Hello my friend, well thought out with your travel with decent savings too. You did very well with the Welsh Rarebit & nice to have the salad with it. The weather was nice for you too, all in all a good day, excellent filming, lovely to see you as always take care 💜 XX
I only found your channel a couple of weeks ago and have binge watched a sizeable chunk of your videos. I love your mix of travel and food with a little bit of tourist attractions thrown in. You have one of those personalities that could make anything sound like the most exciting thing in the world.
I'm glad you made it to Wales. I lived and studied in West Wales. That was a good deal for the meal since it came with salad and chips as well as a pot of tea. The restaurant looked smart too. There was a cafe near where I lived called "Y Sosban Fach" (The Little Saucepan) and I regularly had Welsh Rarebit although served in a more basic way with no extras. The key is a good strong cheese and good quality mustard. So where to next? The Isle of Man perhaps to try the Queenies (queen scallops)? There are Easyjet flights from Manchester,
Enjoyed the Welsh Rarebit. What about coming over here to Cumbria & trying some county made Cumberland Sausage? It's a big county. We have a town close called Ulverston which is South Cumbria There is Carlisle & Penrith. Workington & Whitehaven Or the Lake District. I am thinking of train distances & how easy to get into the towns from Railway Station. If you do consider & you need help of best place & best sausage - I'll gladly check venues & get you a choice for your consideration. Cheers & keep up with the great vlogs.
A Grand day out. It's a pity our railway system is so broken you have to purchase split tickets to make it cheaper. I enjoy these adventures that mix travels and food . Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Hi from very warm Los Angeles! 27c/80f today! 🙋♀️ I've never been to Wrexham. What a cute city! You got a really good looking plate! As an ovo-lacto vegetarian, I'd deffie order that! The side salad looked really fresh, and no doubt kept the rarebit from feeling stodgy.
Wow smart by doing what I often do and split the train journey and a cheaper fare! + a super lunch for just £10.47. which is great value , a superb day put maybe one of your best yet! Awesome😊
I absolutely adore your videos, they always give me something cozy to watch with my Sunday tea. If you ever get the chance, you should come to Newcastle and try a stottie cake!
Another great video. I didn't realise Wrexham was in Wales!! For one terrible moment I thought you were going to give us a practical demonstration of the train's loo😮😮. The Welsh Rarebit sounded tasty but looked a bit like a bland calzone. Would definitely try it through 😊😊
I'm only a few minutes into the video, but I have to mention that I love your money-saving hacks. Also,I'm also loving the new daytripper-style videos. Good to keep it fresh and interesting. Wonder where you'll be off to next. I think you should come to lovely Brighton. There are so many cute, independent food places here. Watch out for the seagulls, though. They are like pterodactyls.
If you'd have been in Chester last Friday you could've got a free Gelato for the Duke of Westminster' Wedding! That would've topped the day off nicely after that lovely lunch! Another successful day out. You know you're travelling for all of us don't you, who can't get out and about? 👏💐🥰
Aww man. As a kid of the 80s... the Cae Ras (Racecourse) has more mediocre memories for me of a long trip to see Wales losing to teams like Finland! Rarebit as an individual dish is pretty rare in my experience, so well done on getting someone to make it for you. We need to talk about laverbread!!!
Did you think about getting the bus from Chester to Wrexham? It might have been a lot cheaper. What happened to all the chips, one second there was a whole bunch of them and then there were none. BTW the Welsh Rarebit looked delicious. When you had your wander around Chester I notice that you didn't get too see the Eastgate Clock. Was this intentional or not? As it is the most iconic shot of Chester, apart from the Cathedral or City walls.
Did you ever Try isle of man kippers Supposed to be the best in uk If you do Isle of man ice cream for Desert is honestly amazing And the island is very nice Safest place to live in UK Thanks for your videos
lol thanks for the toilet review hahaha liked the meal though definitely need a salad with some vinaigrette on it to cut through the fattiness of the rich cheese cheers
Potting shed in Northallerton good food Come try . an do a review . let knows if u do decide to come down .. would love to meet an support as an chat as well 😊
The origins of the name are uncertain. The earliest cited use of the term Welsh rabbit was in 1725, with the alternative form rarebit (a word that has no meaning aside from this dish) appearing in 1785.3 May 2024
Welsh rarebit is a dish you could have got in Ilkley I'm sure, but it cost you £42 to eat it in Wales, I'm thinking if you ever needed a spanish onion would you get on the first plane to Spain 😅
Some Worcestershire sauce on the Welsh rarebit would have been nice. But you had the balsamic glaze, so all good. 'Cawl' stew is another Welsh dish very similar to Scouse. Hope you enjoyed your visit to beautiful North Wales and you come back soon. Ps Consider putting the word Wrexham in the title to attract Google analytics
It's funny that American bloggers rave about the train system in the UK, when it's actually expensive and pathetic. God only knows what Amtrak is like. The rarebit looked bog standard, but the price was reasonable. Make it at home, for half the price and twice the flavour.
What food should I try next?
Comment Below 😀
Fondu in Zurich. Try the Fondue Train - Bulle.
Don't think you have done Ireland yet? Or maybe northern Ireland. 5:02
Cornwall for a pasty. Or how about London for jellied eels, pie and mash at M.Manze at Tower Bridge.
Mămăligă cu brânză, Romania 😅
Is RUclips your full time job now.
Welcome to Wrexham! At 11:59 you are standing right by the Wynnstay Arms Hotel where the Welsh FA was founded in 1876.
Hello my friend, well thought out with your travel with decent savings too. You did very well with the Welsh Rarebit & nice to have the salad with it. The weather was nice for you too, all in all a good day, excellent filming, lovely to see you as always take care 💜 XX
Many thanks!
Thanks for cheering me up. I enjoyed your video . ❤

"Bog standard toilet" hahahaha brilliant. I really look forward to your vids, always informative and good fun, thank you.
Good review. Also you did well to highlight the benefits of split ticketing. Well done.
A Grand day out. It's a pity our railway system is so broken you have to purchase split tickets to make it cheaper. I enjoy these adventures that mix travels and food . Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Thanks! Will do
Looked OK that ,thanks for letting us know about splitting tickets to make it cheaper 😊😊

Watch your travels every Monday after work. Thanks for the uploads.

