- Before Bailey Zappe entered the game against the Packers Sunday afternoon. The media felt that coach Belichick must have given Bailey words of encouragement as he was entering the game. They don’t know Coach Belichick.. lol

I honestly believe he respects vets more than younger dudes. I think that’s obvious though! Also, if you’re a vet who has accomplished things in the league, like Cam has, he will shower you with respect and admiration. Remember, in two games against Bill, Cam went 2-0, with 525 passing yards and 106 yards on the ground.
It is clearly obvious, at least to me, that Bill has ALLOT of respect for Cam because of the whoppin’ he put on Bill’s teams.
That said, Bill always preaches the “what have you done for me lately” mantra, and at that time Cam was just filling a vacant QB hole, and despite all the lip service Bill gave to Cam, I have a different theory of why Bill praised Cam as often as he did!
We’ve not seen a black QB that started under bill in New England or on a Kraft owned team. It’s odd to me that Bill droned ON AND ON in every press conference about how amazing Cam was and how hard he worked. Despite the terribly, God Awful performances Cam continued to display in ‘20 and in the training camp of ‘21, where some rookie kid showed that Cam is not a cerebral QB and relied entirely on his legs to even appear as a halfway decent thrower of the ball.
I’m getting off topic. Bill didn’t want to seem racist and have his team and the league view him as Raider lol racist. Especially in todays backwards ass society.
