Popped round to my dads he just pulled this out a draw no packet or anything said can you set this up son? 🤦🏻♂️ lucky I found this video well done sir.
I would like to let you know that I really , seriously appreciate the effort you made in creating such a concise, accurate video without any additional fluff. After trying for ages, and giving up, I came back to this as we really needed the internet extended out to our workshop, and also beside the pool. Our mobile signal is pretty rubbish, so being able to use our 1GB fibre is awesome, even though this device only allows a fraction of the speed. Thank you so much.
Thanks, it's always nice to hear great feedback! 👍😎 You can add multiple extenders to your network as long as you don't daisy chain them off of each other. Each extender you add, will need to be connected to your wifi primary router/modem and not connected to each other.
THANK YOU!!!!! I purchased one of these on ebay, no instructions included.. I came over to youtube & searched for "wifi repeater instructions" .. your video was the first one to come up.. I followed your steps exactly as you said to do.. EXCELLENT!

Ok, I finally managed to make it work. I hope this comment will help other people. if your repeater doesn't say "open" on the wifi list, you need to reset it. To reset your repeater, hold the small reset button on the side of the reapeater for like 30 seconds (could be less but i'm not sure). Then keep it plugged, it will reset and then say "open". Then type 192.168.10.1 on chrome and log in (username and password should both be "admin"). Then proceed like in the video. Then you need to use the SAME password as the wifi you are linking it to (don't create a new password for the repeater). You will then log in to the repeater using the same password. Please thumb up this comment if it helped you.

Thanks buddy! Yes, it worked through my phone but not with any of my laptops! Now, after doing the setup with my phone all other computers can connect!;)
I can't remember. Try the password for the modem you are connecting it too. Most likely it was that one. If that doesn't work, then try the password you set up for the extender. If you have got to the point where the extender shows under wireless connections, then it will connect with one of the passwords.
It worked for me first time. I had this thing sitting around for at least two years collecting dust and this evening I thought, what the hell, why not set it up so I have wifi at the back of the garden. Your tut was word-perfect, it worked exactly as you described. Many thanks! 😁😁😁

To change configuration, you must factory reset this repeater with Reset button (hold it for +/- 10 secs until all LEDs switches off and on again for a second) and start all over. Thanks about this video anyway. Without it was hard to realize that in repeater mode this repeater must use same WiFi password that is used in router.

