Of the 10 largest stadiums in the world, eight of them are home to U.S. college football schools: Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Louisiana State, Tennessee, Texas and Alabama - all of which have a capacity exceeding 100,000 people. The roots of the game go all the way back to 1869, so much of the passion and grandeur you see in videos like this has been embedded in the American psyche for generations.
Not to mention in the top 11 there’s 3 college stadiums, but 4 stadiums of the top 20 biggest stadiums in the US are in Texas. Texas A&M, Texas, Cotton Bowl, and AT&T. Texas goes all out💯
I'm Swedish and was totally new to football. My buddy was an Arkansas fan and you talked about LSU and I went to LSU vs Arkansas at LSU in 2007. Tailgating from like 7 in the morning, to an insane game, to an unreal atmosphere and then also saw LSU vs Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. Both were great but the LSU stadium and atmosphere was unreal! Some of the most fun I've ever had even tho my info is dated by 17 years. Still recommend it
As a huge Arkansas fan, I remember that game! Darren McFadden absolutely went off, that was one of the greatest games in college football history. You were lucky to be a part of history!
So glad you enjoyed Tennessee’s Dark Mode uniforms. We had several this season, including our Smokey Greys (an homage to the Smoky Mountains that are very close to campus). It’s always a fun time in Neyland Stadium.
It’s quite funny that y’all always notice Ole Miss wearing that powder blue uniform but don’t bat an eye at Oregon wearing literal CHROME or pink or all the other crazy stuff they wear 😂
Husky Stadium in Seattle is awesome. What you don't see is that is sits on Lake Washington where many boaters gather. It is a really badass sight, being in that Stadium seeing the lake, boaters, and especially the Cascades mountain range with Mt Rainier volcano looming over the whole Seattle area
It’s honestly one of the best single sporting events you can attend in the ENTIRE WORLD. 100,000 ppl split right down the middle of the stadium on the 50 yard line and both sides HATE each other. Every year it is one of the top 3 loudest games in the world by volume and they actually test it and show the results live during the game so you can see how loud it is. The game is played in Dallas but there have been multiple occasions the crowd reactions have been heard in adjacent towns miles away.
The key fact that most people don’t know is that football originated as a college game. Pro football is a good bit younger than the college game so the traditions and pageantry of the college game are more embedded into their fanbases.
I hope you noticed that the loudest crowd noise occurs mostly when the home team scores. What is great about neutral games with half the fans coming from each team, like the Red River Rivalry, there is very loud crowd noise on every score from both teams. Twice the excitement and twice the amount of roars.
After you do Gainesville, I always recommend tailgating in the Grove for Ole Miss. It is the most unique tailgating experience you'll get in the country.
For the Missouri one, they invaded the field because it was a last second winner on a 61 yard field goal. That's an insanely long kick for college football. And the flag was on K State so the kick stood. That kick catapulted Mizzou's season to go on and win the Cotton Bowl.
I actually believe the flag was a yellow t shirt from one of the fans. I was at that game so my memory may be a little fuzzy from all the excitement but that's what I remember happening
I feel like I'm literally the other side of the coin of watching your videos learn and appreciate American Football. I grew up obsessed with American football being from the states. I started traveling to Europe the last few years knowing almost nothing about international football and have absolutely fallen in love with European football too. So it's cool watching you guys gain an appreciation for the sports here and I'm gaining a huge appreciation for The Premier League and somebody the other European leagues.
I've been to all of the big collage games in my lifetime here and I'm telling you right now go to any LSU game and you will never see a fan atmosphere like it. It is the best environment in American sports bar none
College season starts late August to early September. Gainesville Florida is a good spot for y’all to check out if possible has everything a college program needs such as tailgating, bars, and a great atmosphere
Been there.....and all through the Bayou....Cajun food SUCKS....I prefer food with flavor, not a little food with my peppers. It's only one step above Mexican.
Just a warning, you can get sensory overload if you are not used to the crowds and noise. I have been to an ASU vs U of A game. The crowd sounds like a jet taking off and everything shakes on big plays.
Aidan, you are correct about Kansas not having their own stadium next season. They are in the process of rebuilding their current stadium, so they will be playing their home games at the Chiefs stadium and the Kansas City MLS stadium.
@@jesusandmeproductions9343 Yeah South Carolina has beaten Ohio (State) the last three times we've played them in football, so they're useful in that regard. That's about it.
Y’all are correct, the very beginning of the start is determined based on: - Where the team finished last year - Who is returning back to the school and who was added during the transfer portal - High schools players entering into the college The standings always shake out the overrated teams by midseason.
