My mom has COPD/emphysema and has to use oxygen every night while she slept. Her doctors told her she could only hope for it to stabilize but not get any better since she smoked for thirty years of her life. After five years of this she decided she had nothing to lose and adopted a plant based whole food diet after reading Dr. Neil Bernard’s books. Within six months she no longer needed oxygen, and a year later her PC doctor was so surprised that he figured he had somehow misdiagnosed her even though she got a second opinion before investing in the oxygen machine. Not saying this will work for anyone else, but she lost almost fifty pounds and could finally walk and do yoga which only compounded her progress. She passed away, in a car collision, a few years ago and an autopsy was performed in the hope of determining what caused the collision. The pathologist told my family her cardiopulmonary system looked like someone 20 years her junior. If you have COPD never give up hope.

Good information. The biggest problem with these devices is the Price.. I bought a breathing device that looks Identical to The Breather. Even the same color, same settings, etc. Just doesn't say The Breather on the front of it. Works really well. I got mine off of Amazon for less that 20 bucks. It even came with an extra mouth piece and a Hard Case. The Breather people wanted an extra $15.00 for a hard case and their device was about $50.00. I am stage 4 copd with emphysema. I was on life support twice about 9 years ago. One of the Best benefits for copd people is Exercise. After Therapy of 12 weeks, I joined an Adult Wellness Center to continue exercising. My breathing as gone from 23% to now31%. And I have lots of Faith in God too that has been very beneficial. Thanks for the info guys!

It could help, but it's good to be careful with either of the two. Start low dosing and work your way up. Hydrogen peroxide can cause serious damage. 0,1% might be ok for inhalation - but try orally first! Inhalation is much more sensitive than oral consumption.

Hey. I don’t know if you guys will even see this or know what to reply haha but a year ago when I was 18, I randomly had shortness of breath. It happened, and then went away. A week later it came back. And then it got gradually worse for a couple weeks.... and then it got better. And now it’s stayed the same ever since. It gets worse from some allergy triggers, and it also gets worse before my period. I am basically never able to take a full breath and I cough up clear mucus. It gets worse sometimes and better other times. My Blood Oxygen levels on my oximeter are normal. My heart rate is normal. I’m just so confused. It’s like I have COPD but at the same time like I don’t. I also have eczema and I know that’s sometimes related to asthma, and I have PCOS which I know is too. It’s just so weird. It’s like I have constant asthma or something, and it just randomly started on the car ride back from an amusement park. And I don’t know I’m just scared and confused because I’m so young.

You can have COPD, pulmonary emphysema and pleural fibrosis with normal saturation in the 1st stage and towards the 2nd stage, which can then sati decrease the saturation

Breathing is of course good so I see how the first device might be helpful. The second device looks useful too. The fruits and vegetables part I disagree with for several reasons. Firstly the study you guys are referring to is based on one group that ate the same (meaning processed junk and sugar incl.) and the other group that ate fruit and vegetables which means they would have replaced some of the junk with healthier foods. Of course the group that ate more fruits and veggies would improve. Another reason I disagree with this is because so many people including myself have improved health in general with carnivore diet. Main point being - If you're eating fruits and veggies instead of some other really bad foods of course this an improvement. I don't however think that is optimal for most people especially if you have inflammation anywhere including lungs. I think most people will benefit from primarily meat based diet or even meat only at least for a little while to eliminate foods that are increasing inflammation.

Certainly not. Lydia Brady was the first woman to climb Mt. Everest without supplemental oxygen (1988). Not the very first woman to climb it. (Junko Tabei - 1975).

So sorry for your loss. It’s tough losing a loved one through this disease, and especially on Christmas Eve, no less. I lost my mom 11years ago from complications through COPD. I would’ve loved to have bought her this breather device to help her. I did buy one for myself.
