It always depends on one's opinion on the idea of "means to an end", what you might think is justified or not simply represents the extent of an immoral action to which you are willing to accept that the result was better than the means by which it was taken. E.g. Take the bombing of Hiroshima, some might say it was an unjustified action, whilst still admitting that ending WW2 was also potentially for the greater good. Now, for others, they may deem the ending of WW2 as more important, it's just a different approach to how you accept means to an end.
16:05 gonna have to disagree, you dont aim a gun at anyone no matter what. always assume the gun is loaded even when its not, plenty of irresponsible gun owners assumed their guns are unloaded and accidentally hurt themselves, hurt someone, killed someone or offed themselves. this is something gun safety courses are taught, but for some reason people forget this lesson.
I'm from the uk and even i know that's the first rule of gun handling safety, 1st rule always assume a gun is loaded even when you know it's not, 2nd rule never point the gun at anything u dont intend to destroy.
My dad had a coworker who brought his shotgun at work (70s, midnight shift) to show him. He played aimed it at my dad and my dad wouldn't have it, told him off and was incessant. Dude finally relented. Later thst night it was aimed towards the ceiling and he somehow got his fingers on the trigger. Blew a hole in the ceiling. All that time he thought it wasn't loaded, and he intended to "shoot" my dad thinking it was a joke and not loaded. Doesn't matter if you know it or not. @@Vibe_Master_007 Spoken like a sleepy baby who just learned the word. Palestine is pretty unique in its link to the establishment of modern human rights laws, including the Geneva Conventions. On the practical side of things, Israel is uniquely entangled in US foreign policy - something non-babies can detect without much trouble. So whenever the US govt makes a foreign policy decision that could impact the status of Israel in the region, that policy decision is heavily shaped by that relationship. Those decisions (which extend to Pentagon budget planning) then have a ripple effect on a whole bunch of other relationships. Guess what's at the center of it all: Palestine. I usually agree with Asmon's takes, but I feel like there's important nuance missing here. The ruling class are the ones making the rules and they always will be. If these rules happen to be unjust, or contradictory, or hypocritical, then the people living under those rules should be able to let it be known, and some level of discomfort or annoyance is most likely required to start that conversation. Yes, the people breaking rules are committing crimes. However, if they didn't, the ruling class would simply ignore their criticisms to keep living in the world they crafted for themselves. Talking about it would definitely be the best solution, but politicians have ignored the will of the people for years in favor of industry money, on both sides of the aisle.
Their critism is ignored anyway and their political enemies weaponise the footage of their violent behaviour, the moment you start breaking stuff, you're written off by everyone whose life you damaged. I think being justifiable or not highly depends on which side wins. For example, if US didn't win the world war 2 after bombing Japan, the bombing would have been the evilest thing in the human history. The same goes for Palestine-Israel, until the winner is decided, we can't really know which side is more justifiable.
That was on both sides. Regions with loyalists tarred and feathered patriots and vice versa. It also wasn’t encouraged ( to my knowledge ) by either government.
As far as land invasions go, the British sympathizers on mainland America (the colonies) were equally as agressive once the war kicked off. It was also a way more sympathetic cause, as the people were protesting new laws introduced that negatively affected their own livelihoods. Nowadays it is "what benefits me?" Not "What benefits my community and family". People have different priorities and wants. Just because someone doesn't go out of their way for your cause however isn't inherently evil. Too many people, too many conflicts. Too many causes to carry the flag for when times are tough, money is tight, influence and support is sold to the highest bidder. You gotta take your victories where you can get them. So I can't really fault anyone for not giving a shit about another countries problems when they are worried if they can make rent or not.
Technically anything that contradicts our laws and morals is unjustified. But when morals and laws contradict each other and without adequate law changes, violence is inevitable.
Sorry Asmon, you are assuming and the arrogance on some topics is insane. Billions of people have existed and yet you think you have it figured out. I’m sorry but your view is also your OPINION.

