Ayaneo dont do cheap, they always carry a premier price tag, sometimes it's justified but I've had two of there devices with issues, two others without issues, so 50/50 QC.
I'm sorry but that's terrible. Does matter if is a premium price or regular one QC should top notch regardless. I got one of their most expensive devices never again
I just ordered an Ayaneo Next Lite. Got it, and it turns out to have a mushy right thumbstick. These high prices are not justified with that sort of quality control.
Sorry, but the aya Neo next lite it's trash compared to the steam deck. Don't get carried away by RUclipsrs who are fanboys or advertisers of this type of devices like ETA Man they are buying Vega graphics in 2024 💀
I want sega saturn, ps2 and portability. The pocket S is the only one that will give you that. Overpriced, but ill still buy. The ODIN 2 is nicce, but physically huge.
I was following the development since the mediatek cpu change. Was really excited for a Qualcom CPU for Switch. But they missed the target as it was a 5.5 inch OLED screen initially. I saw this as a more high end pocket pro. But they went overboard in size, resolution and lack of OLED for me :/
@carloscoldebella9450 Naw, there are too many issues, not powerful, way too small, and the joysticks suck. Also, the buttons are too small, and the triggers are Meh. Just my opinion, some might agree, some won't. But to me, Odin 2 is worth its price for what you get over the RP4 Pro. Edit: I meant to say it's not powerful enough (mainly switch). But for its price, it's right on par for $175
I agree...a +$50 from the base odin 2 would be best as its definitely more premium looking.... i could see the $450 base price if it was indeed OLED though.
Wow that crazy if that price is true. I was thinking about this but I have a Asus ally rog and if I want android maybe I get the pocket 4 pro or Odin 2 pro instead of this.
I don't love that this video is based exclusively on rumors. ETA literally just posted a video today over a week after your video and mentioned how Aya hasn't given any pricing information at all. There's also the distinct problem that this will probably have multiple variants, just like the Odin 2, which costs as much as $459 before shipping for the Max version. We have no way to know what the minimum and maximum prices for this will be, while I agree that a minimum $450 would kill this, if that's the price of the 16GB/1TB model then it'd be a steal.
I dont agree with the price being too high. the odin 2 pro is 369 usd on their website. but with shipping etc. its around 425 usd for me. if this one is going to be 440 usd I think I will choose this one over the Odin 2 pro.
As much as I love the looks, I’ll stick with the RP4 pro that’s on its way to me. Can’t justify the price. With that amount, I’m better off spending some more to update my SD with the oled model or a windows handheld.
If that is the cost it is not worth it. The problem with android is, at best you can emulate up to PS2 and I guess Switch if that interests you. When you start getting into that price range you may as well buy a handheld PC that can emulate up to PS3 and also play pc games. Ayn Odin is probably the best option for Android and it can play almost anything that is possible to play through Android at this point. The Pocket S is a nice device but at that price, not competitive.
this isn't a utility market i haven't bought any of these devices because of how cheap they feel i never used my rp3+ preferring instead my steamdeck i want a premium feeling device, not some cheap plastic
This comment isn't directly related to this specific video but more of a generalized comment regarding the videos you have been putting out. I have been enjoying seeing your different perspective of how the chinese retro handheld and other devices Market has been going both with current released equipment as well as upcoming released equipment. However I have noticed A consistent perspective trend, regarding current equipment out as well as upcoming equipment. Your videos seem to generally focus on negative topics regarding any current equipment that is out as well. As upcoming equipment. One of your prior videos focused on the trigger button issue with the retroid pocket 4 and 4 pro, which I also agree, has been stirring up some conversations on reddit. And even retroid admitted they were having technical issues and have addressed them. However, in a follow-up video, you also pointed out what looked to be about 3 people having issues with potentially defective screens in their models of the retroid pocket 4 or 4 pro. In that video, you pointed out concerns. People had as well as one or two examples of clearly problematic screens. At this point, the video Leaned heavily towards a conspiracy theory path That retroid knowingly has large quantities of defective units being shipped and are more focused on collecting finances than solving technical problems. I'm not saying this is not the case at all but I am saying that the evidence you are providing is such a small sampling Of the community yet your video and others like it lean heavily into stating This is in your opinion fact versus one off instances of less than six people suffering these types of