      @@Farmerphil500 thats why if you want an all conditions drill you buy a combi. we run ours as up to 12k/h in stale seed beds with the power harrow in not much more than an inch and the coulter biting into the ground underneath, likewise in a wet year we can pull right back and leave a lovely job behind the plough. people seem to forget combi drills versatility. thats why we built our own so we can have our own spec machine. our output is also good we comfortably do 80+ acres a day, the record is 110 doing a double shift to beat the rain on some heavy ground.

    Great video once again Andrew, interesting to see the establishment behind each of the different drills. having attended the day both the sky drill and the weaving i thought were the most impressive in each of there categories so was interesting to see the results. the slotting that appears to have resulted i think is just an inevitable with the conditions we've had this year and the strength of your soil. however i do remember you mentioning that you quite liked the weaving drill for its simplicity, but you also said you think drills with rear packers have an advantage for you, as well as you love affair with Simba.
    would it not be a low cost simple solution to purchase another Simba freeflow (probably a 6 meter) remove all the leading tines, build a sub frame and replace the coulter tines with weaving sabre tines. this way you get a direct drill built to your spec on a budget and it could also be handled by your puma with the duals on leaving little compaction. just an idea.
    Keep up the good work, Jack

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  2 года назад

      That’s not a bad idea but it would be good to have a drill without a full width packet for when conditions are not brilliant, that’s why I like the Weaving. It also runs in lots of trash/straw
