Sherlock definitely isn't finished, one of the creators (Steven Moffat) said he wouldn't be surprised if they made another season, and on Google it doesn't say '2010 - 2017' it says 'Since 2010' and considering Benedict avoids the sherlock question, along with the fact Martin Freeman said he'd join the show again if the quality was still good, ladies and gentlemen, we have hope for another season
I’d love to think so too but Benedict and Martin don’t really enjoy to work together, Benedict seemed annoyed to even just look at Sherlock related questions and even if us fans would love another season to happen I think it‘s more probable that the series won’t go any longer sigh

he is one of the best actors ever. he plays Sherlock Holmes amazingly and yet when you watch an interview of him you don't see sherlock anywhere cause he is so different from Sherlock Holmes .He managed to play someone he really is not alike at all amazingly
He seems so polite and humble and all the things sherlock is not at all and he managed to perfectly take some of his own characteristics and put them exactly in the right moments in sherlock when there is a need for a crack in sherlocks facade and a need to show a little bit of vulnerability without showing too much .
And the fact is im in love with them both omg he is literally nothing like sherlock but i love them both so much ughh how can this even happen-

You should listen to some of the greater ones telling what it takes to perform a complex role both believably and entertainingly, sometimes painfully. Of course actors are more recognized, they are literally working with their faces and character. Appreciating them does not mean one is not thankful for the people you mentioned, you're comparing apples to oranges. Also I'm sure a lot of those "real workers", after a hard day, like to lay back and watch a good movie with their favorite actors, because you know life isn't just the basics, your mind needs some kind of entertainment too, which makes our lives to be more than day to day living. In this way, acting and movies, etc. can contribute to well-being too. It may be that not every actor deserves the attention, but who the hell decides that? Surely there are a lot of "real workers" who would turn out to be the same assholes as some actors, lot of them only doing their job because they need money and not because they care about people. And trying to diminish a person by pointing out their lower education is not too realistic. There are a ton of people out there with Phd.s that weirdly has nothing to do with human intellect, and who would be owned by some of those "uneducated" actors.
"...those shows are broadcast using technologies that the actor doesn't even remotely understand." Why would that be required? Are you familiar with every aspect of every piece of technology that you use? It's like saying that in order to paint something great in Photoshop I have to understand the coding behind the software.

Most of the celebrities are genuine and honest in the roles they play. Like Benedict Cumberbatch, the reason he played Alan Turing was as he wanted the world to know the story of this great man which not many people knew about. Not all celebrities are like that nor do we want them to be but they are who they are and every one has some faults don't they?

I think it’s more likely just issues with the production of the series. The reason they ended season 4 as they did was because they just didn’t know whether they would be able to get the actors all back together again for more seasons, because they had become so big. It may be that he can’t talk about new seasons bc of contracting issues etc. Because it left on such a strange note.
