Today on the Daily News You Can Use, Ray and Zach are joined by Marcello from Toyota World. Tune in to learn more about all things Toyota! - Развлечения
He didn’t like that comment from Ray ha ha but let’s be real. That’s exactly how the Toyota fanboy sound.
😂😂😂😂he really looked offended😂😂😂😂
I live in Australia and I am still trying to work out why I watch this.
LOL 😂
Toyota Trucks are probably fine outside of the US
Me too
Cuz USA USA 🎉 lol it’s good info
We love a good doomsday story....thats all they dish out
Really??? Toyota is handling the Tundra recall well? This dude is a stooge. As one of the 100000 people who was affected by the recall of a 70k truck I see it differently
🎯
I read where that dealers won’t even take the new Tundras as trade ins because the issue is that big. This guy sounds like a fanboy, Toyota does all these great things according to him, but their image is stained with the emissions scandal and now this with the truck engines.
@stevenbesson8988 yes it's true. I ended up trading my Tundra...the engine was the icing on the cake..the wind noise and rattling windows and speakers drove me nuts..the dealer had no fix for even that. I went to a very large dealer that said they would wholesale my truck and gave me a decent trade in. I just went back to Chevy
@@chrisroy1613 he's a Toyota salesman... We are a Canadian RUclips channel that keeps track of the automotive industry and have sent this guy several emails to interview him because what he is saying is nonsense
I went by my local Toyota dealership yesterday. It looked like a handfull of new vehicles near the building, but the used car lot was totally full. As a 20+ year Toyota owner it's sad to see what Toyota has become.
Toyota pulled the plug on marchelo
@@jerryconner4851 five years after Covid and they're still used cars on the new car show floors! they are hiring high school kids as car salesman! Don't tell them you pay cash. You will never get a car!
That's the way our local Toyota dealership looks too Jerryconner. And when they do have something new they will not budge on the price at all.
I wish they would just make old carollas (like 2000 era) and charge $16,000. They'd be 90% of new car sales
Dude looked offended when ray called him a fan boy 😂😂😂😂
It's unprofessional and disrespectful to invite someone on your show and say something like that, especially knowing they work for the company. Stick to facts; don't call names.
Im sorry but did the toyota world guy say modern engines need to be complicated to be efficient and reliable??? What?
I have had the experience of owning a hybrid and regular gas toyotas. Regular gas toyotas can last over 20 years. Hybrid repairs out of warrantee will cost more than the value of the car so you cant even give them away.
Electric Cars are a POS. Hybrids are 1/2 a POS. I prefer my cars with no S!
The money saved on gas owning a hybrid does not offset the huge cost of expensive repairs@@pedlpower
$1199 Doc fee? Crazy
try florida highest in the country
Waiting for an opportune time to get into a Tundra and get that lifetime warranty with unlimited loaner trucks in case it breaks 😂
Your right again Ray, Toyota boy all the way!!
He at first got a little defensive after Ray's comment, but then Zach lightened him up again.
Ray, if the grandchildren don't work out we have a room for you in Arizona.
Lol, he got so upset with what pops said. I love when these types get uncomfortable
Methinks Marcello is whistling past the graveyard out of economic necessity. No flame. It is what it is. Thanks guys.
I almost bought a Tundra but waited; glad I did. Now I learn Toyota shafts the dealer tech pay for warranty repairs and this is putting customers with warranty claims at risk for shoddy work. No longer interested an any Toyota product.
I thought all dealers shafted the techs?
@@picklerix6162
Dealers and the Manufacturers. Most Dealer Techs are flat-rate (look it up if you don't know what that is). The Manufacturer will pay the Tech about half the time it takes to do the job. The Techs are just trying to make their mortgage and put food on the table. Judging by your comment, you know this too.
These engines are GRENADING by themselves due to design/manufacturing issues. They power some of the most expensive vehicles Toyota sells worldwide. That is the huge issue. We are not talking about window switches or software issues. This is extremely serious. It is affecting the vehicles resale values and even their trade-in possibilities.
