I agree 100% about the cover comment. That is the exact reason I have yet to buy one. I bought the pillow ball blocks, and rear hub carriers from HR. Real nice pieces. I don't need the differential carriers, but I want them. That's why I haven't gotten any.
I agree about what you said about hot racing not including both have of the diff case. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw that either. On the other hand they do make some very quality material
My v5 center diff, as I was running it after work one night for about 15 min, when I brought it to me and hit the break it was as if I had 50% brakes and sounded rough. I picked it up and the bottom was HOT with a little smoke coming from it. Scared the crap out of me. The center diff is being warranted out due to the front bearing when assembled was not in the bearing slot but shoved down in between the u behind the slot and was melting the bearing holder. So upgraded that part to aluminum. Only 1 of the 4 arrmas I have were the previous versions and it's the notorious 6s v4. The typhon 3s v4, first the servo went out (warranted) took 2 months to get due to back orders, after repair, 2nd run motor seized up, another 2 months of waiting. So 2 runs in 4 months. Now waiting on another servo, new chassis "which have no clue how it cracked on the side by motor wire clip" bought my grand son a typhon mega 4x4 he wanted for his birthday and as he was running it the wheel came off and passed him up. I laughed because I've had it happen not tightening my lugs, but when he brought me the wheel it had the hex and hex nut still attached to the wheel. So it was a missing pin in the wheel out of the box already. So many Arrmas I like but getting a bad taste in my mouth because i dont bash and for some reason I'm getting the poor QC ones. And this can burn you out. Not a fan boy but the other brand I have has held up to everything I've trown their way.
Ahoy! Fellow EXB owner here, who has blown up a rear diff or 2.... just a minor correction. The OEM rear diff is an open diff, not an LSD. The LSDs do not typically have issues. It is the open diffs that have shim problems, primarily due to the cupped diff case causing the shims to bend. Consequently, this results in play developing between the sun and spider gears on the cup side of the diff. Once you replace it with an LSD, these issues go away since the LSD uses plates (as I'm sure you know). Anyway, happy bashing!
Yeah I’m not sure why I said that in the video LOL the whole thing has been going on for so long and it’s been broken for so long waiting for the limited slip differential I just miss spoke. I have been running a locking spool in the back of this thing forever because I was waiting for the limited slip to come in but so far it’s been holding up well and I like the way it handles.
@@BarstoneRC I was running the locker spool as well for a while!! Hated the way it handled, sadly. I tried several shimming methods, all of which eventually failed. Hi mate. If you have problems with front drive shafts popping out again just take the washers off top and bottom that go between the arms and the Ball hub's. It fixed the front drives popping out for me.

Maybe worth the money. I have run Arrma’s for five years now. Rarely have a problem other that THE REAR DIFF! Even though I shim and even don’t bash that hard. Thnx!
The DIff cases helps because they do not flex on landings the plastic will actually twist and then you will lose tolerance with the gears and start stripping them these differential cases do not bend so everything always stays where it supposed to. And all the tolerances are a lot better.
Hi buddy, nice upgrade and clean build!! How does the rear LSD diff holding up for you? Before installing the Alu Diff housing/gearbox, do u have any diff issues on it?
