Thanks, for sharing. My grandmother is from Costa Rica and my grandfather is Jamaican. They also met in Panama. 🇵🇦 I am going to Panama next year to get my citizenship through my parents.
Nice, balanced content that's focused on reality and practicality. 👏 I was at an airport in Columbia on a business trip not to long ago, and someone from the US started spitting English to an attendant at the airport expecting the person to speak English. I intervened, and sorted things out, but inside myself, I was appalled that anyone could go to any country, and expect it to be a clone of their own country. In my view, it's not the world according to America, and nobody has to hop, skip, and jump to Americans. Money can't buy everything, and the pace at which things happen is part of culture. In parts of Europe, for example, you can buy a cup of coffee, and sip it all day if you wanted, and nobody will move you along. Not only that, but you don't have to call anyone to pay the bill, you can just leave the money on the table when you're done, and simply depart. But I digress. 😉 Thanks again sincerely for your hard work which is always appreciated. 👏 ✨
Yes. You have jungle and rainforest. I lived in Florida for 6 years. I am originally from Iowa! There were a lot of critters in Florida that were not in Iowa. I got used to it, but it was different. I imagine I would be able to get used to Panama critters as well. I know Spanish and would need to brush up on my Spanish because I want to 😅speak it out of respect. I am planning to move to Panama, and will be checking it out later in the year for vacation! Have been listening to you and several other Panama RUclipsrs! Keep up the good work!
Hi, I am starting to follow you recently, I like the way you provide info. I am from Puerto Rico, living in Philadelphia. I have lived in PR the majority of my life. I am about to retire between April 2025 to April 2026. As living in PR many of the bad or challenging things in Panama, to me look as normal 🤣. I am serious considering to move Panama, thanks for your videos and information are awesome!! Thanks !
Love the videos. Sorry I can never make it to the live streams. But I do have a suggestion for a topic. The new year is approaching, maybe do a video of upcoming events for 2025. Not every little event. But high level big things happening in the city or other parts of the country. I am always making plans to visit and if something is on a particular weekend, it may 🤝 the deal. And if you have attended once before, your insight would be fun to hear about your experiences.
Just found you. Love your videos. Can you point me to one or two expat groups? Just to get oriented. I tried one FB group, but it was just a commercial for tourism providers. Thanks
Aisha, my wife and I will be visiting Panama City this February. Can you recommend any places for listening to jazz music or the dates of the Jazz Fest there?
Look up Casa Pallet. Someone just posted about listening to jazz there. See if they have regular jazz nights and I hope they have something when you are in town.
@@relicofgold lucky I haven’t had that problem and that was with two cats. But yes, the smell is horrible and hard to get rid of but the landlords only seemed to be concerned with them scratching their furniture. A way around that is to search for an unfinished apartment I guess… but the pee smell lol.
In Panama, the inequality is in your face,in other Latin countries it's pushed out to the outskirts, hidden away from view, but it's there. Seems like Panama has decided not to uproot its poor just to make tourists comfortable.
@@guillermogouldburn763 thanks for this comment. I am way to new here to know the answer but I can saw that there was an effort to gentrify the Casco Viejo area. I wonder where those people are now. This will make for an interesting discussion and video. Your comment just inspired me. 👊🏽
@AbroadAbility It's a balancing act indeed, finding business people to invest in El Chorrillo without banishing the locals to make room for well-heeled locals and expats. I think that's the goal. It would be easy to force the locals out, bulldoze the place and build condos for the rich. It doesn't fix the problem, it just moves it out of view. The "if you don't see it, it doesn't exist, we don'thave to fix it" approach of other governments. As far as I remember, the government's goal has always been to let Chorrilleros stay in El Chorrillo. Loved the video!
@AbroadAbility I believe some of them get nicer digs courtesy of the government, and others just love El Chorrillo because they have lived there all their lives. It may not be a nice neighborhood, but it's their home.

Jazz Festival is in January
@@bradyodom5504 I will circle back to see if I can find a regular spot that might have live jazz for you since the Jazz Festival is in January.

Was it Verizon?😊
Do you need renters insurance there ?

Landlords worried about cats scratching furniture? What about cat pee smell. It is impossible to get rid of it without changing the flooring.

Ok, I'm extremely afraid of moths
@@iptalyluxurytravel-luxelife I legit did not know I was until I moved here. To be fair, I didn’t encounter these in my other apartment here. 🤷🏽♀️