28:39 hamas is a recognised terrier organization in pretty much all of western world since forever. Even other Arab countries banned them or palestinian "refugees" to enter. Queue Egypt being reluctant to open boarders back in autumn
yeah because they went ahead and caused MAJOR issues for their hosts when they did take them as refugees. jordan had an assasination attempt happen on the king by palastinians as a matter of fact.
Mate thats because Egypt is a puppet state of thr U.S. the overthrew thr democratically elected government and put in Cici whos the son of a Zionist. So the will of the people isnt represented by the people with power
Say that it's bad optics all you want but the reason it's hard to spend too much time condemning Hamas is that the pro Israeli strategy is all attack all the time to the point of throwing out talking points and running away before they can be pinned down taking some moral high ground. It's not fruitful to sit on a defensive pro Palestine strategy, one lady tried that in this debate to limited success. Condemnations would make a lot more sense if the other side would take a second to condemn the actions or their leaders on their end also but that's the opposite of what's happening, why should only one side be asked to condemn violence
Because when someone is systematically annihilating you, you fight back. Native Americans weren't the savages, for example. Yes, they scalped people. Gee...they did? Oh no. They're terrorists. No, they were the victims. Ethnostates should NOT exist.

@@thunderlord5434 Under 5000 people in gaza/israel have died since February , the conflict is clearly coming to a close now that most of Hamas is dead, If Israel keeps going after clearing Rafa then I'll consider it a potential Genocide but so far it seems like they're just trying to achieve their justifiable military aims, according to Hamas' numbers last I check 8,000 of the 38,000 deaths were Hamas militants, that means that 1.5% of the civilian population has died while 3/4ths of Hamas combatants have died, This again makes it clear to me that Israel isn't trying to target civilians, at least not from top down. That being said, on an emotional level this conflict makes me feel horrible the idea of innocent civilians dying, fleeing their homes and waking up not knowing if they'll die that day is truly tragic, my emotional side and my logical side are at war with this conflict.

Hassan was right to call the Hamas condemnation masturbatory. This was what, 6-7 months after October 7th? We were 30-40k dead and a decimated Gaza at this point, but any time anyone talks about the ongoing situation it's always "But why didn't you condemn Hamas just now?". It doesn't matter what some rando's perspective is at that point because we're past the point of conversation. Are we gonna have conversations about if Nazi's also felt like they were being genocided? Conversations like this go nowhere. Actions are what are needed. And going on debate panels with Piers Morgan and literal Israeli-paid propagandists to try to have a cordial discussion does absolutely nothing for the cause. People are dying in massive numbers.
You could have a clear plastic gun and see for a fact no bullet is loaded in it. It's always loaded, always.

The ruling class changes based on who is voted in, multiple countries have pretty significantly changing governments in recent times. We in Poland just did that, the party at the top sucked so hard that their grip on the country cracked. Why? Because people voted and with no need to riot and attack each other

They cut out crack head barbie. I guess YT didn't like it 😂. Glad I got to see it though
Funny how that part of the world is called holy land, yet it should be called land of war, as that seems to never stop there
I think it’s geographically cursed. Either occupied by one empire or another or torn apart by internal squabble. Should probably be a nature reserve for the world that doesn’t belong to any one nation, sort of like Antarctica.
@@jasongaylard2547 except it already has people living there
The same knee that killed George Floyd is the same knee that is killing protestors. Videos of many student who shared their experiences said that the police put their knee on their neck…
It's a biblical thing but yeah it's got a lot of blood
I’m all for Disney to take over the entire region and turn it into a huge amusement park.
Hassan was right to call the Hamas condemnation masturbatory. This was what, 6-7 months after October 7th? We were 30-40k dead and a decimated Gaza at this point, but any time anyone talks about the ongoing situation it's always "But why didn't you condemn Hamas just now?".
Piers had Hasan on back on October. Piers was already grappling with "proportional response" at the time. He knows Hasan's position. Piers agreed at the time that Gaza was an open air prison.
24:00 Destiny is stupid though. He knows almost nothing about the Israel-Palestine conflict and thought he could debate people who are among the most acclaimed scholars of that region. He learned the subject in 2 weeks and was talking to people who spent decades writing books and researching the subject.
34:00 Also, just about every major protest inconvenienced civilian life - from the American Revolution to the Civil Rights movement. That is the reality and the reason why people do it is because it's effective. People only start paying attention once it starts affect their life. And Conservatives have done this too, so I don't know what you're talking about?
54:00 If international organizations all say this is a genocide, then it's a genocide. Talk time is over.
58:00 You're wrong. Israeli's overwhelmingly blamed Netanyahu for the Hamas' attacks and the escalation that followed. Two-thirds of Israeli's want a ceasefire with Hamas, which Netanyahu and his administration refuse to do.
