Good morning Ed, hope y’all are doing well my friend.. I was talking with my sons over the weekend and we were trying to decide whether or not to get in the hay business or plant pine trees for timber and pine straw and leaning towards pine trees even though the lumber prices suck right now. Decisions, decisions. Anyhow, it’s always good to see y’all and hope you have a blessed day.

I hope so. I was mulling over the situation with my F150, I finally decided new tires brakes fuel tank and a flatbed was going to be cheaper then buying another one not much better then it is. With my discount at work and being able to cut most of the steel to size there will help alot.
I'm moving the bales in as I make them now. What hay I'm making now is getting wrapped the days are just too short to get it dry now. I need to put the plates back on top of the feeder house on my combine, I kinda blew a fuse and the next thing I knew they were off and I was looking at the raspbars 😡🤣🤣
@@burrridgefarms hahaha, think my only needs a good greasing. Waiting on a spring for my discbine so I can lay down the last 20 acres of greenfeed. Think 30 acres may bale tomorrow afternoon. Taking like 12 days to dry this stuff down, but we’re getting it done.
I'm not surprised it's taking you that long to get it dry. Here we are getting rain often enough and the heavy dew is making it too hard. Most of my fields are tiny by your standards and surrounded by trees so shade is another factor too. One field the middle was almost too dry and the outside rounds were as green as when it was cut so it averaged out nice for silage bales😊
@@3dranchmanitoba they're fun 🙄 especially when the citiots can't figure out why we flag most equipment.. we can move the combine with a 20' header, but can't get across the bridges.
