Fantastic video! I main Merc and it's the only class I play honestly and I love seeing people work at the merc in different ways! Thanks for the information provided will definitely try to incorporate your ideas in my merc build!
completely understandable! Depending on your budget, ragegaming has more approachable set up with 5Ls. I did cover an iteration with ryslathas prior to my HoWa build video which comfortably does T16 +4 difficulty maps which I did Xesht 3 showcase with as well so you can check that out. I levelled to 95 with that build so it's in my opinion very solid!
A note for the last clip regarding the glass cannon build, in PoE 1 i've played plenty of them, and thanks to your last video I have great damage for ubers, but I can also take hits from them. I'm almost lvl 96, thanks to how tanky the build is, running 36% deli T18's :)
Lol you’re builds are the goat man, exactly for the reasons you explained why that guys HOWA build makes no sense in practice Looking forward to more videos have a good new year
Hi! Do you think it’s viable to play a Lightning Crossbow build as a Gemling Legionnaire without relying on expensive uniques like Astromentis? Also, how can the build be made more defensive? What are your thoughts on stacking armor, evasion, and strength for better damage mitigation?
I'd imagine this could work on gemling but I've not played it yet so I can't say for certain. Armour is one of the weakest defensive layers right now, it could work but given the pathing to wild storm/pure power you will be stretched really thin if you opt armour. This build revolves around HoWa which stacks dex/int, so if you want to stack str, it's a completely different approach which in my opinion will be significantly less damage. However, if I were to approach str stack gemling on lightning xbow I would use the chest with iron grip, scale 1% proj damage per 2 strength and start from there.
Hi, Could you please record a video showcasing a budget build option for the HOWA gloves that you think would be optimal for clearing content? Additionally, could you explain more about your weapon swap mechanics, including the specific bow and quiver you’re using? It would also be great if you could highlight which nodes in the skill tree are prioritized for this weapon swap setup🙌

Bro, you have an interesting build. Just the cost... Monk Invoker, for a much lower cost, does about 5 times more damage (and 5k ES+ 4-6k overflow ES) Withhunter is a class that can be assembled for 50 exalts to farm t15 +4, to farm for a normal build. I consider further investments in it pointless.
I think gonna start to build this. 30 divine orbs is enough to be at least half of your dps 😅? I mean, to start with something decent, without that belt (is imposible for me for now). Im lvl 89, I have doubts if this can really work in my case.
yes for sure! with a rare belt providing some resistances, you can gear a little more freely on your other gear pieces for a little bit more attributes which realistically not cost more than 1d a piece. You can probably hit 350+ int with that to begin the build and work towards the belt!
That guy who was talking about your HOWA damage sounded very very insecure. Even if his damage is better, normal well adjusted adults don't act like that. lol. Probably a loner with no social skills irl. I looked at his build before, his one costs a lot more. In fact, top comments on his post were about the cost. At least 100div to start with or something.
You can grab only HOWA and 2 trash 1 exalt uniques and do x10 more dmg BUT on gemling, because witchhunter sucks, this ascendancy needs some heavy buffs/rework. Weakest ascendancy in the game rn.
@@st4lk3rxoxo best thing to do if you disagree is to just leave it at that. no need to stoop to his level and sling mud back. also its in his name im sure he goes around trying to ragebait people
@@OHTASISAN dude, I'm saying nothing about the guide, it's good, but witchhunter ascendancy needs a buff, it's obvious. Like, invoker has resistance ignore from crits in literally ONE node, this is already stronger than 4 nodes on witchhunter ascendancy. It's so unbalanced.
I mean while that guy was negative, I feel like your taking it personally instead of just accepting that maybe he just genuinely just thinks your damage is bad, which tbf it is compare to his damage, its not like he's saying your build is bad and his is better, he's not advertising his build in your comments. Also aren't you kind of doing the same as him? Assuming his defense is bad and all. Maybe it is, but if your gonna say your defense is better, i expected to see your build tank the xesht mechanics, instead of manually dodging them, because i can't tell how defensive your build actually is if you just manually dodge everything, your defense might as well be the same as his as far as i know, and after viewing some of his xesht videos, i see that he has 3k es and around 1.9k life which is quite defensive, and he also stands and tank some of the xesht mechanics, just from that i feel his defense is better, because i can see his build taking damage and not dying, i don't know how defensive your build is if you refuse to tank hits.
Defensively referring to prototype's mod which says: Armour also applies to Lightning damage taken from Hits More applicable for the damage you'll take when mapping as opposed to bossing! e.g. arbiter has no lightning damage so it doesn't matter. Xesht only has esh nova aoe for lightning Most of the time you'll be fine but mana siphoners, lightning damage from hits / gain as lightning maps etc. will be extremely rippy for the build given that you will not be getting any armour. If I gear mainly for pinnacles, prototype is definitely the way to go to do most damage! Just need to have a dedicated character and gear set for it :)
@@aer0planegaming781 i mean i just watch his scuffed breach mapping video, he was straight up running into pack and packs of mobs, includiing ones with lightning damage, his es was basically perma 3k. from my experience on the endgame of poe 2, damage is far superior than defense, as mobs in general even on super juiced deli t18 breach rares dont have even 1 mil hp, unlike in poe 1 where rares can go in to the hundreds of millions of hp, and have enough damage to instant one hit you if you dont have proper defense layers. as such in poe 2 killing everything instantly before anything touches you is a valid defense, just because no map mobs have enough hp to actually be able to hit you, his gem setup also has electrocute which in the video was basically instantly electrocuting everything including rares. Also even if he has no lighning res with doryani he has a 5k hp pool, where most life characters only have 2k, thats basically 2k life pool with 60% lightning resistance, also from his post he said he had around 85% evasion which isn't nothing, as he is using grim feast and it is the strongest defense spirit right now, as long as your not one shotted grim feast makes it so you can't die basically, and with a 5k ehp pool and 85% evasion and also instantly electrocuting everything, i imagine his defense is more than good for mapping
@@thethinkerhmmm completely understand where you're coming from and at the end of the day it comes down to build design! I have acknowleged that it works extremely well for bossing in which case I highly recommend this approach and you may be right that it works well for mapping too, but not one that I have tested out! If you're at the crossroads for build choices, you are free to choose whichever based on which you think suits your playstyle! :)
Personally played doryanis with double -48 ventors with all other positive rolls as Galvanic Shards Witchhunter and it was REALLY bad. Armor is a fake stat through and through so it makes no sense to go anything of the sort. Sure your damage is big, but you are so squishy, almost anything will one tap you while you are investing in miniscules amount of defenses. Also, the videos that he has posted are in fact VIDEOS, not stuff like livestreams where he showcases the build or anything. A lot of people showcase just the peak points and the best damage outputs in certain scenarios. Sure you can make a glass cannon "Uber bosser", but it will get one tapped in current maps in many scenarios. It can definitely map sure, but it won't be efficient and they will be stuck at a low level even if they do get some exp. Experience is very punishing in poe2, so it will be very aparent that his characters won't be higher than lets say 93-94.