Thanks for this, I have two of these and lost the instructions. They are not quite the same setup, but close enough to get them set up with my new router. Sadly they are very slow when using as repeaters. Reasonable in AP mode.
Thank you so much for the video. The process for setting up for Wi-Fi was straightforward. However, I’m still struggling with setting it up for a non-Wi-Fi device. How do I solve this?
You're welcome! Glad it helped! For any non wifi device all you need to do is plug in directly into the Ethernet port on the extender. Nothing else to do. It's plug and play and no driver to install. Of course this is after setup is completed as shown in my video.
Great Video - helped me to set up my no-name wireless repeater 3 years ago. Now I have upgraded my home broadband to fibre broadband. I intended to re-set my repeater to the new network but that did not work; the devire cannot be contacted by typing in its default IP address (as shown for the initial set-up). What might be the reason? Is it possible that - once set up - the repeater cannot be used with another network?
press the reset button on the repeater - that should solve the connectivity issue; re-setting to a new broadband network works exactly like initiating the repeater for use as shown in the video
exelent tuition being off line to setup is not what you think thats what you got to do bin doing my head in trying whilst on line thankyou mate your a star
@@Bashfulhalo-ji3ik It has to be connected to the main router then you plug it far away from the main router...you connect your gadget to this extender...it will showup on your gadgets available wifi menu.
The reason the power plug was a second piece was because they are using the same unit for all regions, and usually they will make difrent power adaptors but because it's all in one the injection mold is really expensive.
Thank you for these instructions. The brochure makes no sense to me at all. I received this after answering an USPS survey through my email. They charged only for shipping - $7.95 - then proceeded to charge me $67.24, which was intercepted by my Credit Union, thankfully. According to this video the item costs $12.
Thanks for the video. I had already used a different router with the repeater, but I have issues in trying to reset the repeater and use for another router. The reset button on the repeater device doesn't seem to work. Would you know any other way I can reset the repeater?
My no-name, brandless, and generic POS of a repeater was previously owned by a friend of mine. I assume it must’ve worked at some point. Now that I have it, it doesn’t even show up on the list of available networks. I’ve tried hitting the reset but but still no luck. Any suggestions???
This works much better if you reserve an IP address from your main router for the repeater first (assuming you have a LAN cable going from your router to the device). Then connect to the device wifi (look for wifi repeater) directly with a smartphone/laptop etc. fire up a browser and enter the device admin portal address (192.168.10.1) and change the IP address setting to auto instead of server. This way it will receive an IP address from your routers DHCP and you wont have the connection issues everyone seems to have. Then make sure you change the admin password obviously and enable security (wpa/wpa2psk etc) on your SSID. Or it means anyone can connect without a password. If you screw up just hold the reset pin for about 10 seconds and start again. This device was useful to me for extending the wifi signal slightly to some areas of the flat that had blind spots and kept dropping our usual wifi.
Thank you for speaking!ď!Can't tell you how many "How To" and "Review" videos I've watched (on this product especially) that are just typed out to music. So much is lost without the human audible.
Thanks for being so slow & clear in your video, most go too fast for a newbie. I have a wireless security camera system, but the DVR isn't wireless. I want the DVR in a different room from my router - can this be set up as an AP, not just extending my existing WLAN? It sounded like it'll solve my problem - I hope - but need to know how before spinning my wheels. Thanks again!
Yes this can be setup as an AP Access Point by using the Ethernet port on the Extender. You will need to connect a Ethernet LAN cable from the Extender Ethernet port to an open Ethernet port on your wifi router. And go through the Extenders configuration for AP setup.
thanks I have one of these without instructions, I'm using mine upstairs with an ethernet out to a device, not sure about which to use wireless or access point, which is best for boosting signal?
Popped round to my dads he just pulled this out a draw no packet or anything said can you set this up son? 🤦🏻♂️ lucky I found this video well done sir.

Just connected my repeater with your help. Thank you.
Excellent!
Is it possible that - once set up - the repeater cannot be used with another network?
press the reset button on the repeater - that should solve the connectivity issue;
re-setting to a new broadband network works exactly like initiating the repeater for use as shown in the video
Thanks, this helped me get my WiFi repeater up and running. Completely different no-name repeater, but the configuration software was the same
Thank you for easy to follow step by step. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Can I use my main WiFi with it, like does it extend that or is this like another router type thing
exelent tuition being off line to setup is not what you think thats what you got to do bin doing my head in trying whilst on line thankyou mate your a star
Helpful, got my gadget setup and running after this video. Thankyou

It has to be connected to the main router then you plug it far away from the main router...you connect your gadget to this extender...it will showup on your gadgets available wifi menu.
The reason the power plug was a second piece was because they are using the same unit for all regions, and usually they will make difrent power adaptors but because it's all in one the injection mold is really expensive.
Great guide, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks this video helped me with my wifi range extender set up
Many thanks mate it works great now you helped me sort it ....cheers for that
Thank you for these instructions. The brochure makes no sense to me at all. I received this after answering an USPS survey through my email. They charged only for shipping - $7.95 - then proceeded to charge me $67.24, which was intercepted by my Credit Union, thankfully. According to this video the item costs $12.
Thanks Nick ! It was a great help!

@@Bashfulhalo-ji3ik Yeah you can use your main wifi, and this just extends the range of your main wifi.

Glad my video helped you out. And thanks for the Sub.
Great information, you made it very simple.
Thank you for speaking!ď!Can't tell you how many "How To" and "Review" videos I've watched (on this product especially) that are just typed out to music. So much is lost without the human audible.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much!!!! I got the same repeater on ebay and it came without instructions.
I've search so long thanks so much
thanks I have one of these without instructions, I'm using mine upstairs with an ethernet out to a device, not sure about which to use wireless or access point, which is best for boosting signal?
Both ways work good. Try the wireless first and see how it works in your environment.
Thank you nick i follow all what you said and it seem all is fine my wifi repeater working good.
