Us and Texass going to the SEC was primarily due to Bob Bowlsby and his indecision and lack of building the conference. He didn't fight for the conference. Had they gotten rid of him about 5 years ago, I don't think we would of left.
I was so glad to see us shut out the offense but after a little bit I just started feeling bad for Arkansas State

Out of all the ncaa. This is an absolute clinic Oklahoma put on today. Yes oregon put up 81. But gave up a score. The defense of ou was smothering. Causing multiple injuries and hitting hard with nasty attitudes. Its jus Arkansas state, but to put up the biggest shutout since jason white is insane. Only true boomers remember that a&m spanking
Love seeing the offense in rhythm. There was glimpses of it last year depending on who was on the field. But no matter who was on the field yesterday, everyone was on the same page. That tempo will be hard to stop if they can keep it rolling. Defense looks more cohesive but time will tell with better opposition.
If i were a player on Arkansas State, i would quit football. Every single person on that coaching staff should be fired.

THIS is what you're supposed to do to inferior opponents. Im not drawing any conclusions from this game since it is just Arkansas State, but if this was last years team, it probably would've been 59-27, or something like that.
I think SOME conclusions can be drawn, even against Arkansas State. Last year we almost got shut out in the first half against Kent State! We didn’t score until 18 seconds before halftime. Even UTEP gave us problems for a couple of quarters after we jumped out to a big lead.

I have a family member who went to the University of South Dakota when they came to town in 2019. She told me the football players were actually really excited to get to come to a n iconic place like Oklahoma and play in front of a big crowd on TV.

The team looked great overall. I still saw some plays that could of burned us if ASU had a better QB and Receivers. Our CBs and LBs were out of positron a few times. The confidence is there , the fly to the ball is there along with the sense of urgency. We have a lot of depth now, unlike last year and the fellas seem more in tune with everything over all. SMU and Tulsa are solid decent teams Cincy is better so these will be good challenges for OU before we play Texass! I think we will beat Texass, if so we should win the Big 12 and go on to the playoffs. Boomer Sooner!!

As an Arkansas State alumni and fan, this is a prime reason why Butch Jones should be terminated in contract, anyone who comes in and blames everyone else but themselves and taking responsibility for their failures is useless considering not two years prior it was a program that was very competitive and not a team to doubt in making upsets under Blake Anderson. We have never lost this bad even to Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, or any big conference team.
