First, please accept my condolences on the tragic burning of the Stock Exchanage. Seeing the resurrection of Notre Dame gives me hope that some similar restoration will be possible in Copenhagen. And now, on to today’s video! I have recently begun the practice of beginning my day by spending about 90 seconds (literally) in watching a morning RUclips nature video by Dominique LaLonde, who films quiet vignettes of nature in Quebec. It’s like starting the day with a moment of self-care and it sends me into my morning routine with a light heart. And I take pleasure from noting that you are quickly gaining viewers on your triumphal procession to 100.000! As always, thank you, Diane.
Beautiful glasses. I really get good vibes from your videos and still go back and watch the old ones. Thank you for making these. As a mother of a 6year old I hope to pass on your can do attitude to her.
I feed a stray cat, wild birds and hedgehogs and have two cats that I adopted that were stray too. My cats cuddle up to me - so that’s my self care every day 🐈🐈⬛❤️
Another week/end that my plans have gone pear shaped but never mind. I find myself again, miles from home in my brother's house while he is unexpectedly poorly in ITU. It's my mission to make sure he comes home to clean sheets, some nourishing food, some flowers to enjoy and his favourite seat and table cleared of stuff and unfinished worries. Thanks for the company and good energy as always, on this cool, sunny Spring morning. My mission is to walk in Epping forest and walk in a dappled bluebell wood to restore my frazzled soul.
Thanks, Diane. I'll be cuddling with my almost-14-year old Belgian Malinois, Freyja. She has used a wheelcart since January 2020 due to a tumor on her spine that caused paralysis in her back legs. She was given less than a year to live; she is still thriving and I am grateful for her every day. Extra pets and snuggles today!
Self care: Spending extra time with my cat, smelling the flowers, and putting some really nice lotion on my feet. As usual, thanks for always reminding us to take time for ourselves.
My self care mission will be to continue something new I’ve learned: massage your ankles for 3 min before bed for better sleep. It’s been helping me and my REM sleep has increased. ❤
1. Spend time with our 2 Great Pyrenees sister dogs and our cats. 2. I’ll make a list for Mother’s Day and my birthday which is the Friday before Mother’s Day. 3. I am putting thick cream and socks on my feet to soften them. 4. I am enjoying the colorful petunias I have planted in hanging baskets outside. Lisa Anne Dupree 🙂🌻🦋
Just love these cosy chats I’m going to give my dogs an extra grooming session they enjoy it They get excited when they see the grooming bag 😂 then it’s a deep warm bubble bath for me
Self Care #4 - I'm leaving for Holy Mass momentarily, I will smell the altar flowers! Nothing in my yard has quite bloomed yet, but very close! Thank you for all the motivation and encouragement.
Face mask, painting nails, doing a hair mask too. Walks with my doggies. Fed the birds🤩Got plants for planting for our Mothers who are so special and my list! Yes smelling the flowers! Hibiscus 🌺
Awww, Sarah Kay... so many memories! I had my second grade notebooks covered with Sarah Kay paper, and I remember the time my mum told off my dad because he didn't bought the exact same paper to cover my new notebooks so as to make them match the others I already had🤣 He just went to the stationary and ask for Sarah Kay paper... Bless their souls!
Planning to get rest this weekend. Self care consists of facial, nails and hot cup of tea and a good book. There are so many flowers and trees blooming right now, smells so sweet. Especially my plum trees. Hope you have a great week to come. Peace to you.
#1 my cat has decided this for me...she runs to greet me when I come home and comes often during the day to sit purring my shoulder. I call her my therapy cat because when my husband was recovering from chemotherapy sessions, she would sit on him for hours.
