been an easy win for Nintendo. But they hate us, so I'll hate them back by not supporting them financially

Hey Mr. A game can you do another fall guys stream because I just got fall guys yesterday.
5/10 is being generous, I'd give it a 3. You can tell the core of the Mario Strikers series is there but it is nowhere close to capturing the heart and soul of what it truly is.
For example
-Every character's tone shifts have been reduced, they're no longer the edgy badass characters they once were. They have been severely toned down for no apparent reason.
- The online gameplay is good like I said but at a time, it was completely flawed with high shooting Rosalinas pre-patch. I know this got fixed later but cross passing in front on the opposing keeper is just as overpowered. The balanced in this game is awful.
- Clubs have a huge limitation towards playing together. Most of us have to play separately, OR on our own if connection quality is bad with friends.
Agreed Nintendo is starting to go downhill in my opinion with online services and fan services

I agree and thankfully didn't buy Battle league but reports from others make me think you're right. They even managed to make nintendo switch sports bad. Nintendo if you don't like making sports games don't make them. If you are devoting studios to creating these games that have barely any content then stop it and direct them to contributions to bigger and BETTER games such as whatever the next 3d mario 9r metroid prime 4.
I would say it's not the Studios who are providing a lack of content but Nintendo is making it hard for them to make complete games, like giving them tight deadlines or restricting what they can do to the point that they can only give out the bare minimum but make the game look shiny and new to get people to eat up the game fast
And I thought Nintendo support their games with updates.