How about the next trip to the Isle of Man to try some legendary Deveraux's IoM kippers?
I went to a restaurant once and ordered Welsh Rarebit and got served cheese on toast
Great entertaining video as slways.
I'm only a few minutes into the video, but I have to mention that I love your money-saving hacks. Also,I'm also loving the new daytripper-style videos. Good to keep it fresh and interesting. I don't want them stealing my food lol I'd have nothing to review
They will steal everything if you let them. Just thought I would give you a heads up because they are the chavs of the ornithological world.
One actually took a bite out of my sandwich once.
If you'd have been in Chester last Friday you could've got a free Gelato for the Duke of Westminster' Wedding! That would've topped the day off nicely after that lovely lunch! Another successful day out. You know you're travelling for all of us don't you, who can't get out and about? 👏💐🥰
Another fantastic vlog . ❤🎉
Thank you 😊
Greatly enjoyed this trip. Felt like being there!

Never been to Wales definitely on my to do list this year. Great upload by the way as always.
Wales is worth a visit for sure
Oooh yummy. After watching this, I had to go and make myself a ham and cheese toastie.

Safest place to live in UK
Thanks for your videos
Hello EIE
You work so hard. Your videos are brilliant. You deserve every subscriber. Food looked delicious 😊😊
Thank you so much 🤗
Not being from the UK I always thought the dish was Welsh Rabbit. Now I know looks yummy
Great review mate, it looked like Balsamic Glaze, which is even tastier than the dressing.
It looked very nice, we thought it was a little expensive for what it was but at least you enjoyed and it was a day out , maybe a little tiring
Yes it was!
Looks great 🖐🇺🇸
It was!
Love your vlogs but £10 for cheese on toast is taking the Mick 🤣
With such a fancy name I thought it would be more complex with some bacon or ham in it !
Foods looks delicious. but the cuppa tea it's definitely not a Yorkshire cuppa 😊
Brilliant content as usual fair play.
Much appreciated
Looks delicious they really need to serve in more places
I agree, I thought it would be at more places
❤ great review...so many people call it " Welsh Rabbit " lol
Where next ? Pie and peas with green sauce in East End London ?
Another great video thank you
I love your channel but don't know how you have the energy for all that travelling 😂
Sometimes the travelling is the best part. But sometimes not lol
lol thanks for the toilet review hahaha liked the meal though definitely need a salad with some vinaigrette on it to cut through the fattiness of the rich cheese cheers
The salad definitely made the meal better for sure!
When you go to airports or train station where do you park and how much is that, I am liking this sort of content , x
Potting shed in Northallerton good food Come try . an do a review
. let knows if u do decide to come down .. would love to meet an support as an chat as well 😊
I'd be going for Welsh Cawl and Laverbread with Cockles
Cornish
Parmo - manjaros in ingleby barwick. The best.
Go to the Isle of Man for chips, cheese and gravy the National Dish!
wow i always thought a rarebit was a rabit stew i learnt something
I didn't really know until I researched it lol
Wow Mrs Reynolds is Blake. Shame you didn't meet Fireman Sam.
The origins of the name are uncertain. The earliest cited use of the term Welsh rabbit was in 1725, with the alternative form rarebit (a word that has no meaning aside from this dish) appearing in 1785.3 May 2024
chester can be the next new distination to trvael in the UK perhaps ....😏
I have done this trip so often
Its a good trip!
You getting better at you should try Italy again
I definitely need to go back to Italy!
You should go to Calais 🇫🇷 and try Le Welsh
There's a Fat Boar in Mold which I've been too quite expensive.
What football team do u support
Welsh rarebit is a dish you could have got in Ilkley I'm sure, but it cost you £42 to eat it in Wales, I'm thinking if you ever needed a spanish onion would you get on the first plane to Spain 😅
What an adventure it would be! Flying to Spain for and onion
8:33 Is that a dirty Teapot?
Looks filthy
You really should have gone to Reggies, or Toast which are walking distance from here.
Next time!
You should have gone to the Turf pub right by the football ground
Some Worcestershire sauce on the Welsh rarebit would have been nice. But you had the balsamic glaze, so all good.
'Cawl' stew is another Welsh dish very similar to Scouse.
Hope you enjoyed your visit to beautiful North Wales and you come back soon.
Ps
Consider putting the word Wrexham in the title to attract Google analytics
Hey... Where was the bacon?
How do u keep so slim
Isnt it just cheese on toast ?
yes very expensive cheese on toast not much for what it is costing. £10.47
I love your videos… but I don’t want to see the toilet… a lot of train videos do the same 😅😅😅
Over three hours to Wrexham why is it so long
Probably allowing for connection at Chester.
You never reply to any comments!
£42 in train fares and a day of your life for cheese on toast, that's wht I call dedication. You must make a fortune out of RUclips.
If you want Welsh rarebit you're probably more likely to find it going to a Surrey gastropub than in Wales!
Tea looked like dirty dishwater
It's funny that American bloggers rave about the train system in the UK, when it's actually expensive and pathetic. God only knows what Amtrak is like. The rarebit looked bog standard, but the price was reasonable. Make it at home, for half the price and twice the flavour.
Yes but that would make it a cooking vlog DOH
