@nickcomputerfix you are a legend. After 3 hours of trying to connect my tp-link unsuccessfully. You saved my time. The manual enclosed within the tp-link package is so vague. Thank you so much mate.
This wifi extender helps me get a good enough speed for online multiplayer. I used to use a powerline adapter but the problem with it was that the signal went through the electrical wiring, and sometimes it would randomly disconnect. And I don't like being disconnected. This wifi extender... it isn't as fast as powerline, but on the plus side it doesn't randomly disconnect me. I get just about a fast enough wifi speed in my bedroom. The wifi extender isn't actually in my bedroom now, it's in another room so that it can receive enough of a signal from the main router. But the signal doesn't have to travel very far from the extender to my bedroom. Do I recommend it? I would say yes, but only if you really can't get a good enough signal in your bedroom from the main internet router downstairs. I needed it because my internet provider is Plusnet, and Plusnet isn't the greatest with speeds. Tip: Any closed doors and objects in the way of the signal will slow it down. Try to open as many doors as possible. And even a simple object, just move it out of the way. It won't make a huge difference but it's still there.
You're a fucking life saver brother, I already had one connected and everything, but it kept disconnecting from the actual wifi, so I reset it and this saved my life, bcz it never unconnected again and it was so much better
All you see is people thinking putting this in the place where they get no signal is gonna magically give them signal.... you put this halfway between your dead zone and the router aslong as they are in range ( the closer to the router the better but no point being right next to each other obviously). I get shit signal in my bedroom so I'm gonna put this in my dad's room which is above the router and use an old Ethernet cable I still have going through the loft into my room for the xbox. It comes later today thanks to Amazon prime and if anyone wants to know if this is any good from someone who actually knows what they are doing just comment so I can get back to you through my notifications.
Thank you so much...how easy you explain. Great work. One query : which tplink should we buy as there is many options which confuses like AC750, RE300 and so on. If you can assist or guide
It depends on your needs (speeds you want) and budget. Here are two examples: On the low end = TP-Link AC750 WiFi up to 750Mbps speeds. On the high end there is the TP-Link AC1900 WiFi up to 1900Mbps speeds.

Try a reset by using the RESET button (press and hold for 12-14 seconds) while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video.
Thanks for the video! Easy to follow. I have a question for you. My TPlink extender used to be connected and it worked great. I had it unplugged for about 6 months Plugged it back in, it saw the router, connected to it, but my computer or phone wouldn't connect to the interview. It says "connected, no internet". I don't know what else to do. I reset it twice, it shows a strong signal, but "no internet". Any idea as to how to fix this?
1) Try powering off and back on everything...Extender, phone, computer, primary router/modem. Then try connecting again. 2) Did you change ISP Internet Service Providers or upgraded your ISP plan that you subscribe to? If, yes, then you will need to do a complete Extender reset via the reset button and go back through the setup steps again as shown in my video.
Hey great tutorial, my tplink is now working perfect, thanks! Quick question; can we put and keep an Ethernet cable connected between the tplink and the router? Will that improve the speed of the connection thru the tplink.. or will not make any difference?
Good question. You can connect any device that has a ethernet port to the extenders ethernet port without any additional extender configuration/setup, except when connecting directly to your router/modem. When your extender is connected directly to your primary wireless router/modem by ethernet CAT5 cable, it can then be configured and used as an Access Point (AP) (additional setup steps required). This normally gives you longer distance, better and more consistent signal to the extender. For the long explanation and a better understanding, I suggest a Google search with keywords: what is a wifi access point. Also, it's always nice to read great feedback on my video tutorials, Thanks!
Thanks, this is great! I just bought one, I only need it for my smart TV in the living room. Do I have to do the whole set up with my phone or computer? Do I need to set anything on my TV? Please help thanks
I got it to work! Excellent connection! I forgot to ask, is it ok to unplug the device when I'm not using it? Like I said I only use it to watch TV. I notice the device gets warm after a while.
Suggestions: 1) You most likely will need to perform a repeater reset by using the RESET button (press and hold for a REAL 12-14 seconds) while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. 2) Move the extender closer to your wifi router/modem. 3) Also when setting it up, it's important to double check that you are using the correct wifi password to connect to your router/modem with the Extender during set up or you will not be able to make a connection to your new WiFi Extender or have no Internet connection.
@@nickscomputerfixi tryed moving it closer and holding the reset while plugged in but it keeps flashing. Could it have to do with the fact ive connected it before then put it away for a while then did the stuff in the video?