I just want car makers build basic models without new technology. I don't need new features and new technology, I just need a car that don't have new problems coming with new technology. But car makers can charge much more with new features. And they can make more money if the cars need service.
then go buy a base Corolla or a Mitsubishi Mirage. That is the closest you are going to get.
@@Xander1Sheridan
They still have the new CVT transmission. I want a car with old auto transmission engine that can easily last 20 years.
@@artfquinn all new Mazda's still use 6 speed transmissions, Also, all their models use the same engine too that's been used for years now. To top it off, they look very classy and they provide the most bang for the buck IMO. If you're looking for cheap, the Mazda3 base isn't too far off $16k. I recommend checking that out.
@@Pradation
This is why I highly likely switch to Mazda from Honda to avoid CVT when I buy my next car.
@@Xander1Sheridan
Mitsubishi Mirage has an unrefined engine. Corolla uses CVT engine. I don't consider either.
And Toyota is still playing with hiding cars in different lots so they can say cars are selling quick NASCAR track in Phoenix AZ is one of those locations
Lol you must be a Dodge Chrysler jeep junk box fan boy 😂
dude thats bs!
@@justsomeone6835Toyota may have had reliability in the bag, but Dodge/Ram have way better bang for your buck and more power and luxury. I don't have a dodge but I'd take one ANY day over a Toyota.
My BS meter was working hard with that Toyota guy. Now that they're the biggest automaker, we're supposed to accept they naturally make more mistakes, and by the way they handle their mistakes better? For years the Toyota gang got their jollies from calling other automaker's vehicles POS. Now they got caught with a bunch of recalls, lying execs, falsifying testing, and can't meet dealer and consumer production demands; and we're supposed to believe it's because their cars are complicated and have hundreds of thousands of parts and this should be expected? Well all cars are complicated and have just as many parts as Toyotas, and other makers handle recalls just the same as them. Let's just face it, Toyota's got problems right now and they're building some below par cars and trucks, when they can build them.
Nothing but BS.
Right now Toyota is burning through a lot of hard-earned brand equity and goodwill created over the past 40+ years. Having said that, it doesn't seem that Toyota is much concerned.
Denial.
dude, the rest of the automakers are now sucking. Toyota is back with the pack, but that doesn't nor mean all of a sudden the rest of the automakers are perfect. They just all suck now.
Pretty sure this guy knows nothing, including having a video about new 2025 grand highlander claiming how a new change would be an available bench seat....I posted in comments how he seems ignorant of how it has always been an option on limited trims....and he deleted it. Seems he would rather spread wrong information than be corrected lol.
My Sequoia is still going at nearly 300k miles. No problems. 😁 They keep trying to buy it back from me. Likely to sell one of their new POS vehicles to me. When did they get so lazy with their vehicles?!
I tried to buy a 2025 Camry, but supply was limited and below MSRP pricing was non-existent.
Toyota dropped the ball here. Toyota is becoming Ford.
The wait time for Toyota isn’t a sign of surprising demand - it is the sign of a grossly mis-managed company. Also the reason for the increased prices, increased recalls and bad engine choices. Went with Subaru recently instead. Much better value.
love my outback. workhorse of a vehicle. good quality build for an affordable price.
Toyota chooses to have the demand. They are focusing on the rest of the world. It's 100% intentional.
Subaru has a terrible rear suspension design. It lands itself to corrosion that really complicates rear bushing and bearing replacement from a technicians viewpoint. Heat and beat for hours for repair. Anywhere in the rust belt, do not go with Subaru, you will find out.
@@georgeanddaddecker7563 Have owned multiple Subarus and liver in the Midwest. Perhaps I have been lucky but have never had a problem. Owned my last one for thirteen years
I am a big Toyota fan, but I will be buying used ,I am not going to spend big bucks for new cars with too much tech.
Bad timing is NOT the same as Bad Trust. This was not handled properly by the industry benchmark for Trust in the auto industry. Toyota should not replace a proven engine V6 with a high rev V4 with a turbo in these large suvs and trucks.
