    Coach Donny I just wanna say thank you for all the videos you made because without them i would be so bad at volleyball and tomorrow me and my friends are gonna go play volleyball after like 2 or 3 months of not playing so this video is great since its a warmup so thank you.

    I used to drive my hand foward without too much of a turn in the wrist which gave the ball great Power, but unfortunately made me miss wide from the back row time and time again. Now that i ve mimiked your wrist motion over months, i can just snap the ball from a straight arm und spin it in from almost everywhere! Thanks donny!

    Thanks for this video! A bit relieved to see that I've mostly been peppering effectively for all these years. Almost got alliteration overload at the start, though: pepper how you play, pepper with purpose, pepper properly... :)

    Would it be possible to have the playlist sorted in order of what should be learnt first. As it is, the last video is the oldest, and from there it goes reverse using
    chronological order, and some sets are separated or named a bit oddly.
    Thank you for making these videos.

    Might be a silly question but do you use an outdoor volleyball for outside like this? Or is it better to use the normal indoor volleyballs to get used to it?

    • @narnianninja4964
      @narnianninja4964 2 года назад

      I know it's been a while so this is probably useless but just use any ball you like that you're fine with landing on the ground. It can be indoor if that's what you want to train with

    Hey! Recently I got into an accident and had my finger amputated. however the doctors managed to sew it back on. and i am currently recovering. I have no idea how long the process will take, but i'm hoping to be able to return to play my last year of high school volleyball the upcoming school year. Do you have any tips on how to return to playing volleyball after a serious injury?

      Height is an advantage in volleyball, not a requirement. And just because you're not too tall doesn't mean you should settle as a Libero or a Setter. Go for whatever position you want! Sure, you may have to try harder but it'll all pay off! Hope it's going well, good luck :)

    The science of motor learning, over 40+ years of study, has shown that learning and skill acquisition are extremely specific to the task. There is ZERO task in pepper that is the same as that in the game. To say that what you do in pepper will transfer to the game is just not correct according to the research. Granted, there may be a small amount of transfer, if we look at it as a continuum, with no transfer on one side and full transfer on the other. Pepper exists pretty close to the no transfer side, as non of the touches on the ball, nor the decisions being made, represent the tasks during play.

  • @JustVolleyballHD

    You got a good point there. Often Pepper is just a waste of time.
