I hope this thing doesn't get axed soon. Especially if they decide that "oh the veloster n is redundant since we have the elantra n and kona n here." I'd like for the veloster to be like how the 86 is to the supra.
If the Elantra N costs much more than the Veloster, which is now over $30k, no one is going to buy one.
Unfortunately 2022 might be the last year :(

This Is Manual?
I'm not a big fan of Hyundai but they did a great job with the Veloster N. I think the interior needs a little work but otherwise this thing looks so fun.
Just asking, but what do you think needs work on the interior, I’ve heard different things and was just curious, materials probably?
@@nicholas1116 Yeah, it's the materials. There's so much hard plastic everywhere and it just makes it look and feel a bit cheap for a ~$35k car, imo. For the same price range you can get a Mazda3 turbo hatch which has a way nicer overall interior but makes a little less power.
@@migaisnotacat On the other hand, the VN is basically track ready from the get go, whilst the Mz3T is anything but. Soft, awfully underbraked, commuter automatic, open diffs... And the engine is really not that fun to push, feels like a diesel.
@@WilliamLevesqueineX All good points. The Mazda3 turbo would be nice if they offered a manual at least. They're both great cars though.
@@migaisnotacat Yeah its just not really the same goal for the two cars. The Mazda's a "premium" compact sedan whilst the VN is a hot hatch.
Oh man the 2022 Veloster n doesn't get all the goodies from Elantra N. What a shame.

Interior is filled with hard plastic
That’s how they cut down the cost of the car, and besides it’s really driver focused and the touch points (where your body will touch the car most of the time) are all fairly comfortable and not too bad I believe

i've driven both the manual & dct. the dct was quicker but way more boring to drive.