No V4s in those trucks. I4s (Eye 4s) in them. ;~)
Within a month of the Tundra’s November 2021 release date, an engine blew up and they continued to blow up thru all of 2022 and all of 2023. It wasn’t until April 2024 that Toyota acknowledged the #1 engine bearing issue.
Is that the higher level timeframe that’s been Toyota’s forte?
you asked for it ,you got it ,toyota
I have been a Toyota 4Runner customer for decades. I recently bought a Mazda CX-90. The interior, exterior, and the fit and finish are Lexus quality. At a much lower cost! It even comes with a inline 6 cylinder engine.
The local Toyota dealership in SWNM has a boat-load of Tundras and Tacomas as far as the eye can see on their lot - and a couple Rav4's & Corolla's. If a buyer wants a Camry or Prius, they get put on the LONG wait list. Long meaning 1 1/2 years minimum wait. No thanks.
What BS Toyota destroyed its Truck market .
Probably by design 😢
they see people love them so they marked them way up.

60 grand sienna… 45K for a Prius! 9% interest rates What will you do when the baby boomers run out of money?
We be broke now
Most baby boomers aren’t interested in new cars. They’re about to hit 70 and are just going to keep their vehicle until they are unable to drive
Bank of Canada overnight rate is 4.75%. They just lowered it by .25% in June and at least one more decrease is expected this year.
As far as interest rates are concerned, Ford Canada has anything between 0-3.99% through Ford Credit on depending on model and trim. Some 2025 models are at 7.99%+ but they'll come down eventually.
Canada always just seems like a different world in terms of availability, very odd.
Agreed
Yep. And it’s like that with everything lol. Need a CT scan, wait 2-3 months for one 😂
Being a Canadian channel that monitors the car market up here and DOES NOT WORK for any manufacturers... Toyota world saying there's no sticker price shock in Canada is B.S. absolutely not true. It's a major topic here
Does the Canadian market have anything to do with the US? Not sure why I’m in the US listening to him talk about the Canadian market. Also, the main reason Toyota recalls are so big is due to the reliability issue. Not some sort of technology issue from the EPA or safety standards. Toyota took something that worked and made it worse. I don’t care how many cars you sell we’ve been selling and making engines. Toyota chose to make a product. We shouldn’t be giving them any slack on this.
At the prices they are charging/asking, they have no excuses good enough. Bleed a customer dry on a $55k-$75k Tundra only to have the engine grenade prematurely - this deserves to be treated as a major consumer issue.
Yes waste of time
Why is a guy from Canada on this channel?
@@dscheerer68 😂😂😂😐😐😐🥹🥹🥹
@@dscheerer68because the Canadian car market is cooling in moderation whereas Americans are still being pretty dumb and spending money they don't have. So it gives you a good insight as to what the car market will be like in America when the fools down there overspend themselves into a major recession or depression. It's foreshadowing!
Plus toyota charges $10,000 per yr for diagnostics from dealers.
That would greatly limit where emergency repairs could
Be repaired.
A failure to properly build a block isn’t a high tech part issue. Toyota’s lack of solutions to date doesn’t help. Sorry. To me it sounds like the bean counters detrimentally influenced quality control.
New Camry’s Traffic jam assist requires both upgrade package and subscription!
I am done with toyota since they discontinued the 1.8 corolla engine and the independent rear suspension on the LE. And discontinued the 5.7 v8 for turbocharged garbage.
Our first car in this country was a Toyota in 2001 and two months later all sorts of electrical problems when cars were not as complicated as they are now. Ever since then, we only buy Honda/Acura and we have never had any issues like that. Even with the big takata recall, Honda worked quickly and efficiently.
Look at the incentives on Toyotas… there are none. They’re doing just fine.
I looked, didn't take long. Toyota shows deals thru local deals. One was $2,000 customer cash on a Tundra i-force max. There were others.
@@steven4315 ya becuase they can’t sell them due to recalls. $2,000 is peanuts on a $65,000 truck.

I bought a beautiful but high mileage 96 LS400 with over 300 000 miles for 1500 bucks , drove it for 6 years , never had a problem. Was on its original timing belt. Best car , powertrain ever !! Built in Japan. Built with care. Where is this quality now?