The teams are ranked via a poll that is basically including a bunch of criteria including strength of schedule and championships so yeah history does play a factor.
One thing you have to understand about College Football vs NFL, the College game has at least 50 years on the NFL game. They had their own stadiums to the point the NFL and AFL played in local universities stadiums before they had their own. These fan bases and alumni are deeply entrenched through well over a century of rivalries, family tussles and friendships lost due to regional allegiance. Y’all know about this with the Premier League, Champions League, etc.
The Iowa punt return at 6:00 was actually called back b/c DeJean gave a clear out sign, which according to the rules, is the same result as a fair catch sign. So it didn't count....
I was watching that game in San Antonio and his Punt return was absolutely nuts and I was laughing and screaming so loud my wife thought I was out of my mind. As a Hawk fan, and that says a lot about my suffering, we were absolutely incompetent on offense ( who knew?) all game long and a loss to the gophers was all but a foregone conclusion, and then Dejean happened and then the refs happened…..and we still had our horrible offense. For two minutes we were truly in Iowa heaven.
@@garygill6189 when the Hawks have a presentable quarterback, they can be reasonably competent. But is the reason they haven't had a presentable quarterback the guy who's been spotted in Lincoln? Or is it something else?
The crowd was so loud when Missouri made the field goal against Kansas State (even though it was only the third game of the season as you said) because Mizzou and K-State are long-time rivals, the field goal was a new SEC record distance, and K-State was ranked 15th so Mizzou got the upset.
And the year before in Manhattan, K-State totally embarrassed Missouri. Just saying. And if you haven't experienced a FB in Bill Snyder Family Stadium you'd be in f a real treat. The stadium is just over 50,000 yet when USC and Pete Carroll come to town his quote was it was the loudest stadium he had ever been in for it's size.
What's wrong with that? A team doesn't have to be #1 to be a fan of them. That wouldn't be any fun if you just arbitrarily chose a team that won all the time. Too many people choose a team and then jump ship when they have a bad season. It's nice to see someone that isn't bandwagoning for once.

The Red River Rivalry, Oklahoma vs Texas would be a good game to checkout. It is one of the biggest rivalries in the country and is always played on a neutral site, The Cotton Bowl.
the rankings you see at the beginning of the season are the Associated Press rankings, determined by the men and women who are sports writers for the AP. around a third of the way into the season, the official CFP rankings will be released, and will take over. The AP and coach's polls both become largely irrelevant, at that point. the committee decides the rankings.
As you know Kansas City is located in the state of Missouri. The heart of downtown KC is only about 3 miles away from the state border of Kansas and Missouri. Thus, the larger Metropolitan area and suburbs reside on both sides of the state line. The university of Kansas is located in Lawrence Kansas which is 40 miles west of KC. The university of Missouri is located in Columbia Missouri, which is 120 miles away east of KC, halfway between St Louis and Kansas City. The chiefs and royals stadiums are located in the state of Missouri, the soccer team Sporting KC stadium is located in the state of Kansas. It’s really confusing trust me, it’s even as confusing as, sporting gambling is legal in Kansas, but not in Missouri. Marijuana is legal in Missouri and not in Kansas. In some places you have to walk across the street to smoke a joint and back across the street to place a sports bet.
The ranking question is a good one. There are three entities that rank teams, they are subjective until around week 5, then they can count power of schedule point differentials etc.
Go to Oregon vs Ohio state this year in Autzen stadium October 12th in Eugene Oregon! Ducks fan here and Autzen stadium is arguably the loudest stadium in the country and this game will be arguably the biggest college game of the year!

You can basically break up the schedule by months with the exact dates varying slightly. August is preseason training camp. Most of the players have been on campus taking classes - so they can have a lighter academic load during the season, and have been working out, but have had very little contact with the coaches. That changes in august at the beginning of “camp”. It’s the hottest part of summer so temps are easily north of 90F/30C, so it’s tough. Oh how exciting! Love ur gonna watch a Bama vs GA game! U picked an amazing game. Although, with us losing Saban this year idk how much I like Bama’s chances with a new coach and so many players jumping ship ! 💖
Go to the Tennessee Alabama game and be sure to tailgate before the game and go to the bars on Cumberland Street in Knoxville you can walk down to the bars from the stadium!
LSU at home vs Alabama is probably the best atmosphere every year.. particularly if both teams have championship hopes. Death Valley at LSU is known for its insane atmosphere for night games.
You noticed how crazy it was game 3 of the season in the Mizzou game. It’s because fans are keenly aware how necessary a perfect record is to getting to the playoffs. If you fancy your team a championship contender then perfection is almost required.
