Pokhara is better than Kathmandu because : 1. there's no pollution and it's less chaotic than Kathmandu 2. Kathmandu has UNESCO World Heritage sites but Pokhara is rich in natural wonders 3. Pokhara overall has a very chilled and relaxed vibe. Kathmandu is more energetic and busy. You can visit Pokhara all year round. However the best seasons are spring, autumn and winter. During summer or monsoon season Pokhara receives heavy rainfall, and this might put a damper on your plans