Your heading to Yosemite during a heat wave. The valley is great and scenic and busy, plus will be quite hot. Head up the tioga road (highway 120), check out overlook at Olmsted point, get in the water at the east end of tenaya lake, and check out tuolumne meadows. Will probably be around 70 degrees daytime up there. I lived nearby Yosemite for 45 years. Enjoy
What a shame....takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a minute to lose it. They have lost my respect. To put out engines that are failing at 3k miles, customers getting new engines multiple time, etc. I would not get anything with the new engines.
Yosemite! I backpacked there many years ago. Absolutely stunning. Take plenty of water, and a good water filter device.
You’re going to Yosemite in the middle of an epic heat wave and a forest fire closing the access road? Reschedule for the late fall.
I got a 2019 Mustang last Nov with 17k miles from a Ford dealer. Looked like new and had new Pirelli tires! Got it for 21k and PenFed gave me 6.89%. A couple months ago, a different credit union gave me 4.89% to refi without any fees. I know it is rare, but better rates are out there if you have good credit and look!
That Toyota Guy is full of it!, people ain’t stupid; he’ thinks because Toyota is the biggest company; we have to accept their recall fixes! 🙄
You guys go ahead and name the other RUclipsrs that are spreading false information. I know who they are cuz I've heard it but why not call them out on it? Not necessary to always be the nice guy, especially if they're saying false things about you and your organization.
Things to do at Yosemite, Sunday brunch at the Ahwahnee Hotel. There's also a short hike you can take near there.
Toyota has been good in the past with recalls but when someone spends $70k plus for a pickup I would expect that Toyota would have tested the crap out of the engine
2015 RAV4 LE - No issues
2018 RAV4 SE Hybrid - Dealer overfilled oil, constant passenger front vibration (shook front passenger door) dealer said it was normal.
2017 Corolla LE (Used) - Bought in 2021, has the common carbon buildup issue (waiting a stoplights the engine RPM's will drop especially with the AC on).
That electronic filing fee is the same thing as a doc fee. Lol
It's so weird that Toyota always seems to have "problems" whenever American Auto sales are sluggish lol Go get your f-150s folks 😂 I'm going to be over here pulling out my floor mat from under my Prius gas pedal
Where did they get a 13% off MSRP on a Venza?
This sounds like a cop out response honestly. Yes they produce more vehicles but they also employ more personal. It’s not like they’re making them with less than any other manufacturer.
Would buyers except that reasoning form any other manufacturer? If several of their new products were recalled for engine problems and safety issues?
It’s so bad Toyota dealerships won’t take new model Tundra’s as a trade in.
trading in my Hybrid 2021 rav4 now for a brand new Sienna that miraculously popped became available at my local toyota dealership. I could not believe it as I had everything set for a gas grand highlander (2nd option) . Recalled hit and a week later they called me and said they got a sienna which was my first choice. Grabbed it. Obviously no room to negotiate but at least no dealer markups like many other dealerships
Love you ghys' videos. I'm not even buying in this upside down world yet Im waiting to watch every day. When/if the time comes I feel I have much more knowledge. Thanks
We bought two cars through them. Thanks CarEdge! And I still watch them. They’re super entertaining and informative and knowledgeable.
In the tech field they generally don't do two week notices at least in my area. But they could have also been let go.
Toyota customer service is really bad! I have taken my highlander back for a on going problem and poor service people who don't care like it's not their problem!
I love Toyotas I proudly own a 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE, it’s amazing ! It’s astounding the quality and the amazing fuel economy!!! I love the new Camry hybrid too! Just a great company . They are just sorting out the kinks !
But Toyota moved production to Mexico, just saying.
Not all Toyotas are built in Mexico right. Hardly any really.
@@FrankySilverFace Most of the ones they are having problems with.
The used market for the Mirai here in Los Angeles is insane. You can get these cars, just a few years old with very low mileage (say 35K), for like $5K.
It seems that some brand new cars are in limbo on the shipping doc at the south end of Seattle waterfront. 100s just been parked there for about 2 months.
