Hi Scott nice video. I come accross your video on FB. Please excuse my gebrish mechanic. I have 07 w906 campervan. Fuel consumption is killing me I average about 20mpg and I run to some EGR problems every now and then so I have to take it out and clean it. I understand from your video that on 07 it is a straight swap? What is the gains in fuel consumption? I really appreciate your sharing this on a video a lot out there keep their trade secrets 😉.
Hi Fuel consumption not really high on my priority as I’ve fitted a huge turbo and bigger pump elements, not really used it yet as the dash is out retro fitting air conditioning, it’s also getting turned in to a camper, will report back once it’s in daily use
@@Scotty66 thanks for the prompt response. I will keep an eye. I would love to see a video of you driving it and just explaining the gains as to conversion Vs stock. I am puzzled :) lol
@@patbrennan9708 I have a brand new standard clutch in it, Im busy mapping it, at 1.5 bar of boost, without any black smoke I can get it to slip the new clutch, ive dialled it back a bit and its still ridiculous lol I need to find an uprated clutch that wont break the bank
@@ohnoitisnt dismantle clocks and tape a few bulbs lol, managed to clear the centre part with a diagnostic tool. Doing another van soon with mechanical pump, with the help of a mint sparky to iron out all the dash problems, will do an in-depth video on that one
Been using it as a camper for about a year now all good, went back to standard pump and turbo to try and get better mpg annnnd its exactly the same lol, fuel consumption is killing me, think im going to sell the whole set up and go back to a standard 4 cylinder.

@@makaveli7771 I did about 20 miles on stock pump and turbo with the boost cranked up and it was ridiculous to the point it destroyed an old clutch…
Do egr and dpf delete 20mpg is already not that bad but you will be getting around 30 with a delete
can it be done just by software or will it involve Hardware tinkering :). I have Xentry if it helps :)

6 speed C class, depending on your G wagon the gearbox you have will fit, check my G wagon rebuild videos, one had a 606 and the other a 605

Cheers, they go in the earlier shape van but I think the inlet manifold hits the bulkhead so needs a bit of modification to the bulkhead

how does abs and esp work???how about analogue alternator vs lin alternator,rear axle ratio mhhh,i would like to see it on the road
I haven’t figured the abs and esp yet, alternator works fine. Ratio is fine, 60mph is around 2500 rpm
What was the esp (and any others) fix in the end? Disable via obd somehow? Or drilling bulbs lol@@Scotty66
