It was also in a handful of European commercials and the Italian comedy series Le Iene before being picked by David as the main theme for his show in the 1990s. He heard the song in the background of a bank commercial. “There was something circusy about it. I like to get away with things, comedically, and sometimes music can help in that regard." - Larry David, an article on Vulture.com about the main theme song's origins.

Lmao, Funkman drinking his water is so hilarious, especially how he does it. And also his nod when Larry says that Lewis's gf likes him cause of his water stance, he so understands and respects Larry right there. Oh god, it breaks my heart that Bob Einstein isn't here with us anymore.
I don't know why, but when Funkhouser says "I don't care about that," referring to Larry's shoelace, I die laughing every time.
I think my favorite thing about the Funk vs. David argument is that they're like, "We are no longer friends," but the Funk still hangs out, has a water and shoots the shit for a minute.
