Single Leg X Guard Basics

SINGLE LEG X BASICS //
In this video I am discussing the basic control principles of my favorite guard, the single leg x guard.
The single leg x guard is often perceived as a submission oriented position. Although single leg x is a submission oriented position that is great for leg locks, it is also an incredible guard.
As leg locks continue to grow in popularity in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community it is important to understand the basics of the single leg x or ashi garami position.
In bjj you must first learn the control of a guard before applying the sweeps and submissions.
