As a skinny young pakeha boy I was privileged to be part of a school haka group it instills passion, history, balance and precion of movement it was an honour and it I still get goosebumps when I see it
The way the haka is performed sets the platform the individual performance of each player tells me their understanding of the haka and who they represent its how I judge whether or not we win or lose the game
It is so awesome that the whole All Blacks machine has total respect for the haka. You can see the pride and commitment they have for it every time the team performs it before the game. Plus it doesn't matter which one of the two is done, the idea behind them are both the same. Bringing out that belief in yourself to do your best for the team. That transcends race!. It has even been led by Ritchie McCaw numerous times. Kia kaha Kapa o Pango. Because there will be those idiots from here in NZ that will try to question it.
why aren't British people allowed to have the same fervour for their heritage, their traditions? Why is it that if they do they are called - far-right?. Are these amazing people performing the Haka any different? Are these people far-right? Just asking questions.
Tell us what you love about the Haka!
The goosebumps I get
Like you guys, I come from a proud rugby nation and this is the only thing that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
The wairua I feel while watching it performed, humbling ❤
The tradition forever lives on no matter where we are. 💙💪💯

Interesting, I like how NewZealand peoples embrace the indigenous culture.

Tribalism is alive and well in New Zealand 🇳🇿 !
It was literally the NZ anthem for decades, at least before God Defend NZ which came out in the 1970s.

What, do you mean like Morris dancing? Should we stick a maypole in the middle of Twickenham? Send Joe Marler out with some bells on his ankles?
