Hello my friend this video has to be one of your best !! You have given the viewer/ subscribers a little of everything. I've never really liked casseroles & stews but I have to say this looked beautiful & I would certainly try this & how nice eating at the cathedral. Lovely to see the Beatles statues too!!! Train travel quite expensive, the toilet was small but I guess the train company would say it serves it's purpose!! All in all I think it's been a good day for you!!Thank you for all the effort you put it, take care 💜 XX

The beautiful Liverpool Anglican cathedral is built mainly of local sandstone quarried from the South Liverpool suburb of Woolton.
There are 2 Cathedrals in Liverpool, joined by Hope Street.
    The other cathedral is Catholic.
The original name of The Beatles was The Quarrymen. named after the Woolton Quarry meanioned above.

Wow! What a great journey again! Firstly very impressed with the Trans Pennine Express Trains! They looked very swish, comfortable and modern, even with a small loo, at least it was clean. We hear alot about how the railway links between Northern cities are very bad, so that was a huge, pleasant surprise. You've obviously started researching where to eat beforehand now which makes sense. And what an incredible location to have a Brasserie! The Scouse looked deelish with the red cabbage and Foccacia bread. Great price too, and the train fare wasn't too bad. A great successful day out, just make sure you book a window seat! 😅😎 Cheers for another super video. ❤

Hi from Los Angeles 🙋‍♀️! Classic "June Gloom" day here. Our last bit of cool days before the Summer heat starts.
Yaaay! Liverpool!! Being a life-long Beatles fan, Liverpool is the only city that always feels "magical" to me!
You got a great meal! For a tourist spot the quality of food and price was very reasonable!
As for where next: Maybe Devon or Cornwall for a classic Cream Tea(???) Or perhaps do both as a "Battle of the Cream Teas".

Looks more or less identical to our irish stew which is one of my all time favourites 😋. I make my own almost weekly in autumn and winter. Only variation is the veg I usually use carrots, onion celery leek, but some people add in diced swede or parsnips. I sometimes add in shreedded green cabbage toward the end, but more often I use a handful of frozen peas for last 5 mins. If making at home yourself I highly reccomend 2-3 good stock cubes
beef and veg and plenty of Worcestershire sauce. The real gamechanger I find though, is a can or packet of oxtail soup for the gravy rather than gravy granules. And the best, most floury potatoes you can find! Plus lashings of HP or yorkshire relish briwn sauce 😋. It certainly does warm you up lol my family, even in winter do be having the sweats after a big bowl or plate of this 😂
Amd then looking for ice cream lol😂

Great video! It's a shame you didn't get the chance to visit the rooftop of the bell tower at the cathedral. For a small fee you take a lift two thirds the way up and then stairs inside the bell tower to the rooftop. You get to see the peel of bells inside too and you get the best view over Liverpool and as far as North Wales!

I’m glad you are trying these older dishes which seem associated with a bygone era.
Lancashire Hotpot is another similar dish & Potato Hash (with dumplings of course)
    Irish Stew, another one.
Seems the current generation of kids in the North West of England are not being brought up with these dishes in the same way their parents and grandparents were.

I love Scouse, when I am over, you need to go to Belfast, for an Ulster Fry or Filled Soda/Belfast Bap equivalent, and a Pastie Bap/supper from the chippy on the way home. Veg Roll, Champ, or Proper Irish Stew ( a bit like Scouse ). Even a Sliced Chicken Supper from a Chinese takeaway. I have never seen that over here anywhere near me!