Miss you on Wednesdays for cleaning! As for selfcare challenges, I am sending out invitations this week for a virtual Mother’s Day tea party. My mom and her sisters and my cousins are spread out between California, Texas, Illinois and Indiana, so, it will be nice to sit “together” for a cuppa on Mother’s Day. Also, glad to be reminded to go to the farm store and visit with the little chicks this time of year with my granddaughter. And I love turning a garden “chore” into a self-care challenge: buy and plant black Cherokee tomato plants…can’t wait for fresh homegrown tomatoes this summer! Rah rah rah ❤
Oh my goodness Diane, loving these Friday chats!!! You are there chatting away and I’m having a full conversation with you!!! My children think I’m mad but they know not to interrupt if I’m with Diane in Denmark!!!! This gradual decluttering is working a treat!!! Thank you Diane xx
Hi, Diane, thank you for sharing, love the memory lane… mine is different, because I’m 69 now, but remember all of these stuff because I’ve younger siblings. I choose number 3 and 4. Missing the Danish anemones … I took a ton of pictures of them! But we’ve already white roses: long time ago we brought some sticks from Finland and now we’ve some big bushes, smelling so nice and we gave other sticks to neighbors and friends literally around the world. This year we’ve the earliest blossom ever, though Finland has to wait to June… I caught a heavy cold in Denmark and now people are teasing me with my spring bathing… but I’m sure, that was not the reason and I felt very comfortable. A bubble bath will help my poor nose, and I’ll take a cosy crime and a juice with me and enjoy recovering. Next week I’ll visit the library and look after Andrea Camilleri, I think, I’ve never read a book of him so far. In Denmark I picked a crime of Anna Grue in our holiday house, I quite enjoyed NØGLEN TIL MORD, but prefer the Dan Sommerdahl series. Congratulations to all your besties and hat off for Sue's plan of swimming from Denmark 🇩🇰 to Sweden 🇸🇪 🎩! I know the route oh so well from the ferry… Love, Monika❣
Self care missions: set up bird feeder outside my kitchen window, make a list of mother's gifts I would like to have, get my nails done, go outside every morning and drink my coffee. I am retired and it always help if I "have a plan" for my day.
Thank you Diane, it's been a rough week. My Mom fell and had significant injuries. Needless to say, my plans for the week were turned upside down. Listening to your video while changing linens and getting caught up on home blessing. You are a comforting and supportive voice in my ear. And I did keep my mammogram appointment even in the chaos. 😊
I did it!! I did the ironing!! And only one week after I did it last time! It’s a Diane-in-Denmark-miracle! Thank you Diane for your constant encouragement, this Friday chat is just long enough to help me catch up with tasks like this. 🎉🎉🎉😊
Love these chats! Miss you on Wednesdays but appreciate all you do to inspire and motivate us. I accept all 4 missions. #1 We have 🦮so walks, hikes, puppy playtime, and fun training sessions are a given. Always looking for new places to take him or things to do together. #2 First grandchild is graduating high school 🎓on Mother’s Day. Plans made! #3 I’ll be using some bath salts that I’ve had for a while.🛁 #4 Will make a point of visiting a local rose garden with hubby.🌹This is a prime time to see the roses, and I’ve only been there once in the 19 years we have lived here! Wishing you a lovely weekend.
My husband just invited me to go on a flower walk around our yard with him. He is the gardener and plants all these pretty flowers for me as well as lots of yummy vegetables. He showed me all the flowers that were blooming like daffodils and tulips and many other perennials. I can't wait for the lilly-of-the-valley and the peonies - my favorites. He picked me a lone orange double tulip that didn't get nibbled by the deer. I have it on the window sill above my kitchen sink. He also picked 6 morel mushrooms that will be a nice spring treat along with the asparagus he picked earlier in the week. Don't you just love the change of seasons?
Hi Diane! I never know what to ask for Mother's Day, but I'm going to make a list now. I will be 57 in June and making a wish list for that too. They will be surprised if I suddenly know what I want. 😂 Thank you so much again for all your inspiration! Have a nice weekend l! Katja ❤
Thanks for another encouraging and upbeat video! I’m going to do my needed pedicure with the mindset that it is self care not another chore, spend time in our backyard enjoying the flowers and reading and with the dog who loves to get to go out there.
Thank you Diane for a fabulous video. You always raise my spirits. You are such a lovely person. I know how much work must be involved with producing these videos and you do it for nothing else but guiding and encouraging us all to make housework enjoyable.
I a hope the Stock Exchange can be repaired. I look forward to Friday chats. Your guidance has changed my approach to cleaning. My life is so much better.
❤ Thanks again for your videos; they are so helpful. I am really surprised at how many donations I've been finding during our declutters. This week, I found a new charity that was thrilled to receive a challenging donation that was too nice to recycle. I threw in a bedspread, towel and the bathroom products we decluttered this week as well. For self-care, I'm already enjoying the rabbits, squirrels, Bufflehead ducks and the scent of lilacs as I walk through the park and around neighborhood and am on the lookout for the goslings that will be hatching soon. #3 and #4 gave me ideas for future projects.
I would love to go outside to smell the flowers, unfortunately we had sleet and snow this week so it will be awhile before we see any flowers. The sun did shine finally today so I did get out for a walk, it was lovely to hear the birds chirping , maybe it's a sign that we will finally get some spring like weather. Massage and dental appointments next week.
