I saw them at The Orange Peel in Asheville North Carolina. 1st of 3 times I have seen them. I have that banner up on the wall to this day. I love The Sword.
Spotted Kyle and Bryan walking around after their set at Orion Festival. Stopped 'em and said how much I enjoyed the set and shook hands. Nobody else even knew who the fuck they were. It was a thrill. I love this band. Best thing to happen to me since I found Metallica in spring of "86.
SEVEN YEARS!!!! WHAT THA? Anyway, I love the SWORD 🗡 One of my favorite aspects of this band is that they sound great live. Sound quality of a live show is as good as studio if not better. My other favorite aspect is that Kyle is the living embodiment of Skwiskar Skwigelph of Dethklok
I hear ya bro, but these guys aren't capable of making a bad album or song period! Nobody has carried the Black Sabbath torch like these guys and quite frankly, nobody will. The Sword is on top of there game right now and when they came back home to Austin to play there last show of the tour I was there and it was fucking awesome! Granted, the new stuff isn't as gritty and raw as the 1st couple of albums but bands evolve dude. If bands don;t evolve they usually don't last. I F'n love this band
Now I know who to blame for the album having such lazy-ass guitar work. Not enough solos, not enough layered ideas. Definitely The Sword's worst album. Having said that, it's still an amazingly awesome album on its own.
This album is so disappointing and underwhelming. Where are the memorable riffs? There is next to no urgency, energy, or hooks and the D&D lyrics are now comical- "She wore a cloak of feathers and rode a mare of purest white, A silver chalice in her hands." LOL. Listen to How Heavy Is Thy Axe, Fire Lances, Iron Swan, Ebethron...these are riffs! Tempo changes...F-ing metal. The first two Sword albums slay the last two. The production quality of Apocryphon' is great but the songs are average.
Discovering these guys was like discovering Black Sabbath all over again for the first time.
This interview is enthralling.
The best and most consistent band in recent memory. Every album kicks ass.
Entire discography 😱
discovered this during my flight to australia in 2012 and i havent turned back from the sword ever since. new album used future kicks ass!!!

Saw them on 12 12 12 at the El Rey where I saw them for the first time on the Gods of the Earth Tour. One of the greatest bands on the planet.
Lovin the Rush and Red Fang shirts guys. Can't wait for the new album to hit
Love this band. Very good album. Buy it, as well as their older ones, and go see them when they play your town. \m/
Amazing album sonically and musically... I love this album. 👍

There needs to be a proper documentary on The Sword. This is the closest I could find.
Raw. A great edition to their out of this world fucking catalog of music.
J.D is so cool he wears shades inside

Dude I love j robbins, jawbox was and is a badass band, same goes for early sword.

Red Fang shirt! :D
Holy shit j robbins from jawbox produced the sword? Now thats awesome.
is about the making of the album, not the video.
That's what I thought too...I guess it is :)
Not exactly a making of video is it, it's an interview.
This is beautifully awkward
demiurgo...arcontes
Is that a Depeche Mode shirt I see?
good band, whats the problem

Hey man don't blame J alright, that guy has been in several awesome bands including jawbox.

yeah its too vocal driven needs better riffs
I'm not a fan of anything past warp riders, three is the charm for the sword.