Toyota is one of the largest companies in the world. It is also the most indebted company in corporate history (outside the Financial Sector).

I was driving from Milbrae CA to Palo Alto on US101 freeway on Sunday July 7 and noticed a large red 'MSRP or Less' banner attached to Toyota101 building in Redwood City.
I’ve been waiting for almost over a year now to get a recall fixed on my RAV4 WTH 🤦🏻♀️
I’m curious when this guy’s lot last actually had inventory?
Keep the JUICE flowing Ray and Zach! You guys have changed the landscape of how many view the process of buying cars but also by keeping true to your initial mission. Many thanks...
The current Venza like the first Venza was never a big hit. It’s now a fancier higher priced RAV4 Hybrid that is soon to be discontinued. Prices of used examples are also dropping as there are a fair number of 2021(leases?) now on the market. Production model changeover is probably happening over these next few weeks, meaning the Venza is now likely history. What the dealers have on their lots or what is in transit is all the inventory we will see. For those looking to buy a RAV4 Hybrid a discounted Venza might be a good alternative.
My dad bought a brand new 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser with a plow package for around $4,500. He said Ford and Chevy were the same money ... and not with a plow. P.S. That thing was a beast.
guys what happened? theres another channel saying you are double dipping and charging customers and the dealership and taking a cut on both endds
Let me be as clear as possible, we collect nothing from dealers or manufacturers, zero, nada, not a penny. Our fee from our customer is our only compensation. All the best, Ray
They need to lower the prices
Toyota manufacturing and Toyota dealerships are not in any trouble in any way shape or form. There are 1537 Toyota dealerships in the United States, there are between 2,800 and 3,000 Ford dealerships. These two manufacturers battle for number one or number two for total sales each year, who do you think makes the most profit? The one with twice as many dealerships? Toyota did exactly what you two recommended which is limiting inventory, which limits floor plan, and floor plan costs. Honda can't keep hybrid CRVs in stock, and when the Honda Civic hybrid start hitting their dealerships they won't be able to keep them in stock either. Ford bet on $1200 a month trucks, people may want them but they can't afford them..
Toyota has $240 BILLION in debt, more than any other company in the world. Toyota has to take cost out and we see the results in the Tundra and Tacoma. All US Tacomas are now made in Mexico where they pay the workers a fraction yet Toyota RAISED the price by @25% and loyal Toyota buyers are appalled at what they did w/ their Taco Now buyers are trying to buy the 4Runner before the new model comes out.

In my opinion, you guys are great! Keep it up!
Ray got it right, the guest was a total Toyota fanboy. He claims Toyota is different and the historically handle their recalls the way they're supposed to be handled, unlike the other manufacturers, lmao! I guess he's got a short-term memory and Toyota does have a good PR department. Just a couple from recent history - the frame rust issue that went on for years, even decades , the unintended acceleration problem, the oil consumption issue. In all of these cases they knew there was a problem and they drag their feet come out blaming customers, putting Band-Aid fixes on repeatedly u til the warranties explired. Some of these we're truly hazardous defects and Toyota denied and refused to do anything until they ere forced. The frame rust issue was onown for years and so many people had to shell out tons of their hard earned money to fix rusted frames while Toyota refused to admit a problem. We're not talking about surface rust we're talking about frames rusting completely in half, beds rusting out completely. This went on for years and although it was primarily tacomas, it was a problem in several models. Some had suspension components rusting out. Talk about unsafe. I know a couple of people that had to deal with this first hand. Toyota didn't do the right thing when they had the chance, they were forced to fix things by class action lawsuits. Everyone talks about yeah Toyota did the right thing they replace my frame, no other manufacturer would, smh. They only did it because they were forced to do so in court. Despite this, they never really admitted they were wrong. Like I said, great PR department. Pretty much the same thing with the unintended acceleration issue. People were getting into accidents left and right and they were blaming the drivers. That went on for a long time as well. They eventually issued recalls, about 8 million. In addition to the cost of that , they also paid millions in fines because of of their failure to notify the NHTSA until so mny complaints puled up that they had to. Same denial and refusal with their oil consumption same denial and refusal and blaming when it comes to the oil consumption issue. How about the financing scam that just happened a few months ago? What about the falsifying of records for emissions? They've been busted for that before. Now the engine problems with the tundra and Tacoma. Also transmission problems as well, 280k vehicle recall for tundras and Sequoia. They initially denied that too, but I'll give them credit for doing something before they were forced to do so in court. Yeah all manufacturers have problems, but please save me the holier than thou, Toyota is doing the right thing and they're doing things because they care.