Thank you for your self care ideas! My hubby and I are big bird enthusiasts and we find such joy in watching the birds. Also a great reminder to stop and smell/observe the new spring flowers starting to burst open. Have a great weekend!
I feed scrub jays and woodpeckers peanuts everyday---if I'm late they come look in my window! I also have a hummingbird feeder. I really enjoy watching our birds! Thanks for the reminder to enjoy nature each day😊💖🐦
We have had an abundance of bunnies in the neighborhood and enjoy seeing them every morning. The birds are out in abundance singing and the squirrel antics are the best! Animal watching wins for me this weekend.
As I’m watching your video I’m sitting on my patio listening to the little pond waterfall, the birds, and watching my dog who is supervising the lizards and birds. 😂 Ahhhh…I agree that nature is so calming! 🌿🌸
Great self care missions Diane. I think I’ll be able to do them all. I’m so lucky to live in a natural environment. I can take my coffee outside and enjoy being surrounded by birds and trees. Have a wonderful week Cheers Wendy 🇦🇺
#4. My self care for the past few weeks has been to have a Screen Free Friday. I turn off my laptop and cell phone when I go to bed on Thursday evening and turn them back on when I wake up Saturday morning. I absolutely love it! Now this week I can add in going on a wildflower walk with all that free time (I'm self employed and will work every waking minute if I don't force myself to stop).
I love watching the birds come to the feeders. I even saw my first woodpecker eat at the feeder. I plan to add more food this weekend and enjoy watching them.
Thank. You for your support. I am working on the yard and am going to enjoy my morning coffee in the sunshine. As well I have invited my sisters who live an hour away to come for Mothers Day weekend. Keep smiling. Janet B
I love Louise Penny mysteries. Cozy mysteries set in Canada. Self Care mission: Visit the goats. Carl Sandburg's home, an American poet, is National park nearby. Carl Sandburg's wife was a goat farmer. Descendants of her original herd are part of the park. I love to go and hanging out with the goats. You can sit with them and brush them.
I’m so glad you continued with the Pom poms. I thought I remembered you saying you were going to give those up in the name of simplicity and I was so disappointed. It’s crazy how much the pom poms mean! So glad to see them. Thanks for being such an encouragement.
My feet could stand some lovin' this week! 🦶 It's time to take the winter socks off! So sad about the fire this week. It's tragic to see a piece of history and culture disappear. Sending love to Copenhagen. 💕
Dear Diane, i am so glad that i discovered your youtube channel a few years ago. I now go swimming in the lake regularly and clean from week to week according to your plan. You decluttering also motivates me. Thank you for taking so much time for us users and motivating us every week. (i am also learning english with you by the side)
We’re enjoying a grey, rainy 🌧️ day in Texas. I’m working in sourdough, cleaned the chicken coop right before sunrise to avoid rain, and now have a nice relaxing morning to tidy up the house. Maybe watch a movie later. 🎉🎉 happy Saturday
I completely missed Monday's video! Decluttering was in the bedroom today in advance and still have more, so will see you tomorrow for that. Selfcare was sitting outside in the spa in the dark watching the sky, listening to the wind in the trees. So good.
My self care this week is to smell the flowers. I dried some wild violets and anemones, cut grape hyacinths for the kitchen and also some lilacs ~ I don’t typically cut the flowers in my yard but I’m loving having them inside
Took a mental health day at work today and have had a fabulous time! Full of self care and things I enjoy. Grateful for a day that is just for me. Thanks for the encouragement Diane 💕
Thank you for bringing the sunshine, Diane! And may I say how fantastic your arms are! It must be all that swimming! I shall polish my hooves this weekend. X
I am watching to see what all you have in mind. This is a ton of fun! I like to have self care by puttering in my garden, collect some blooms that are on. Enjoy a walk in our woods. And just having quiet time. It is lovely. Have a grand weekend!
Diane, after counting all of the cleaning products and sprays and potions I had been using to clean my home 🫣, after I moved last week I really took to heart how I can use ONE product for almost everything, as long as I keep up with routines and zone work. Thank you for reinforcing that, especially that we don’t have to have what you have, or the “right” cloth, etc. Things won’t require “deep cleaning” that of course I would have always avoided, just hearing that phrase makes me want to run.
