My guess is that this is the reason why we don't see too many Italian knife fighters. They were all killed off fairly easily and quickly.
I heard it’s cause the people that are masters at it don’t teach outside Italy. I think it had to do with them fearing people would cheapen the martial art like this. What you’re saying about this is like judging the skill of samurai by some guy with a katana on RUclips

Actually the sicilian knifefighting tradition has some of the most potent and effective stiles of knifefighting/duelling that I have ever tried. Far more nimble and faster than most philipino stiles.
But this is non of them.
Search for the Santamaria style and you will see what I mean.