@zach , Yosemite is Amazing been going there just about every year for 50 years. Float a raft from Curry Village to Sentinal Beach (They rent rafts there) , take a sunrise hike up the mist trail to Vernal and Nevada falls.
Zach’s facial expressions and mannerisms makes him look like Kaitlan Collins on CNN. Hilarious
Just nods in agreement no pushback.
For a prime car makers and have their customers waiting so long for their cars is simply bad. These customers just have to move to another car maker and forget about their bullshit.
All recalls are not the same and acting like they are is insulting. Good job Zach.
Whenever a corporation fails at doing the one thing that they are supposed to do well….just blame government regulations :) I love how these guys mask their relationships & fear of losing accessibility with their respective auto brands by carry water for them.
I worked for 20 years in the automotive world we made all kinds of Toyota parts. Toyota is just better at hiding problems than most. I wouldn't buy another Toyota they're not better than many other companies. They're overpriced for what you're getting.
Yeah, they hide them for 300 or 400 thousand miles.
21:29 local Detroit news sources say foreign managers are coming in”to clean up the mess”. Stellantis is aiming for a 30% cost reduction. We know people are the number 1 cost source. Stellantis also looking to shut down the tech center that Lee Iacocca built. Stellantis will use their engineers in India instead.
Excellent presentation. Keep up the good work.
I have no idea how many offroaders there are in North America. Has Toyota overcalculated the market? If so, the offroaders are younger buyers who have more limited incomes. Methinks Cruisers are overpriced for this buyers group. Time will tell.
This guy sounds just like a politician or a newscaster. The world is blowing up on the screen behind them, but there’s nothing to see here all is well. I’ve always been a fan of the Tacoma and have owned five. My 07 has almost 275,000 miles on it and still looks new and run strong but was just informed my frame is shot and it will not meet state inspection. I am retired and cannot afford to replace it. Guess I’ll be walking.
It doesn’t seem to be hurting their RAV4 sales. It took me a few months just to test drive a hybrid.
The main title should read TOYOTA IS IN TROUBLE. Period...MEANTIME, IN THE REST OF THE WORLD...KIAs AND HYUNDAIs ARE GETTING BETTER & BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems like GM, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep etc. just extend warranties for mechanical issues - instead of issuing a recall. I try to differentiate between a design/engineering issue (it was made to spec but the spec was bad) and a manufacturing issue (the manufacturing plant didn't meet the spec). Can you explain how it is decided its ok to just extend the powertrain warranty over a recall?
Toyota parts charged me 77 bucks for a wire connector for the steering switch.
Playing with supply to fix a higher price that is artificial and profit greedy is not a good formula. Too high a price, no incentives or lower financing, quality is not there. All the manufacturers are simply out of their minds.
Saying auto manufacturers don't know product demand is like saying life insurance companies can't make money because they don't understand actuaries.
Why doesn't anyone talk about Subarus? I've owned Hondas and Toyotas and they are both great and everyone says so. It seems like customers like Subarus fine.
I would say shill not fanboy.
Toyota isn't recalling current trucks with the same problem because they won't be allowed to sell them until fixed. Scummy business when they never should have run turbos in their trucks. Other companies do have recalls, not for engines exploding
I am wondering if top US execs leaving Stellantis is a prelude to them selling the RAM and Dodge brand. Makes sense in that in a takeover the new company does not have to negotiate buyouts as they have their own execs.
Dudes, there are all kinds of Toyotas to drive off the lots in the dc area. No waits