I know someone that is a huge Gators fan. He went to the collage and has season tickets. I remember his office was decked out in everything Gators when we worked together. I know he is also a huge Premier League fan, so maybe you can barter something with him for his tickets for a game. Let me know.
There is NOTHING like a Penn State whiteout game. Especially when they are winning 😂. We had season tickets and we had a blast . We would take our 37 foot RV and have great tailgates. Good food
I’d recommend going to the Alabama at LSU game this season it’ll be great. And also tailgating is all over campus. If y’all do go I can guide y’all around.
I was at the Notre Dame/USC game that you showed. It was INSANITY and the absolute GREATEST ND game I have been to, to date at that stadium. GO IRISH!!!!!!!!
KU's stadium is undergoing renovations during this upcoming season in time for the 2025 season. So, for the upcoming 2024 season, they will play two home games in Children's Mercy Park, the MLS association football stadium for Sporting Kansas City, and the remaining home games at Arrowhead Stadium, the stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs. I'm an Oklahoma State grad living in the KC area and since KU doesn't play OSU this season, I probably wouldn't mind going to one of those games as a neutral fan!
Come to Nebraska...may be in a slump but we are still loyal fans! Sell out every home game, including volleyball in our football stadium! And we have the best fans in the land!
You guys should have watched the Colorado against Nebraska game last year. At the end of the game Colorado fans rushed the field and tore down the goalposts in Boulder Colorado at Folsom Field. It's the most beautiful surroundings in all of college football in the U.S.
Louisville alumnus here. I’m glad to see Louisville was in the video. I was at that game. Louisville has played Notre Dame 4 times since joining the ACC 10 years ago. Louisville‘s record against Notre Dame is 2-2. The very few teams have a 50% winning percentage against the Fighting Irish.
You guys are going to be massive fans of American football. The youngin's question about how are they ranked so early in a season was perceptive. I feel there should be no polls until October (4 or 5 games in). Welcome, brothers!
Let’s be honest. I’m an American who went to one of the biggest stadium colleges and often voted number 1 as loudest and craziest LSU. But I’ve seen euro football clips with ultras and tifos and more and it’s ten times more crazy than anything I’ve ever seen here in the states.
Florida State plays Georgia Tech in Dublin in August to start the season. It won't be as loud as a game in Tallahassee, but it will be a taste of a normal game.
Usually starts last few days of August or first week of September. Depending on the Saturdays and how they line up. Most teams start first week of September but usually there is a season opener a week before for a few teams to kick off the season.
Penn State. Happy Valley. Just shy of The Big House in Michigan (by only a few thousand). A White Out win is absolutely nuts. 107k *per fire marshal regulations* will make the concrete and steel stadium bounce. You can feel it move deep in your body.
In 1988, LSU stadium filled with near 80,000 fans, caused such a uproarious celebration in the stands when LSU beat the then, #4 team, Auburn, that it registered on a seismograph machine close by. Today, LSU stadium holds over 100,000 fans so, just imagine what it would feel like to be there during a big game for them! And then there’s the tailgating! It’s very entertaining and you’ll get your fill of amazing Cajun food!
Dude if you're a West Virginia supporter then I highly recommend going to a week 1 home game and hanging out in the blue lot. Morgantown is electric for football season.
Preseason rankings are determined by ALOT of statistics; Last years final rank. Offseason recruiting class. How many starters leave. Next years “strength of schedule (how hard ur opponents are/ranked). Coaching vacancies. Off-season news/discipline And a lot more. Basically every single detail of a colleges football program are analyzed to determine their preseason ranks. That’s why NCAA College Football rankings are usually so accurate even though fans hate them most of the time.
Penn State is building on to the stadium .... Will be the largest. State College not far from where I live. Williamport Pa, home of Pills League World Series
I've got an in for you in the Pittsburgh/ Penn State Area... and yes, the student section literally bounces because you aren't allowed to sit down during the game 😂🫡
Columbia, Missouri has a top 5 bar scene in the country for college towns. Football program took a huge leap this season and looks poised for a top 10 start. Definitely go to a Mizzou game
You missed the best part of the Iowa/Minnesota game. That punt return for a touchdown was called back because the returner waved his arm - indicating a fair catch. Iowa lost the game 10-12. Of course, Hawkeye fans will debate it, but the rules are VERY clear. ANY hand/arm gesture is an indication of a fair catch.
