The fact that you guys pause it to laugh so you don't miss what's being said is why I always have mad respect for you guys. Comedy has certain timings. Super important for delivery. Pausing ruins those.

@@PLF... I agree. I understand the reasoning for pausing (It'll get blocked for copyrights and you don't want to miss anything). The downside is, if you pause too much, some of those pauses are going to be in the wrong spots. The joke will lose it's flair, and you'll never be able to get it back.

I was in High School when Chappelle's Show was airing. You couldn't go more than a cpl hours on any given day without hearing like 5 quotes in the hallways. It was so mind blowing at the time. My dad would crack up so bad at some of the skits, never seen him laugh so hard at any show besides Monty Python.
I showed this to a coworker and she was in tears from laughing so hard!
A classic. Chappelle is an absolute genius. Even if you are offended, it is clear that his comedy makes the world a better place for all. He is the most inclusive comic that I see not trying to avoid the most difficult of topics.

This skit is still hilarious. What's crazy is seeing this now and then watching Chappelle's stand-up (I forget witch one it was.) He mentioned that he was once called into the network office and was told about not using the F word for gays in the show. Now going back and watching this with the N word, negative term for Latinos and episode still airing to this day, with no or very little negative push back at all. I ain't saying, I'm just saying..... Certain people need to lighten up. 🤷🏾♂️😂😂

Exactly. There's an element of racial jokes in almost all of Chappelle's skits, but the purpose is to make fun of racism and point out how dumb it is, while also crackin' jokes on everyone based on stereotypes.
I swear the only people offended by stuff like this live in their own racial bubble and don't interact with people from all walks of life.

Underrated Chappelle's show skit! I think Dave and Neal Brennan were the only writers on the show, at least for this type of original skit. I think it was partly done so they were the ones who took the heat if somebody raised their hand about the topics.
Idk if they were the only, but definitely the main writers. Between this and the Black White Supremacist bit, you know they must have been tight friends to write those lines

The genius of Dave Chapelle is he forces us to see and hear just how primal and reactionary we are about racism. Comedy is not just about humor. Every ancient culture had theater and clowns as a shamanism. To heal and/or to “make a point”.
Comedy can be a form of activism, therapy or educational purposes.
Racism can only be answered by a mutual understanding of evidence and history.

This was 2004 when it came out I was Overseas in Iraqi we watched this so much in our Platoon it help us so much with Comedy I was on my 2tour of Duty there. It still so gd seeing stuff like this in 2022 to make ppl laugh. Remember when this came there was no SM no YT yet No FB no cell phones yet. I just discovered Dave Chappelle 6 months ago at 67 .My son asked about this video and Clayton Bigsby and he was shocked that I wadnt seen them. I have alot of catching up on Dave's shit. The black hostages part on his special was hilarious. Terrorists don't take black hostages because they're bad bargaining chips. Go Dave.

You three are on my main watch list. The man on the left on my screen is my favorite. Dave is funny as shit, my Dad was one of the best. He did stand up comedy and sang Frank Sinatra songs at his friends bar. My mom thought he was out selling life insurance to the Italians over on "that" part of town. Dad sang better than Frank. My Dad would torture me by putting on mini shows because my friends loved him. He'd say get off me you just like my jokes and singing because I let you dilenquents smoke the guano in my basement. Jesus Christ Dad it's not bat shit it's Ganja.
He smoked with us on his 50th birthday and we had a bet on how long before he passed out. He made it a half hour.

We had a comedy off drinking and smoking the green in my brother's garage. I told this joke to win. How do you tell that your best friend has turned gay? Because his dick tastes like shit. Too much ? Three men found a lamp and all rubbed the lamp. The Genie made an exemption and said he'd grant all three one wish but they had to obstain from doing their favorite thing for 24 hours and if they accomplished the test they would receive their wish. All three were walking down the sidewalk together to see who caves first. The Italian says I'm just going to pop in for one slice of pizza, that fucking Genie ain't around. He bit into the pizza and poof he was gone. The Rabbi and the gay left and kept walking suddenly out of no where the Rabbi spots a nickel on the sidewalk and he couldn't resist so he bends over and poof they're both gone.😊 I could go on for days. The Chappelle show was so awesome. There was so many great sketches that were cutting edge. One of my other favorite skits was the Mad Real World... Hoboken... LOL. It is really funny as well.

One of my top three all-time favorite Chapelle skits. What a play on words, at the beginning of the show he was explaining how the N-word was just a word, and explained that “imagine if we used it in a different reality“ he He is still by far the most genius comedic in his time
