- This video shows a no name brand Wireless-N WiFi repeater WiFi Range Extender setup and review. Now keep in mind this WiFi repeater/WiFi Extender has no brand name associated with it, hence, no name brand wifi repeater. I purchased this off of eBay for less then $15.00 bucks. Most likely made over in China or Taiwan. You can watch how I did the WiFi repeater setup and how to do the WiFi Extender installation into the house electric wall outlet.
Learn how to setup a WiFi extender in your house to get more WiFi signal strength and range out of your primary WiFi router. It does not take long to see how to setup Wireless-n WiFi repeater plus get a wireless amplifier extender (wifi repeater) to extend existing WiFi signal beyond your wireless router another 25 feet or more.
I take you through the whole process of opening up the packaging, installing it into a wall outlet and going though the setup process within Windows 10 and making a Netgear WiFi router connection on my home LAN.
This is a plain and simple wireless n repeater installation guide video tutorial for an easy extender/repeater setup. And this just could be the best wifi repeater or wifi extender for your money presently being sold today.
BTW: When it comes to WiFi repeater and/or WiFi extender just follow this rule of thumb: Extender location is the primary key to getting the best signal quality and most distance out of any extender. You might experience interference problems, for example: thick walls or floors, other electronic equipment or extender might be to far away from router...etc. Test until you find the best sweet spot somewhere mid way between your Primary Router and your Wifi device connecting to the extender. This will give you the best consistently solid signal quality from the extender.

My advise for anyone that has problems is to do this all on your phone since you don’t need to go on any websites immediately when you connect to the repeater it will take u to a place where you can connect to nearby internets !

I have a question.....I plugged the repeater into the wall outlet and I get a red light at the very top and a blinking green light for WiFi. the video shows a green solid light for the LAN.
Hello after completely the set up and getting successfully connected.
When I click on the WiFi icon for the repeater it tells me 'couldn't get IP address'

The video title says the device is a repeater/extender. You show how to set it up it as a repeater. How about as an extender? You didn't explain the difference.

just reset your wifi repeater press in a side in ten seconds.
For me it doesnt show up on available networks
But will this work if my computer doesn’t have a wireless WiFi card in it or Bluetooth? Will the WiFi repeater show up in the WiFi list? Also this product has taken over 2 weeks to ship to me and I still don’t have it
Hey Nick. What Windows operating system are you using? I am running 8.1 and it just keeps scanning and spinning and cannot seem to find my router wifi network. Any tips or help? Not sure why it cannot find my network. Thanks for your help.

You must change the ipv4 from your pc connection to 192.168.10.111
and the third option (i don't remember the name) to 192.168.10.1

We have an issue with the repeater. How can I fix an issue with this device. When I am connected the web sites I always use. The websites do not recognize me. Then they ask for me to setup new accounts. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
does anybody know where i can get the circuit board with the led lights new and good working? because mine is broken. only the circuit board but not the transformer.
All i did was run a extension cord to my TV and plug it into my TV showing it connected and receiving with a solid green light ~ No signed in, and pass word crap ~ I use it for my TV only ~ So it must connected Automatic with my router signal
Hi I followed instructions put in 162.168.10.1 but it would not let me go any further to put in Username admin and password admin.
It also says connected but not locked unsafe. How do you correct this?

I seem to be able to setup but it has stayed as an open network rather than secure with a password, anyone know why.

Your MacBook Pro supports 802.11 a/b/n and should be able to connect to the Extender without having to reset it. However, you might need to change SSID on your Mac. You can do this by clicking on the wifi icon in the menu bar > then click on Open Network Preferences.

Have you tried this? Power off your primary WiFi router/modem for 10 minutes and your computer/laptop too, then power your WiFi router and computer/laptop back on and wait a few minutes and try connecting with your computer/laptop.

The "Security Key" is your wifi password that you use to connect to your primary router with your laptop computer or smartphone.

i want it to be an repeater, so i can connect the LAN cable from it directly in my pc.
the thing is, as i go to the settings after typing in the ip address in google, i can only set it up as an access point (which needs to be connected with the lan cable to our wifi router)

Hey great video, only 192.168.10.1 isn't responding for me. Is it out of date or more likely a problem with my repeater?
Go to Start menu > right click Start menu > Go to the "Run" command line > type: cmd and press enter > in DOS window type: ipconfig > Your Default Gateway IP address is your IP address to be used in your browser to access your router.
It won’t let me on the 192.168.10.1 and says it’s protected by my firewall

Once a extender setup has been completed, that old temporary setup IP network is deleted. This is why you can not get back into the setup. In order to get back into setup again will need to perform a repeater reset by using the RESET button (press and hold for a REAL 12-14 seconds) while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. Also try moving the Extender closer to where your router is located while setting it up, then you can move it if you need to.

Strange, without this extender I have 3 stripes and with extender I have full connection HOWEVER, download speed twice better without extender!!! Why?

Try a different browser. And you might have to the Reset Repeater and go through the setup procedure again.
I’ve used google and safari but it won’t take me to the login page when I type the IP address, help pls?

Can't get it to show a green light. Always red.
I suggest trying a Extender reset and then going through my video steps again: Perform a repeater/extender reset by using the RESET button (press/push and hold for a real 12-14 seconds) while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and after 10 seconds go through the setup steps again as shown in my video.
It only works with Ethernet which I don’t have
It works with both Ethernet and WiFi.

That would be your WiFi password. During the setup the "Security Key" is the same as main "Router Password".

I have this same Wifi repeater and I have run into issues with my setup. The process seemed fine but I gave my amplified signal a name/SSID unrelated to the original network and I was never able to establish an internet connection.
I am now trying to reset my repeater to its default settings by holding the reset button but the reset fails to work every time. The new network I have created remains among my network options and I can no longer access the 192.168.10.1 setup page.
Do you think my repeater's reset button just does not work?

Your Reset Button could be broken and not working, but give this a try: Using the RESET button press and hold for a "REAL" 12-15 seconds while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. Yes, use the default username and password (admin,admin) unless they have been manually changed during a previous setup.

I bought this one about 2 years ago. It's complete crap. The software never saves the settings. I performed a factory reset about 20 times and it never ever worked. Do not buy!