issues specifically talking about the screen problem. I generally have concerns that you may be jumping the gun and putting out lots of negative videos about current products and upcoming products without doing the proper Do diligence or getting a large enough sampling of Documented failed equipment reports, before coming to your conclusions and making what I think. Companies would consider a damning video about their products. There's nothing wrong with trying to get out there. Red flags and warning signs of problems that could be happening in this community. But the opposite could also be said where we are instilling fear and doubt across the board with a lot of these products and could inadvertently damage the market when there isn't enough logistical information available to warrant such a panic in the community. Having a sample size of less than twelve people with thousands of devices sold is not sufficient enough to raise significant eyebrows and Try to tell people to avoid buying this product. I do, however, agree that there is clearly a substantial discrepancy and always has been a discrepancy between the free sample units. A lot of the popular youtube influencers receive to promote these products and the actual customer experience and quality of goods that the end user receives just as a standard customer. There is way too much evidence out there to show that much more care and effort has been put into testing , evaluating and confirming reliability with the sample units sent These influencers VS the mass-produced units that the average consumer gets. And I do believe that is a noticeable deceptive practice but more than that. I just do not believe there's enough evidence out there to warrant. The amount of hate you are placing on some of these companies. Right now we seem to be getting both extremes. When it comes to these products, we have the extreme of appreciation and loving these products by the RUclips influencers. And we have the opposite extreme With your videos and a small handful of others stating how much they hate the companies and issues they see with them. Yet , I am not seeing A better balance between these 2 of I don't hate the company. But I definitely think there are some issues that should be addressed or be aware of if you plan on purchasing these products. And I do believe there needs to be discussion regarding how how much ass kissing is happening on RUclips with a lot of these influencers having a perfect experience with these products when you know d*** well, that is not how your experience is going to turn out. Anyway, I just wanted to voice my thoughts and observations on your videos.
"they need to be affordable" It's legit a flagship chip launching device with flagship hardware. It's going to be like half the price of an android phone. You can easily justify the price. It would be nice if it was cheaper, but if OnePlus can sell less hardware and it's fine then shhh. This is just rage bait
At that price, it's going to lose to the Odin 2 Pro if you want to stick with an ARM based handheld, or to the Steam Deck if you're okay with x86. And if you don't plan to emulate Switch or PS2, you start getting $200 devices that work just fine for everything under that. Including Retroid Pocket 4 Pro and Ayn Odin 1 Pro (which is marked down to that amount right now as I type this).
When it comes Aya we need to stop supporting this company, they are so bad with their quality but then asking for a premium price. Also they do not support their devices once is released. Ill say it till im blue in the face THANK YOU VALVE!!!
Holy crap. Well nevermind on this one. I was aiming for the retroid pocket 4 but now I'm hearing about it's issues, and retroids terrible customer service. So that's a no go. Probably just gonna say screw it and buy a retro tink 2x pro and just play on my PS2. I've invested plenty of money on the games through the years anyway. Might as well play them on original hardware.

I'm definitely going to buy it regardless of price. I'm buying it because it's beautiful and bezel-less. There's a reason Apple is the richest company in the world, they make desirable products. This is desirable and is going to sell out, this is going to be Aya neo's highest grossing product by far. You're not considering aesthetics, I would buy this even if it was $1000 and so would many other people.
Exactly . This dudes a fucking moron. I'd pay a lot more money for this because it's easily the most aesthetically appealing handheld gaming device on the market once it drops. Nothing comes close to this look. Not one valid argument in this video.
I agree it's expensive but I don't agree with your point of having a flagship chipset is unnecessary, it's crucial for a top end cpu for Nintendo switch emulation and future emulator releases. Like what if PS3 emulation is soon revealed in the android emulation scene? Then we'd definitely need a high end SOC, not something like a d1100. It might be expensive but Ayaneo never said it's for the masses but for those who can afford it and many will want to buy it like me.
Uh yeah you can. It has the best snapdragon chip available and oled 1440p screen. Easy enough to justify the price over the odin 2. How is nobody grasping this?