I’ll take 3 of the challenges this week 🙂 1 - bought oats to feed the ducks at the park 🦆 3 - bath & pedicure 🛁 4 - always looking for flowers to sniff! 🌸
Love you Diane. Doing ironing atm as I listen to you! We are having a big Irish celebration here in Australia for the first anniversary of my dear Son in laws passing. John was only 51 and left behind my bereft daughter and 6 wonderful kids. It’s been such a terrible couple of years. I’m just so glad I found you and all the light and care you bring into our lives. Enjoy your super busy weekend. Forgot to say I’m going to see GREASE the musical in Sydney tomorrow night- certainly self care there full of laughs and singing 🥰🤗
Holly Hobby was one of my favorites! Self care this weekend is organizing myself after recently getting home when my hubby was unexpectedly hospitalized out of town. Also lots of cuddles and walks with our puppy!
When I was in Copenhagen this past week, I DEFINITELY stopped to smell the flowers :) they were so lovely in the botanical gardens and all around the city. Finally back on track after being away, apartment is clean, and going to work on some decluttering and put all the items that need to get out of the apartment together. Have a wonderful weekend!
I couldn't get going this morning so decided I would watch one of your videos while I put the clean sheets on my bed. Voila, it worked. Thanks for the inspiration. I will go out in nature this afternoon (finally a sunny day, although cool) and smell the flowers. Thanks, Diane.
Pampering for me and my house plants. I found a wonderful , pretty, watering can for easier watering. It has a nice handle , a long thin spout and was a weekly special at Aldis....$4,49. I love it no more spots or spills. Came in several colors but I selected black. ❤
Oh wow! Got mentioned 😮 😂 on this video! This week on vacation and enjoyed 2 Roosters 🐓🐓 (Ben and Jerry) crow every morning at 6am. Plus, follow me around the gardens, as they were extremely friendly. Plus, took lots of time to look at flowers 💐 go for hikes and enjoy nature. Thanks for reminding us to all do that.
Pretty in Pink today. I'm going to invest in a bird feeder and probably do a nice Spa Session with a simple mani-pedi. Planning on picking some wild flowers when I take a walk through the woods
Love your pink scarf tied in a bow. Pretty and fun. For Mother’s Day I always ask for flowers to plant. Big bonus if they hang around and help me plant them.❤
Update: Hubby, pup, and I spent early Saturday morning wandering the rose garden at our local community college. Gorgeous roses, gorgeous morning. Thank you Diane for the kick in the bahookie to do it! Later we took pup to a park to chase the ball and ran a couple of drive up errands. Returned home to enjoy an omelette breakfast on the patio. Great start to the weekend. That’s 2 of 4!!!😂❤
I was actually planning a self-indulgent bubble bath before going out for my son’s birthday dinner in Manhattan tonight. Also I believe i will use my 5 gallons of birdseed to make hanging bird ornaments for everyone i know for Mothers Day. Thank you for the prompts. Rah! Rah ! For you & all of us!!!!
I'm decluttering my garden at the moment, we're turning everything inside out. But during the video I made my breakfast warm, meal prep from yesterday, and a bit of pupa!🎉
I plan to get a pedicure. As the seeing eye person for my 18 year old Pug, Sparky, we will be spending time outside taking short walks. A friend and I will be attending a local play with a friend. ❤
Hi Diana. I will do self-care missions 1 and 4. I found out this week that I love to sit directly on the ground outside. I feel so calm. I don't have flowers that have a smell but I do have 2 plants in my garden whose leaves are very lovely to smell - Lantana and Turnera Ulmifolia.
I've done my time in nature today looking at a white cherry blossom tree going for my eye test next week declutter my shed will give my feet a soak as self care have a lovely weekend ❤❤
I just started following you at the beginning of April and have washed all of my windows in each zone so far. Just the inside but I did it! Thank you for your encouraging channel
Oh Susie462!! I'm JUST the same!!! It's like tying up your shoes - get them on and tada I'm off working and getting things done! Diane's voice is EXACTLY the same. If I don't want to do something... Just stick on a random Diane video and I'm there!! #anotherpavlovsdog xxxx
Hi Diane! I’ve been cleaning out closets and finding donation places to take the items. I cleaned my back and front porches. I’ve got so much accomplished! Rah, rah! ❤
I am a plant lover,so today I watered and cleaned up some of the plant “droppings”. I also spent a few moments decluttering my closet. 10 things gone! We are having a bit of a cold spell 40 degrees after 80’s yesterday, so now I’m wrapped up in a blanket. Glad you mentioned the schedule change because I thought I had lost my mind. Happy weekend!
I love your videos so much. They are so inspiring. I finished 4 of the 8 mending/ hemming/re-working jobs. All the by hand items done so the sewing machine items will be next week.