It was the fact that replay was improperly applied. They buzzed down as if desperately trying to find an excuse to overturn it, then use AN OVERHEAD CAMERA as the “conclusive” view? Yes, for all those players playing overhead, I’m sure it helped them out a lot! 🙄 Nobody on the field was confused about the signal except the overzealous replay official. On the field, it was obvious he was signalling his own guys. Again, and another terrible rule that will get written out of the rule book this offseason.

Nothing beats Arkansas when they are winning.
College football and basketball are way better than the Pros. So much more exciting.
LSU at home vs Alabama is probably the best atmosphere every year.. particularly if both teams have championship hopes. Death Valley at LSU is known for its insane atmosphere for night games.
Yep! LSU is consistently ranked #1 in the country for atmosphere every year. And 2nd in tailgating. A night game at Death Valley is other worldy.
You noticed how crazy it was game 3 of the season in the Mizzou game. It’s because fans are keenly aware how necessary a perfect record is to getting to the playoffs. If you fancy your team a championship contender then perfection is almost required.
It’s equal. College football Vs. NFL pros. But I tend to love the fire college football bring
I know someone that is a huge Gators fan. He went to the collage and has season tickets. I remember his office was decked out in everything Gators when we worked together. I know he is also a huge Premier League fan, so maybe you can barter something with him for his tickets for a game. Let me know.
Lol, Notre Dame - the Villanova of the Midwest. 😂
If y’all do go I can guide y’all around.
...😂.."ya'll"...lol
Miami at Florida on August 31st is going to have an insane atmosphere in the Swamp
Come to Nebraska...may be in a slump but we are still loyal fans! Sell out every home game, including volleyball in our football stadium! And we have the best fans in the land!
I'm pleasantly surprised by your knowledge of the college football landscape 👏
You're going to Tuscaloosa for the Georgia at Alabama game? Good luck with that mate.
I love the entrance for the Florida Seminoles ❤
You recognized Caleb impressive from across the pond lol Let's Go Vols !
You're gonna get tickets to Alabama-Georgia?
In 1988, LSU stadium filled with near 80,000 fans, caused such a uproarious celebration in the stands when LSU beat the then, #4 team, Auburn, that it registered on a seismograph machine close by. Today, LSU stadium holds over 100,000 fans so, just imagine what it would feel like to be there during a big game for them! And then there’s the tailgating! It’s very entertaining and you’ll get your fill of amazing Cajun food!
Clemson vs Georgia to start off the year for both is a HUGE game!!
Texas is burnt Orange. Tennessee is more of a neon Orange.
Creamsicle I call it
@@donovandowden1272The best orange I call it..Go Vols! 🍊
Dude if you're a West Virginia supporter then I highly recommend going to a week 1 home game and hanging out in the blue lot. Morgantown is electric for football season.
Preseason rankings are determined by ALOT of statistics;
Last years final rank.
Offseason recruiting class.
How many starters leave.
Next years “strength of schedule (how hard ur opponents are/ranked).
Coaching vacancies.
Off-season news/discipline
And a lot more. Basically every single detail of a colleges football program are analyzed to determine their preseason ranks. That’s why NCAA College Football rankings are usually so accurate even though fans hate them most of the time.
College Football Pre season games starts in August.
Got a great picture of me in the student section at the whiteout from this video.
Come to Knoxville Tennessee and watch Tennesse Vols vs Alabama, October 24th! Big game, great atmosphere! Go Big Orange! 🍊
I’m from Gainsville and definitely would recommend him coming to a Gator game
Penn State is building on to the stadium .... Will be the largest. State College not far from where I live. Williamport Pa, home of Pills League World Series
then michigan will top it again like they did last time lmao
Alabama vs UGA? Absolutely insane first college football game to go to. It will be unreal.
Wow! I’m really impressed with Aiden knows a lot about the players, the draft and all the teams! Okay Aiden 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I've got an in for you in the Pittsburgh/ Penn State Area... and yes, the student section literally bounces because you aren't allowed to sit down during the game 😂🫡
Come to Tennessee during fall for the beautiful fall colors and biggest games ❤!
Columbia, Missouri has a top 5 bar scene in the country for college towns. Football program took a huge leap this season and looks poised for a top 10 start. Definitely go to a Mizzou game
You have to also go to a playoff baseball game. Especially in Atlanta these days
Or even Philly as much as it pains me to say it
You missed the best part of the Iowa/Minnesota game. That punt return for a touchdown was called back because the returner waved his arm - indicating a fair catch. Iowa lost the game 10-12. Of course, Hawkeye fans will debate it, but the rules are VERY clear. ANY hand/arm gesture is an indication of a fair catch.
Yeah I remember cause Iowa was the last of my 3 team parlay to win $100 lol I was fuming
