Wait, outside Germany, Polish sense of humour actually has pretty decent reputation. Edit. After watching your reaction I just understood why it doesn't in Germany :D
It was interesting to get reaction of German and I fully accept it but still feel I need to make a disclaimer. The aim of this show was not to offend Germans unlike nationalist who mean it! It is about making fun of Polish mentality. One of its traits is the pesimistic attitude. Many of my older family members sound like Piotr's father. I found it hilarious because it is so accurate, but also very bitter in the same time cause of the burden of negativity. Anyway, this mindset did not come from nowhere. I guess this is the way old generations cope with experience of war and communism regime. Polish are not just usual pesimists for whom glass is half empty. Glass is full of emptiness cause they see threats which are a very vague possibility. Unfortunately, Germans and Russians are part of this theater of shadows. This narrative could be unacceptable for the people who grew up listening to other stories. Believe me it is also hard for Polish people when you have to confront reality and most of those stories are just useless and harmful. Fighting with sterotypes is a universal human experience which requires to leave comfort zone.
Hey, why didn't you watch the whole thing, especially the part about being in the Warsaw basement as a Pole, and he asked if there was any Germans there in the audience. And he gladly sounded the sigh of relief when everybody said on😂
There should be always avaible subtitles for ppl from abroad to help the commedians from non-english countries glow. Cheers 🤙🏻 Btw Germany owes Poland 200 billions Euro.
No "like" button from a Pole as I felt the classic "german" vibe towerds Poles. But I like your RL channel anyway 😊 it's funny and creative. Flirting by Piotrek you'll find better.
Well, it is true that our former right-wing government tried really hard to keep the anti-german narration in the state owned media and wrong and harmful things were said in European Parliament. It is very easy to play on the emotions connected with our past as each family lost the loved ones, and people went through atrocities both Germany and Russia induced. However, majority of Poles want to move on, remember -sure, but we want to develop as much as we can being denied that for such a long time. I can imagine as a German you have been also constantly reminded on the topic of war, the guilt, the shame. It's tiresome, I get it. I'm under the impression that you don't think too highly of us Poles, and if that's the effect of the past 8 years narrative, it would be quite sad, like it actually worked, what the nationalists wanted. And I mean no disrespect here, it's not like everyone needs to like us, it's just that you are the younger generation, the good thing would be for our nations to finally get to know eachother without prejudice and who can do it if not the young ones. Of course my impression could be totally off, which would actually be a good thing. As for the jokes about older generation and war, well, they sell well and will for a long time I think 😅 But perhaps it's a good thing.
Also here's an interesting video you might like to look at. The narrator does include maps of where the cities are. Channel: World According to Briggs. Video: Top 10 Worst Cities in the United States to live in 2021

'That's a Polish talent, making every conversation about the war'... No knowledge at all or 100% of ignorance