Hello Diane! I am shocked to hear about the Stock Exchange. I hope it can be restored. I have fallen off the wagon recently but my self care for today is taking a bubble bath! The I shall go through your missed videos and try to follow. Always a pleasure, whether decluttering, cleaning or self-care. Inspiring. Thank you.
My self care this week will be my nails. I DIY with gel builder, a skill I taught myself during lockdown, and I'm going to find a new audio book to listen to while I carry out my tasks throughout the day. ❤
First, please accept my condolences on the tragic burning of the Stock Exchanage. Seeing the resurrection of Notre Dame gives me hope that some similar restoration will be possible in Copenhagen. I will be 57 in June and making a wish list for that too. They will be surprised if I suddenly know what I want. 😂
Thank you so much again for all your inspiration!
Have a nice weekend l!

Thanks for another encouraging and upbeat video! I’m going to do my needed pedicure with the mindset that it is self care not another chore, spend time in our backyard enjoying the flowers and reading and with the dog who loves to get to go out there.
What a great idea to plan something enjoyable after something you had to do that was stressful or hard!
I've been feeding my local squirrel hazelnuts this week and he(or she) keeps turning up for them and looking at me through the window! 😁
Self care #1. cuddle the cat. And I"ll be out working in my flower garden so it will be a mix of work and "smelling the flowers".
Thank you Diane for a fabulous video. You always raise my spirits. You are such a lovely person. I know how much work must be involved with producing these videos and you do it for nothing else but guiding and encouraging us all to make housework enjoyable.

I'm going to do something with animals, I volunteer for the local shelter.
I had some quality time with my cat Missy, who loves to sit on my lap and purr .

Always love to hear about life in Denmark. So sad when fire is destructive.
❤
My feet could stand some lovin' this week! 🦶 It's time to take the winter socks off! So sad about the fire this week. It's tragic to see a piece of history and culture disappear. Sending love to Copenhagen. 💕
Hope Sue has a very Happy Birthday 🎉🎂
Thanks for reminding us...self care doesn't need to be the spa!
The lilacs are blooming in my garden - they smell gorgeous!!
Self-care Mission 1: At my daughter’s this week and enjoying the bird feeder she has on our window!
I’ll take 3 of the challenges this week 🙂
1 - bought oats to feed the ducks at the park 🦆
3 - bath & pedicure 🛁
4 - always looking for flowers to sniff!
Thankyou Diane. You are always an inspiration. Have a lovely weekend.
Big bonus if they hang around and help me plant them.❤
I'm making some bird cakes for feeding the birds that visit our yard and smelling the flowers!!!
Thanks Diane! Such a bright spot in my day. Feels like self care just listening to you❤🎉!
Buffing my nails daily to keep the shine on them is my self care project.
Self-care, took a walk with my husband this weekend. We both really enjoyed it.
Self care. Strength training workout and a good cup of coffee!
Love watching and listening to your videos as I do my own declutter. Thank you for all your hard work!!!
After more and more decluttering I already feel lighter. Still a way to go but I see and feel a difference! Thank you! 🤗
Hi Diana. I will do self-care missions 1 and 4. I found out this week that I love to sit directly on the ground outside. I feel so calm. I don't have flowers that have a smell but I do have 2 plants in my garden whose leaves are very lovely to smell - Lantana and Turnera Ulmifolia.
Missed you on Wednesday. Thanks for another lovely chat. ❤❤ have a lovely weekend
Great tips for selfcare, i Love Love Love our nature❤❤❤
I've done my time in nature today looking at a white cherry blossom tree going for my eye test next week declutter my shed will give my feet a soak as self care have a lovely weekend ❤❤
Wish you all a wonderful weekend💖
Happy weekend! I hope you're having a lovely one. Thank you for the inspiration - it always makes my day to see your latest video.
I'm getting a massage this week & that will be my self-care
I love your videos so much. They are so inspiring. I finished 4 of the 8 mending/ hemming/re-working jobs. All the by hand items done so the sewing machine items will be next week.
Thank you ferry much! And have a fine weekend 🍀
I will be outside smelling the flowers as often as I can 😊
Working in the kitchen as I listen to the this week's videos.
Inspiring. Thank you.
Love Ellery Adams. Her retreat mystery series is my favorite. Also Laura Childs. I like the twa shop mysteries.
My self care this week will be my nails. I DIY with gel builder, a skill I taught myself during lockdown, and I'm going to find a new audio book to listen to while I carry out my tasks throughout the day. ❤
You always brighten my day and inspire me to be kind to myself and others. Thank you!!!❤
Oh I love it, Go Buckeyes! OH!
